This place is in a quiet spot right across from the beach. There’s a pool here, and Elounda is nearby.
This place has a great spot near the beach. And each of the rooms has a balcony or terrace overlooking the pool. Even though it’s self-catered, the barbecue night brings everyone together.
Just over the road is a sand-and-shingle beach. And it’s about 10 minutes’ walk to Elounda’s main square, where there are lots of bars, tavernas and authentic Greek cafés.
This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until October 2016.

It was our first visit to the Manos after numerous recommendations from my customers (I work in travel). What an absolute delight the manos was. The accommodation was basic but clean, we had everything we needed. Hercules the bar man is so friendly very hospitable and will tell you anything you need to know about Elounda. The manager Lorraine is always around to speak to and again is very welcoming. The 2 ladies on the bar, who do all the cooking (whose names I cant remember) are really lovely, and the food is always great! breakfast is amazing. Elounda is the prettiest place I have ever been too. The restaurants around the harbour and to the right of the manos are just to die for. Our favourites being the Vacuous and Poulis (which is built on a jetty in the sea). If you want to sample tradiotonal Greece and want a welcoming, friendly and all round great accommodation-try the manos, you will not be disappointed. We are booking up or next year and we cant wait!More
Here we go again......
We have been coming here for a number of years now and have never been disappointed. Over the years we have met up with other couples and formed friendships. Larraine and Aspasia (who makes the towels into fabulous animal shapes) could not be more helpful. Maria and Nectaria behind the bar cook a wide range of great breakfasts, lunches and snacks - always served with a smile. Heracles gives a cheerful welcome to the evening guests. Totally relaxing. There is everything you need - let's face it you are not going to go "self-catering" and spend all your time in the kitchen! We'll be back - meanwhile thanks for another great holiday.More

Great location, amazing staff
This was our first visit to Elounda and the Manos apartments. We visited the first week of October and the weather, which we were abit worried about before setting off, was exceptionally warm and sunny. Elounda is a fishing village which has been developed over a number of years into a compact resort with pretty much everything you would want - lots of restaurants and tavernas, nice beach and plenty of shops. A great many Spinalonga day trips leave from the harbour which gives the place quite a buzz in the day. At night it's a shimmering, rather beautiful place and as we went in October was never too crowded, noisy or rowdy. Manos is positioned a very short walk (10 mins leisurely pace) from the centre of the resort. It has a decent (though slightly small) pool and is right opposite a very nice beach which we used everyday. There is a decent supermarket a couple of minutes away and you are spoilt for choice for places to eat. We had room 17 which was great. Spacious, clean and with a great view of Elounda Bay from our sizeable balcony. The staff at Elounda were fantastic. The two ladies who run the Pool Bar in the day are great and do a dizzying array of breakfasts and food - always with a big smile. Hercules runs the bar at night and makes every guest feel like a VIP. I really can't praise him highly enough. Larraine is the manager and is very approachable and helpful. As we travelled in October most of the guests were on the (ahem) older side but that didn't bother us. It was always quiet. I would really recommend the Manos. Perfect location, amazing staff and clean and well appointed. The perfect place for exploring the East of the island. More
Just as good as last year! Larraine and her team really looked after us, regular cleaning & changing bedding, towels etc. We were made to feel very welcome. The other guests all got on well together and as a result there was never a dull moment, laughs all round. Pleasant stroll into the town where there is a variety of good restaurants, for the more able/energetic there are good restaurants up the hill behind Manos. Lunches & snacks available at the pool bar are very reasonably priced, good variety and tasty. Again the ladies cooking and serving are friendly and helpful. Favourite restaurants were Oloundi, Paradosiako, Vachus & The Hope. Morning coffee at the Allygos on the harbour where Alex serves a delicious Frappe! We'll be back very soon, possibly as soon as the season starts next year.More
Great location but that's about it
As some other reviewers have already suggested, I suspect Manos has a loyal following on TripAdvisor as I can't think why else there are so many 5* reviews. Don't get me wrong it's not an awful place by any means, but it's far from perfect too. Also I should add that I've moderated my own review, improving it from 2 to 3 stars as I recognize it's been a while since I stayed self-catering and so perhaps my expectations were a little high going in, but I've tried to take that into account. Starting with the positives then, the location really is excellent - right on the Northern edge of Elounda so it doesn't feel crowded, but just a few minutes walk from the main harbour area and the main beach. There is a smaller beach just opposite which actually gets much less crowded when the boat trips arrive, and is slightly less rocky in the water too. Also a mini-market just up the road towards Plaka for supplies. That really is the main plus point for me. The apartment itself was clean and served its purpose, but very basic and also pretty small - I stayed there by myself in an apartment that "sleeps up to 4", but honestly I can't imagine 4 adults or grown-up children fitting into it without stepping on each others' toes. The kitchen/dining area (which is really the only communal space) is only a few feet square (the size of a small UK bedroom perhaps) and I think would feel claustrophobic with more than two people in it at once. Also despite it being self-catering I would have expected some basics such as soap in the bathroom, but there was none. Each apartment does have at least one balcony/patio area but these all face either the apartment in front or behind so no privacy at all. Most of the guests were elderly and it seems very popular with people from the North of England in particular, so if that's you then I expect you'll love it, but I felt like an outsider and despite saying hello a few times, seemed to get ignored by everyone around me (maybe my accent - or lack thereof - was confusing). The guy behind the bar did greet me as I walked past, so that's something I guess. I can't comment on the food/drink as I never ate there, it seemed a bit pointless staying self-catering and then eating at the apartment when there are so many nice tavernas nearby, but that's a personal choice I guess. All in all it could have been any apartment anywhere, and I'm sure if that's what you want then it's fine - the location is a real positive hence I couldn't give it less than 3 stars, but it was quite expensive and so I can't really call it good value and if I ever go back to Elounda I think I'd sooner pay more and find a hotel somewhere with a bit of character.More
