Our 30th anniversary celebrated at this great resort
Me and my husband have never been to a Sensatori before and wanted to try one, plus it was all inclusive which we've never done before either so we went for the original Sensatori in Crete. We had booked a double sea view room and the travel agent mentioned we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. On arrival we were given a letter to read on the transfer coach, it informed us that they were pleased to advise that they had upgraded us to a sea view family suite!!! It was amazing, our suite overlooked the beach one side and the pool area the other side. We had champagne waiting in the room and it was fabulous. On our actual anniversary they gave us a heart shaped choc cake saying 'happy anniversary ' a red rose and lovely little card. They really could not do enough for us and we absolutely loved our holiday. There was lots of little things they did every day to make your holiday special like a little gift left in your room to a bottle of water and chocolates to take on your return journey back to the airport. The entertainment in the evenings was top notch with some fabulous singers and great shows laid on followed by more entertainment up on the roof terrace after the show had finished. The food was the best I've ever had and we've stayed in some top notch hotels and being vegetarian that is some achievement. Loved it! !!!!More

Happy to book again
We had such a great experience last summer we have book again to arrive 18 May 2017. First time in my life I have returned to the same hotel. Think that speaks volumes:-) so looking forward to meeting the team again! More
We spent 7 days here for our honeymoon and could not fault the holiday one bit!! The hotel had exceptionally high standards throughout our stay in every aspect. The food is of the highest quality and plentiful in choice and volume you will certainly not go hungry!! The staff were fantastic extremely attentive and friendly- nothing was too much trouble and our room was cleaned every day and the nightly turn down service was a really lovely touch. I would highly recommend this hotel and will most certainly be returning!!!More
DO NOT BOOK SWIM-UP ROOM AT THIS HOTEL UNTIL YOU READ THIS
My wife and I paid £600 extra for a swim -up pool at this hotel travelling in September 2016. I requested in advance a room which obtained the sun in the mornings as it would suit our holiday needs. I know you can't always get what you ask for and took this on board. When we arrived at the airport in Crete we received our room details . Block 9000. On arrival at the hotel we were shown our room and couldn't believe our eyes. This room/terrace/ pool was facing North west with 16 foot laylandii trees within 3 meters of the pool. Not only did it take the sun and light away it obscured a bar which played music until the early hours of the morning just over the road which was right behind the trees. This room received the sun at approx 13.15 and because of the rooms angle and the trees the sun was off by 16 .00. We have our lunch between 13.30 and 15.00 and so missed most the sun. It wasn't worth trecking back to the room for approx 45 sun mins, then moving again to another part of the hotel for the rest of the days . The rooms which were approx 100 meters down from us facing the same way had nothing in front of them and so received the sun until it went down in the early evening. The pool water had so little sunshine on it was freezing and so we never used it. After 2 days I complained to the holiday reps and asked to be moved. Surprise to say they told me it wasn't possible, even though I know other rooms with a swim up pool were empty. I believe £600 extra is a lot of money ,and if our rooms were cheaper than others (which I don't believe they were ) then we should have been advised these rooms and limited access to the sun, and then we wouldn't have booked the it. The rooms are well away from most of the amenities so you are out on a limb .This may appeal to some ,but not to us. The people next door to us called the area as a prison with a trench. I contacted Thomson's on three occasions asking questions. They replied that they had investigated our complaint but offered on explanation. They then stated that if I wrote to complain again they would not reply.I was so incensed I contacted the C.E.O ,but received to reply. I believe this to be a disgrace and Thomson's have no concern for customers who have travelled with them for years. Don't get me wrong ,this is a very good hotel , and is possibly the best hotel we have stayed in on short haul holidays. However don't be ripped off like us.More
Will Visit Again even though not quite 5*
We visited the hotel in the summer but haven't got around to writing a review. Will happily visit again for the staff alone! Fantastic service for me and my family. Travelled with two young kids who are belly aching to go back and still recall the staff by their names. The chef catered for me so well - vegetarian and gluten free, never an issue. Floors are certainly slippy around the area so maybe keep slippers on when walking and not quite 5*. Just a touch a luxury missing but certainly worth a visit. Family room was great, very large, separate but connecting room for the kids. Would upgrade to a room with access to a pool next time.More
