We are a married couple in our early sixties and selected this hotel as a late deal to Corfu - an island which we have not visited before. We had not spent much time in researching this holiday and only booked the day prior to leaving. The resort is currently listed as a Trip advisor 4 star property and the reviews that we read seemed favourable. The name of the property gives a good indication of the type of holiday one could expect and it is located directly adjacent to a large water-park with an assortment of tubular slides and other water based attractions.Entry to the water-park is free to people staying at Equal and Village resort. The park is open from 11am until 5pm and there are plenty of sunloungers available in the Sun and in shaded areas of the grounds.Within the Aqual and village there is also a large pool with a wave making machine and another two leisure pools. We were given a large room with twin beds and a set of bunks. The room was well decorated and included a well appointed shower room, air conditioning, television and Veranda. The room was clean and well maintained though there was no maid service on The Sunday of the week we were there (this may be common practice in these parts) though plenty of toilet paper was left to cover the extra day! The hotel has a main buffet service restaurant, a snack bar adjacent to the pool complex, and a "bookable self service restaurant (no extra charge) near the wave pool. We were happy with the food provided at all of the restaurants and the service was always good. This resort is really geared to families with younger children and we would strongly recommend it for those who have young ones up to the age of 13 or so. The water park is great and suitable for families of all ages who like this type of recreation. There is evening entertainment -probably more suited to the young ones-and a number of bars, not all of which are 'all inclusive. There is a Spa,Gymnasium, poolside shop and mini-market. We did not find any thing of particular interest in the local area, though there is a regular bus service to Corfu town and local beaches and a free shuttle service runs from Aqualand village to these places too. We enjoyed our week at this resort hotel and although meal times at the main buffet felt a little too frantic for people of our age we were very impressed with the service we received everywhere in the complex. The staff are invariably friendly and helpful.Thank you.More
Great value for money!
Myself and partner stayed here for 11 nights! We really enjoyed it. Wasn't ever busy by the pool. Daily access to the water park. The reps were great when we went last year! We met a couple and family there from our home county who didn't appear as impressed by the resort. Appeared to be a slight issue with wasps, didn't bother us at all. Bus to Corfu town... beautiful! And also bus to a beach. These were free but you had to book the day before. There is also a public bus service, the stops are literally opposite the resort. There was a mini shop on the resort and another just across the road. If you take a short walk there was a kumquat shop selling preserves, sweets etc... We had a massage also which was relaxing and great value! Really enjoyed the stay. Food was great lot of choice, drinks were good with a selection of cocktails too. More
Our stay at Aqualand
Stayed here 26/6/17-6/7/17 as part of a group of 10. This is a mixed review but did have a really good holiday. On arrival one of our rooms was not ready which was abit of a pain after a early start travelling would of been nice to get unpacked and start enjoying our holiday straight away. The main restaurant was ok. We could always find something to eat but hardly any chicken dishes which I find strange. A lot of pork and fish dishes. We ate at the wave pool restaurant 3 times and that's really nice albeit boiling hot due to late sunset. Crepes were lovely. Soft drinks were a let down. No Coca Cola, Fanta etc was a local brand called Brizz and was never cold, no ice in drinks during the day. Beer was nice and refreshing though. And the first all inclusive when slush and frappe's were not included and were 2 euros each?! The main pool was pleasant but we sat around the wave pool mainly which was great fun. We didn't ever struggle getting sun loungers. The water park was excellent and enjoyed by all of us. Great being part of the package as you can just wander in and out when you feel like it which we did most days. Loads of slides to suit all ages with a good few hair raising ones! Take advantage of the free bus service the hotel runs to Glyfada beach and Corfu town. We went into town twice on the 4.45 bus and had a good look round and explore. Loads of history and little streets, churches, tavernas. Lovely place. The beach was fab, loads of water sports. Our group hired a speedboat and jet skis and we had a nice little lunch in a beach bar. Can't really comment on the evening entertainment as we didn't go up there much. Overall - had a very enjoyable holiday. It's a great place to stay for families. But due to the remote location and the fact that it was the last holiday with my teenage son for the foreseeable future I doubt we'll return to this hotel. But I'll definitely visit Corfu again :-) More

You get what you expect for the money you pay
So, i paid £650 for a weeks all inclusive holiday with flights and transfers. Did i expect a la carte fine dining and guest to wear dinner suits? No. Did i expect clean rooms with a bed and tv? Yes. Did i get exactly what i paid for? Yes. Food was excellent and what i would expect for the money, staff were superb, water park right next door to hotel was great fun and unlike other reviews no charges for sun beds and discounted food as we were with hotel, remembering the water park is a separate company. Pools were clean and exactly what you expect. Yes, some football shirts, drunk people and bad language but its their holiday too and just move somewhere different if you find it offensive, simple. So, if you moan a lot about the smallest most pointless things and expect the ritz for a few hundred pounds then i suggest you stay at home, if you are normal and want 32c most days free drink, good choice of food and a water park i cannot recommend highly enough, they even lay on free buses to the beach and corfu town everyday except Sunday ( which someone was moaning about) I found there were some stuck up people who thought they were better than the hotel and people they were with, and if thats you, go pay for Barbados, but like many people, Champagne taste beer money! Came here in the quiet season which was amazing. No queues and all of us got loungers next to each other. I imagine it would be different if it was peak season but for us it was perfect. Be careful on stepping stones I nearly got concussion slipping on them but the staff were very attentive and friendly would recommend for sure. More
