This place has a waterfront spot and a great little pool. Plus, Elounda’s bars and restaurants are a short walk away.
This family-run hotel is right on the water, with views of the sea and mountains. It’s got 1 pool and a bar to go with it. And everyone comes together for the weekly barbecue night.
All the rooms come with a balcony or a terrace, and most of them have sea views. It’s self-catered here, so guests often head to Elounda’s tavernas 5 minutes’ walk away. The beach is the same sort of distance.

The Best Holiday of our lives
Having had a really tough year a home, we decided to take our two teenage children (19 & 17 year olds) on a holiday. Thought it would be difficult to find somewhere to suit all of us. Our travel agent recommended Alikes Apartments in Elounda. We couldn't have asked for more. We were greeted by Olga and Mr. George who made us feel so welcome and at home. Apartment was small but spotless and location was perfect. During the day we took a short hike (about 30mins) over a hill to the most beautiful secluded sandy beach we had ever seen. There the children could hire a jet ski and we swam in crystal clear water. Most of the beaches closer were stoney, so this was worth the hike. In the evening we'd stroll along the harbour into the town where we had a vast choice of places to eat. (Mr George's other restaurant "Olio" was one of our favourites). We had great fun at "Bingo Nights" with big George where we quickly got to know the other guests. Poppi and Jenny at the bar were so lovely and helpful too. We hope to go back again and again. I had been to Crete several times but nowhere compared to Elounda.More

Amazing week away
Me and my partner have both just come home and I am already planning another trip there next year, the staff are very friendly and helpful and we are looking forward to seeing them all again soon. Very close to the town, 5 mins walk to the square. Food was lovely and great views out of our balcony and rooftops. Thanks again to Mr George, Olga and Jenny for making the stay amazing :-) Dan + Rochelle xxxMore
The location of these apartments and the wonderful staff made this a fantastic holiday, our first visit to Crete. Georges, Olg, Jenni and Popi work so hard and make you feel very welcome. The bbq night, bingo and music nights were all really good fun and encourage all the guests to get to know each other. Please try Mr George's restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Italian, Olio ( we went 3 times!) We went the first week of October. The pool is cold but great once you are in ( the sea was warmer). Stoney beaches around Elounda so wear footwear to help you get in. Definitely worth tge swim once you are in.More
Lovely Welcoming Apartment, Fantastic Staff.
Myself, my husband & 12 year old Son, stayed in a ground floor apartment, for a week in August 2016. It exceeded expectations and was perfect for what we needed. Elounda was beautiful and for us a perfect holiday location, the apartment was situated just of a little road right on the sea front with an abundance of fantastic restaurants on the doorstep. We actually booked a package holiday through Thomsons, which we donât usually do, and to be honest for this location we wouldnât do again. If we return to Alikes Apartments we will book our flight and transfers directly. For us, the transfers with Thomsonâs are a bit of a nightmare. There was plenty of waiting, queuing and we were the last to be dropped off from a long coach journey and then had to wait for a taxi to take us to the apartments, as the coach cannot get down the road. As we are used to just picking a car up from the airport and driving straight to the destination, this was quite annoying for us. Once we arrived we were greeted by the owner Mr George and Olga who briefly showed us around, as it was late night/early morning arrival, he showed us straight to our little Ground floor apartment and we went straight to bed. Waking up the next day and opening our doors onto our patio, sun shining and perfectly blue ocean right on our doorstep, any stress from the travelling instantly faded. The apartment was quite small and the kitchenette area was basic but for us this didnât matter as we spent very little time indoors and didnât really use the kitchen. Our patio was a decent size with table and chairs and led directly out to the front garden, where there were a number of sun loungers and stunning sea view. The bar and pool was just around the corner and the friendly, attentive staff were more than happy to bring over your morning coffee, lunch or bar drinks. It was so relaxing and stress free. At one point we had a problem with the shower, we informed the staff and the problem was fixed within a couple of hours. The apartments have a very sociable vibe, staff, guest and visitors do intermingle and we soon got to know everyone. Poppy, Jenny, Olga and big George were amazing, they made us feel so welcome and at home and couldnât do enough for you. Our son (12yrs) was always around chatting with staff or other guests, playing with the other kids or hanging around the bar and pool. My husband used to fish just outside the apartments and me and my son loved being able to just sit on the edge reading or having a dip and snorkelling. The bar area was well stocked, the food was good, the pool area was clean and had a swim up bar and there was also a gym. The staff also hosted BBQ & Bingo nights which were good, a great atmosphere and gave you chance to meet other guests and staff. Elounda itself is a beautiful, friendly town, that isn't too touristy an abundance of shops and excellent restaurants serving local dishes. There is a harbour and plenty of trips and two little trains that take you on trips around the area and up the mountain. We went on the red train I think, which was the longer trip and it was fantastic. The tour guide was brilliant and had a lot of local knowledge, we learnt a lot, saw wonderful sites and views, tried wild fruits and stopped off for lunch at a rural restaurant. We did jet skiing and the blow up raft off the main beach which was brilliant. We also hired a jeep in the town for a few days to do the trips we wanted to do, rather than going on the Thomson coaches. There are so many places that we want to see, that we have a family decree to never go to the same place twice, however I think after our stay at Alikes we might just have to break the rule! ðMore
