This place is in a really handy spot for the beach. And it comes with a big pool, too.
Backed by Mount Skopos and surrounded by green fields, these whitewashed studios are in a picturesque little spot. And better still, they’re just 5 minutes’ walk from Kalamaki’s beach and centre.
There’s a snack bar here, serving everything from cooked breakfasts to Greek specialities. And for evening meals, there are tavernas just a short walk away.

Stayed for a week from the 24th July as a 20's coupe. Cannot recommend enough. We had room 108 which was great, room had just been re decorated all very smart and modern. Bar and snack food is reasonable priced and really well cooked. 5 Minute walk to the tavernas ( Recommend olive tree ) 5 minutes the other direction is the beach. There is a horse and carriage trip that i recommend as you see another side of the resort that we had missed!!! Only thing we took from it that there was alot of children left to run wild, not a problem as we knew it was school holiday, but something we would definately consider again. Hotel gets 10/10More
Have just spent a week here with my husband and 12 yr old son and really enjoyed it. Hotel spotlessly clean all staff extremely friendly and helpful we had a slight crisis when my sons teddy which he has had for many years made an impromptu visit to the laundry with the sheets. The receptionist Gina went out of her way to ensure his safe return and the lady who cleaned our room had a big hug for my son when she delivered him back! We ate lunch by the pool every day good selection and very reasonably priced with great service by Helen. We ate in the hotel's Rock Salt restaurant 5 nights out of 7 food was delicious again very good value and we were very well looked after by Emma and Johnny who makes a great chocolatini! The hotel is well located in a quiet spot 5 minutes from the main strip and 5 minutes from a beautiful beach. This a great hotel for families and those looking for a relaxing break we would definitely recommend it More
Stayed at the Ionian from the 28th July to 4th Aug after getting a very last minute deal from thomson on arriving we was welcomed by a very nice lady on reception who explained to us clearly in good English everything we needed to know about the hotel and directed us to our room we stayed in a superior twin with large balcony (room 208) when we opened the door it was wow! Very modern and clean it had 2 very comfy single beds pushed together to make a double like everywhere does but I must say these are like premier inn matteress a good nights kip guarenteed! Good plump pillows too and there was a single bed/settee for our 6 year old son which he loved sleeping on that was behind a frosted glass sliding door that separated the rooms for a bit of privacy. There was 2 flat screen TVs with mainly Greek channels on the wall,a kettle and cups and saucers there was two dressing tables two double wardrobes with extra bedding inside. The bathroom was very clean a decent shower in a bath and plenty of towels. The balcony was lovley overlooking the pool with a table and chair set and a towel rail it got the sun at teatime. The room had a safe but didn't need to use it as the hotel is very secure and a family hotel in a quiet part of kalamaki it also had aircon which we did pay at 60 euro for a week which I thought was very expensive and to be fair didn't really need it in that room as its in the shade most of the day what the room really needed though was a fridge!! Just a little one to cool water and a few beers to sit on the balcony with while the missus is trying on 10 different tops to go out in ( you know what I'm talking about men) The pool is very clean and a good size plenty of sun beds and umbrellas and the odd palm tree to get under The kids games room had a pool table football table and airhocky The on site restaurant called rock and salt looked lovley but we didn't use because we like to eat out so can't really comment about that We stayed bed and breakfast which we enjoyed every day with a big variety on the menu The bar staff Helen in a morning and Jonny on a night are very nice people and make you feel welcome and both have big Greek smiles The bar prices were good 3 euro a pint and the snack menu was well priced and plenty to choose from they really need to get some captain Morgan's spiced rum behind the bar though! The location of the hotel is spot on 5 mins to beach 5 mins to the main strip easy accses for people with disabilities I would without doubt go back there BUT wouldn't be happy if it changed to half board as we like to support the Greek restaurants that do a fantastic job of welcoming you to there islands and cooking out of this world food Thank you Ionion blue for a lovely holiday 👍🏻More
amazing hotel, a little skint now though!!!
Wow!! beautiful & peaceful location, we had a amazing time. Myself, husband & son stayed here recently. We stayed on the top floor in room 405 for 2 weeks. The room was spacious, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a balcony over looking the pool. We stayed as room only and had to hire a fridge which cost 42 euro's for 2 weeks. We also hired the air con which was 120 euros and safe 37 euro, all these extras had to be paid up front in cash only, which is the only negative we can find regarding the hotel feeling this is a little pricey and unfair being cash only. The rooms and hotel was clean and tidy, and nicely decorated. The staff are always smiling, helpful and available to help if needed. The location is brilliant you are a few minutes walk from the main strip and the beach. The pool was great size and perfect for families, there are plenty of sun beds, you always get the people who are up first thing to put the towels out and disappear for the next 4 hours though!! The hotel has is own pool bar and restaurant, we used the bar mainly for drinks, a pint is 3 euros large bottle of water 1 euro, cans of fizzy pop 2 euros each, ice creams ranging from 2 - 3.50 euros the slushes are 3 euros. There is a game room next to the bar with pool table, table football and air hockey which the kids enjoyed the games range from 50 cent to 2 euros. There are loads of lovely restaurants we loved Escape, Iguana, Olive Tree, D&B restaurant & crazy golf. But we really enjoyed the Two brothers restaurant, the staff are lovely and really helpful, the food is reasonable priced and lovely. There gave us lots of advice regarding the local area, definitely worth a visit. We found generally food and drink everywhere really expensive, most drinks are 2 - 4 euros, and a meal range 7 to 12 euros all depending what you had. There are many cash machines around, I found I got better rate to the pound if I declined the cash machines rate and had a unguaranteed rate. The beach is beautiful and peaceful and it's lovely to see all the turtle nests, we went on 2 trips during our stay, we visited the Water park and Turtle island & Keri cave trip. We actually got to see turtles which I was really surprised! We booked via the tour operators on the main strip as they are more reasonable priced than Thompsons. Overall we loved our holiday, the hotel is fab, the location is beautiful, the staff are wonderful :)More
Best so far
Well we have room 405, top floor, bit noisy when next door start banging at 7:45am, nice room, the hotel is great, location spot on. Close enough to walk for meals out but far enough to be quiet. Get your towels out by 7:45 or you won't get a sun bed. My fiancée slipped on water on the marble stairs on the first day here and hurt her back (needs looking at back in the UK). Kids coming in from the pool area were responsible for the water. Receptionist was great as were all the staff. It's clean and a really nice place to stay. Highly recommended, only reason it didn't get a 4.5 is that it won't let me put 4.5.More
