After never visiting Crete before me and wife decided visit Crete and found a brilliant deal with Atlantica the hotel itself layout wise is the best I've experienced on my past holidays plenty of bars and pools to choose from the hotel itself is just outside platanias 10 min walk or the bus stop itself was just outside the top end of the hotel staff are great and the food was tasty drinks were made great and the ground keeping was perfect no rubbish anywhere pools were clean and so were the public toilets upon arrival greeted with drinks and food unfortunately the weather wasn't brilliant on some days due to in being October and the hotel didn't really provide anything to do when the weather was bad . The snack bar was great I would defiantly recommend trying there gyros.... kebab to us brits amazing ðthe beach is a stone beach and was very hard to walk on the waves were massive when we went but added to the Fun would certainly return in the future ......More
A great hotel with an abundance of things to do.
The Atlantica is a beautiful hotel, located across the road from the beach and spread over a vast complex. We stayed in a standard double swim up room and although it added a nice little luxury of a pool outside your terrace, we probably wouldn't go for it again. However we tried. The room was pristine, it was practical, clean, tidy and Sensatori standard. Greeted with a welcome drink on arrival and a smooth check in process. Before we knew it we were by the pool or indulging in the restaurants. Lots of pools and separate adults and children's pools too. Perfect for relaxing away from the hustle bustle and excitement. The Resturant varieties were great, the Asian themed served beautiful food, as did the day time tex mex. Our favourite by far was the stone grill. It was an extra to the all inclusive package but it was worth it for the amazing food and atmosphere. Do book it. Entertainment was great for a resort and although we spent most nights drinking in the cocktail lounge, we did sit out and watch some of the bar singers. There is limited to see in the immediate areas around the resort, however we wane to chill out so we didn't explore much. Great gym facilities and an indoor pool for when it got a little chillier. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner featured a few of the same things each time however all in all a great selection for a variety of tastes. Book into the A La Carte's though when you can. We've considered on numerous occasions to book again and I'm sure will do so in the future, most likely with family as this hotel suited families a little more than a couples retreat. Loved it though and booking through Thomson Holidays made everything super easy. More
One of my favourite hotels ever. The adults area (myself and my sister are 20 and 24 and my parents too) was our favourite place as we could relax in the sun, but the hotel has many pools for all sorts of families. The restaurants in the hotel were all simply stunning, the food (especially the Chinese) was amazing and there was tons of variety. The rooms were stunning and it was evident we were staying at a 5 star resort. Wifi was great but it barely stretched to our room which was a bit of a pain.. but not the purpose of a holiday so it was great to have to listen to music by the pool and I could even watch Netflix while I tanned. Ideal. Overall, this hotel has something for everyone and I would LIVE here if I could. More
We came here expecting great things after going to the Side Sensatori. We were left quite disappointed. The hotel is quite old and our room was showing its age. Also a had a damp smell that would not go. Tv reception was awful and made it unwatchable. THE BIGGEST ISSUE. All guests have to sign for everything which means the queues at the bars are a joke sometimes and I could not see the point of it. This hotel does not feel 5 star, more like a solid 4 star. More
My husband and I stayed at the Sensatori in Mexico in September 2015. We loved it and so decided to book another Sensatori. We stayed here in August 2016. The staff are very nice here but there is nothing to do outside of the hotel. There is no pool bar, it's difficult to get sunbeds, it was no where near as good as the one in Mexico. The rooms are so small and very dated. You have to pay to use the beach. There was only the buffet restaurant, the Greek restaurant and Thai restaurant to eat at. The buffet was okay, the Greek wasn't very nice but the Thai was wonderful. Overall, we were quite let down. We paid more to come here than we did to go the one in Mexico.More
