This place is in a quiet spot right across from the beach. There’s a pool here, and Elounda is nearby.
This place has a great spot near the beach. And each of the rooms has a balcony or terrace overlooking the pool. Even though it’s self-catered, the barbecue night brings everyone together.
Just over the road is a sand-and-shingle beach. And it’s about 10 minutes’ walk to Elounda’s main square, where there are lots of bars, tavernas and authentic Greek cafés.

Good budget hotel
Manos apartments was just as good as other reviewers have described. Although there were only 2 of us we were given room No. 9 which had 2 double bedrooms a kitchen and bathroom. There were also 3 balconies, one off each room. This gave us great panoramic views of the mountains and the sea. We would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the shower cubicle. We have never seen such a small shower unit. The base was no more than two and a half feet square. We are both quite small build and struggled (especially when I tried to wash my long hair) so we don’t know how people who were larger than us managed to use it. The bar staff were fantastic and really friendly. All in all we had a lovely holiday at Manos apartments despite being a little unlucky with the weather.More
Great holiday in May, going again in September!
We had such a lovely holiday in May that we have just booked to go back in September! Nice rooms, excellent position near beach and town. Elounda is a really friendly, relaxed place with things to do and loads of nice restaurants. Vachus restaurant is worth a visit or 2 or 3. Try and find the Hope restaurant up the hill at the back of Manos. Well worth a visit! See you in September Manos, can't wait!!More
Superb apartment complex in a superb location in Elounda
Got back from a weeks holiday at the Manos yesterday (11 June) after a brilliant week in Elounda. Not sure where to start with this review as everything was good from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, the staff were all so polite and helpful and the bar did a great selection of drinks and meals. Would recommend the full English breakfast as well. The pool area was clean, and we never had any trouble getting a sun bed even in the afternoons. There is no reception as such but your allocated room is on a notice board on the way up the slope towards the entrance, but can understand this may be a bit tricky for late arrivals, but on the whole worked ok for us. Elounda is a cracking resort and probably one of the most traditional "Greek" places I've been to. There's loads of lovely taverna's and restaurants and many actually on the sea front with stunning views. A trip to Spinalonga is highly recommended, but would suggest walking to Plaka a pleasant 3 mile walk and get the ferry from there and get the return ferry back to Elounda, as nobody actually checks the tickets. My favourite restaurants where, The Hope, up on the hill (need to book) was very nice and reasonably priced and The Ferryman on the quayside. Mams House also do a great Greek night on Wednesday, food and Greek dancing where the owner is crazy to say the least, but was a good night. Top tip - this is the last drop off on the Thompson's coach and takes about 2 hrs, so save yourself the grief after a long flight and get a taxi or private transfer, as only took about 50 minutes so well worth the extra cost. Would I return? Yes definitely as loved The Manos and Elounda, thanks for a great holiday. More
Lovely relaxing holiday
I absolutely loved staying here. I'd really like to say how dreadful it was so I can keep it all to myself!! But the truth is, it's a great place. The apartments are just opposite the beach and in a great location for heading into the centre to try the amazing selection of restaurants. The bar at the apartments also does a good selection of food and drinks all day and not just burgers etc, they also do lovely salads. The pool is great and has a good smattering of sun loungers around it, apartments are clean with a good selection of appliances including hairdryer. All the staff are incredibly friendly and very accommodating, couldn't do enough for you. I have just booked to go again next year, which is unusual for me as I never normally go back to the same place, but I relaxed so much whilst staying here I couldn't resist!More
Great Value and location
The Manos Apartments are located right on the edge of the small fishing town of Elounda. This is an excellent location as you only need to walk a few minutes to be at the harbour where all the shops and restaurants can be found. There were 9 of us in total in our group so we had 4 apartments between us. Everyone seemed happy with the rooms, they were very clean and had good balcony areas. Self catering facilities include a fridge, sink, hot plate, toaster and some basic pots pans etc. I found the hotel very good value for money and would come back again. The staff are great, hard working, very polite and friendly. Food at the bar is good and you can get breakfast, snacks and ice creams here all day. Spinalonga If you enjoy reading, try 'The Island' before you come out to Elounda. This is a book all about Spinalonga and is based in Elounda and surrounding areas. Spinalonga gets absolutely swamped with tourists by 11am as this is where all the boats leave Elounda. Try walking up to Plaka (45 minutes) if you can, nice and early. Plaka is the next town along if you turn left out of the hotel. Plaka is smaller than Elounda but has a small boat which costs 8 euros per person and the 1st one leaves at 9. We pretty much had Spinalonga to ourselves until we were ready to leave at about 11am. There must have been 200 people getting off their boats queuing for tickets as we left, even if you get a taxi to Plaka, you will really be glad you avoided those crowds! Top Tips Plenty of shops and 2 supermarkets just a few minutes from the apartments. You can get pretty much everything in here so don't worry if you forget to pack something. Try the restaurants just up the hill above Manos apartments. Turn left out of hotel then take first left to go up the hill. Great restaurant at bottom of hill (Despina) we went there twice. Going up the hill you will find (Palio Kantouni) on the right, a bit further up is (The Hope) and next door a great bar called (BeeRaki). Those 3 restaurants are all in the top 6 for the whole of Elounda so definitely worth a visit. You might have to make reservations but a trip to BeeRaki is worth it just for the view and a cold beer. Boat Trips - as there were 9 of us we hired a boat from Elounda Boat Cruises for a few hours. This was great, definitely the highlight of our holiday. They will take you to nice coves and you can jump into the sea or swim up to the beach. If you are interested the boat is located right along the harbour to your right (20 minutes) or you can just email the owner. Overall a great location and very good value accommodation. More
