The family work really hard to make sure you have a great holiday especially nikos and kostos The cleaning issues really need to be addressed though in the rooms, floors dirty, sheets and towels all definitely need to be renewed More

The apartments are basic but have everything you would need and expect. If you ask for a quiet room you will be positioned on the back as we were and have a good night`s sleep. The beach is a short level walk away and nice and quiet. Christina is a delightful lady with good English. Plenty of very good family-run tavernas close by.More
First visited 12 years ago. Went back last year, pool.had been extended. Apartments basic but clean and staff couldn't be more helpful. Excellent breakfasts and snacks at poolbar Returned this year. Central position in village, shops and tavernas close.and convenient and short walk to beach. Easy short bus journey to Rethymnon. Will happily go back. Many visitors are returnees.More
Best holiday ever!
We have just come home from Crete and cannot wait to go back. Christina apartments are basic but functional. We had everything we needed. No problems with the shower or hot water. Nikos and Kostas cannot do enough for you and make you feel like family. We were welcomed by Chris at the bar and enjoyed complementary drinks on arrival. We went to the weekly BBQ and the food was great. Breakfasts were tasty and good value too. Everybody enjoyed the karaoke and Steph from behind the bar has an amazing voice. We loved our holiday in Crete and left the Christina apartments with warm hugs from Steph, Nikos and Kostas. Would definitely go back and cannot wait for 2017!More
Brilliant staff, great location,basic facilties
The staff couldn't be faulted - very friendly and helpful. Nikos provided me with a hand drawn map and advice on local walks to nearby villages. The location is good for getting to both sides of the island by car or taking trips. There's also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as well as being very close to the stunning beach. Be selective over where you swim as there are some rocky spots under the water and the waves are more ferocious than you'd think. We didn't use the hotel pool although it was beautifully lit at night and the bar was very reasonable and again, really friendly. The facilities are basic, you pay 10 euros for the safe and 4.50 per night for air conditioning, no hairdryer. Our room configuration was very odd. We had a one bedroomed apartment with no real sitting area. What we expected to be a living room/kitchen diner with maybe a bed settee was actually a large room with 2 single beds, a small window and the kitchen dining facilities. There was nowhere really to sit except on the balcony. The balcony was off the separate bedroom overlooking the pool and was a good size. Although the apartment could accommodate 4 people it wouldn't be very practical with children. The table had 4 dining chairs but the kettle and toaster were on the table with the microwave above it on the wall, because there was no work surface next to the cooker/sink area which were on the other side of the room, just outside the bedroom next to the bathroom. The wardrobe was next to the table so they could do with swapping the wardrobe and kitchen over. The bathroom looked like it had recently been done out and was very smart, but the showerhead needed replacing. The plumbing was very erratic, with variable pressure going down to no water at all for short periods (only a few minutes but a bit annoying mid-shower), and no hot water at times. Having said all that we really enjoyed ourselves there. It wasn't what we normally go for but for a late deal it was a lovely holiday, The staff and other guests were all lovely, the Greek night dancing and barbecue was great fun and good value at 13 euros each. I would stay there again if I was in that area but as there's only 2 of us maybe go for a studio apartment as the extra space wasn't any use to us for anything.More
