You get the best of both worlds at the Mika Apartments – they’re set on a sleepy hillside, but lively Hersonissos is just 10 minutes’ drive away.
It’s a tale of two halves at these apartments. They might have a low-key village postcode, but it’s only a short taxi ride into Hersonissos if you want to pick up the pace in the town’s bars and clubs.
The décor here goes classic Greek, thanks to cool white rooms, blue woodwork, and mosaic-edged pools. Speaking of the pools, there are two of them, along with a couple of spots to have a drink in.

Could be better
Stayed here mid September, was led to believe the top end by the pool was the quietest, it wasn't. There was lots of traffic & Street noise all times of day & night making sleep difficult. The room was spacious but very basic, only a plug in cheap electric 2 ring appliance to cook on , there was a kettle but no toaster. The 'maid" I use this term loosely, came in most days but did NOTHING other thand empty the bins & pull the covers over the bed. The bedding was changed only once in a 2 week stay, the towels only twice. The floors weren't swept & the bathroom not cleaned (I did this myself in the end) . We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool towards the sea, the outlook was picturesque but the pool area, the pool itself & the sunbeds looked shabby. The pool was lit up at night by flashing multicoloured lights which were out of place for the village type feel of Piskopiano itself & ruined the ambience if you wanted to use the balcony at night, & they flashed all night till the early hours, unnecessary waste of elextricate in my opinion, only low lighting necessary & would have created a more relaxed atmosphere, rather than a night club feel! The owners were however very welcoming, the shop sold the basics & was open all hours so quite convenient although typically more expensive than the shops up in the main street. There are a few small supermarkets selling fresh baked bread, fresh fruit etc. The apartments are well situated just a short walk up the hill to the main area where there are numerous shops, bars & restaurants. The food in all the restaurants we visited was all good quality Greek Cuisine, could not fault the friendliness or cleanliness of any of them. You could stay here for a month & still not have been to them all, so many to choose from amongst the 3 villages which run into each other & it's pleasant to wander around them exploring the streets where there is still lots of local life going on amongst the hustle & bustle of the holidaymakers. Traffic on these little streets though does pose a problem, the level of pollution at busy times was quite toxic. All in all, it was a changer to stay in a village rather than a beach resort, we are not the types to return to places as there are so many other places in the World to explore, but would recommend Piskopiano itself but Mika villas needs a lot of improvement.More
Debora J M,
We stayed in apt 110 from the Oct 2 till Oct 9,we found the apt spotlessly clean. The towels and Linen were changed every day,the 2 cleaning Ladies were really nice, and Ellani the manager and Yanis were most helpful. The only issue we had was the night security guy was a little bit heavy handed with his approach, other than that we had a most enjoyable stay, would definitely return.More
Horrible apartments sheets weren't changed all week and we had to beg for clean towels. Shower didn't have any hot water in the morning and the shower curtain was filthy with green mould also the bathroom was full of ants . Never againMore
Very very basis
Piskopiano is a lovely little village with lovely tavernas I would go again. The mika apartment however was not nice at all the mattresses were filthy I wish I'd never looked!!! There was a two ring cooker on top of a very unhygienic looking fridge we had no clean sheets in 7 days although the towels were changed once.the drain in our bathroom was broken and we we're faced with murky shower water to paddle in each time we ran the shower or tap. The shower curtain was filthy and stained. Large pool area was rowdy with loud music the small pool was nice and quiet unfortunately there were no sun umbrellas around either pool therefore it was difficult to shade from the blazing sun if using the shoddy loungers around the pool. The whole place needs some time and money spending on it as it seems a shame to let what could've potentially been an nice place to stay go to rack and ruin. Reception staff who are in the shop during the day are helpful and friendly shop prices are reasonable I would love to go back to the area but would look for a better place to stay ð©ð©More
