Nearly perfect but overall very good
We arrived at 10pm and were upgraded to an amazing villa with pool literally 10m from the beach free of charge. With 2 hungry children it was also music to our ears to hear that the hotel keep the restuarant open for late arrivals which is a really nice touch. The hotel is rightly a 5 star with superb standards throughout whether that be the choice of restuarants, quality of food and the little things in life like superb housekeeping, premium alcohol as standard etc. We took the premium all inclusive package which also included all meals, drinks (including soft drinks from mini bar as well) etc so really good value. Hotel staff are hard working, polite, smiley and eager to help. The hotels location is superb with a lovely security patrolled beach, beautiful sea thatbis genuinly warm and great facilities. Plenty of activities for the kids etc. The only minor moan of any sort is just the time it can take to get a drink or be served or seated in the main restaurant. As to be expected everyone wants to sit outside but catch it wrong and you could be queuing behind 30 people and waiting 20 minutes for a table. All tables are served by waiting staff so once seated you could then be waiting another 20 minutes for your cutlery and someone to take your drink order. Then yep you've guessed it another 20 mins for those drinks to arrive. We stayed 7 nights and 5 were excellent with regards to the restaurant but 2 were painful waiting around which was a shame but not the end of the world. Food quality is fantastic in comparison to other all inclusive hotels we have stayed at before - really top notch with lots if options at lunch and dinner. Nice touch are the semi formal dress code in the evening e.g. long trousers for guys - just stops people piling off the beach coming straight in and soaking everywhere. overall we would be happy to come back again. If they can just sort out the odd queue and waiting situation for evening dinner then the place is perfect to relax and enjoy a great hotel with great people in a great location. More

Below the expectations
I have been to this hotel in June to attend a conference...I've stayed in a room with a view to a pool (probably the cheapest type of room) and the faraway snow-covered mountains (that's nice!). What I did not like was the noise made by the water running from a pool to another, even during the night, fact that prevented me from sleeping with the balcony door open...the fact that the maid cleaned the room after 12.00 - only when I have insisted, I got it cleaned by the lunch time and the fact that the reception was always crowded. As signaled by other travelers, the water did not run out smoothly from the pipes, sometimes it came back. In the room I've stayed there are two faucets, one for cold water and the other for hot water, and the water pressure in those two pipes was variable - this is not nice at all, one can end up with hot water on you several seconds after entering the shower. Upon arrival, the luggage did not arrive to my room carried by a boy - as I was told, I had to go to take if from the reception. The same upon departure, I had to carry myself, though I was told that somebody will come to help me. Beach is full of stones and not sand - but this is something that cannot be fixed by the hotel people. Clean towels for the beach... Otherwise, whenever you have a problem, the stuff is supportive and they try to help you and to make you cool you down...cleanliness is also OK - in the entire building and all space around. Plenty of food - you can surely find something to enjoy, though sometimes it looks better than it taste... probably at the summer time the restaurant is almost always crowded. All in all, a decent stay, but it could have been much better...More

First trip to Greece
A little apprehensive about this hotel after reading the reviews. What a pleasant surprise. A very warm welcome however check in was a little confusing. We were given a complimentary drink and advised to have a seat to complete our check in details then someone would return to collect them. No one came back so we and several other guests rejoined the queue. This wasn't a big deal though, just a little hiccup at check in. We were so pleased to be offered a choice of two rooms and shown both. We decided on the quieter sea view room on the west side rather than the one overlooking the bar and entertainment area, however it also had a beautiful sea view. Our room was very quiet, immaculate and cleaned to a high standard daily. Air conditioning was quiet. Balcony a good size with large comfortable chairs. Safe is quite small and locked with a key, so you'll have to carry the key about or perhaps ask reception to look after it for you. A couple of English TV channels would have been nice instead of just the news. Food was nice but we wanted some variety so ate in two of the other restaurants as well. You are given 12 euros each towards your meal if you choose to eat at these restaurants, you need to book in advance. The decor is very nice, we stayed in a refurbished room so can't comment on the non refurbished ones. The carpets in the corridors are a little dated but not unpleasant. The VIP sun loungers were great. We paid the 20 Euros per day and it was worth it. A big thank you to Ian who manages this area for being very attentive and he was very friendly and polite. I would recommend staying at this hotel. If you are concerned about some of the reviews I can only suggest from my experience to book a sea view room. The airport is another review but if you have the opportunity to book the VIP lounge in advance or via you rep you'll be glad you did.More
Not 5 Star and Avoid the water sports at all cost
Just returned from an 11 night stay, let's start with the positives... the weather was glorious some of the bar staff couldn't do enough, Ian the concierge on the Beach was a gem and couldn't do enough for you and the food wasn't bad at all. I had some reservations about our stay after reading some of the previous reviews, I emailed the Hotel prior to our stay and asked to be given a half decent room. Well ours was supposed to be the best type on offer, true the view was amazing we had welcome wine etc but the room itself was basic, no storage no bath and was very small by no stretch of the imagination is this Hotel a 5 star.. The beach was beautiful and the restaurants were ok, food very much as you would expect from an all inclusive. We did however witness one of the worst things I've ever seen, paragliding was advertised all over the Beach, and we saw a lot of kids being swept off the Beach and hoisted up in the air for ten minutes the plonked back in the sea, I did think it was odd that there was only one guy on the boat as when I witnessed this sport previously there was one watching the rope and height etc and one steering the boat. There are various concrete piers along the beach and whist one group of three were being let down we all noticed how low they were and right before our eyes three kids slammed into the side of said pier and dragged over it, it was horrifying then to see an hysterical Mum running up the beach having witnessed it all was even more upsetting, the driver seemed oblivious until the alarm was raised.. The Company running the activity were awful to the parents and tried to carry on whilst they were arranging for medical staff to arrive thankfully some men on the beach put pay to that and they packed up. The kids were cut bruised and in shock could have been so much worse... PLEASE DONT LET YOUR KIDS ON THIS !!!!!!More
