Tranquil, flower-filled gardens and a peaceful spa set the tone at the Louros Beach Hotel & Spa.
This place is as pretty as a picture. It’s made up of whitewashed, terracotta-topped buildings, with wrought-iron balconies wrapped in flowers and vines. The gardens are freckled with rose bushes and topiary trees, too.
Kalamaki’s big, sandy beach is just a couple of minutes’ walk away, and there are bars and tavernas a little further on. Plus, Zante Town is within easy reach – just 10 minutes in a taxi.

Great location. Quiet at night but 15 minute walk to all amenities,
Have stayed here several times now. Friendly family run. Well priced and excellent buffet style breakfast. 10 mins [15 euro] taxi to/from airport. Clean spacious rooms. Beach bar 200 metres with excellent greek food and other types for all tastes. Only open until early evening. The beach walk into Laganas is very pleasant and takes 1 hour. A bus service runs both ways of course. Restaurants are 10 minutes away. Good pool bar with varied menu for salads and snacks/burgers etc. Generous portions. All in all very good. Not many facilities for younger children. [swing] Good pool but shallow end is 1 metre deep with steel ladders for entrance/exit. No steps. Live entertainment most nights around bar area. Finishes at midnight. Bar still open.More
Wedding holiday 2015
We stayed here in 2014 and again in 2015 for our wedding. It is a beautifully kept hotel with friendly staff. Plenty of sun beds around the pool and a lovely scenic garden to stroll around. The bar had entertainment most nights which we never attended but it always seemed popular. Louros is close to the beach and the main strip. The room for our wedding was gorgeous with a separate bedroom, living area and a large bathroom and balcony overlooking the garden. However, the room we stayed in the year before was on the small side but you don't go on holiday to stay in the room and both occasions the rooms were clean! The only thing we weren't keen on was the bar food but that's personal taste.More
Thoroughly enjoyed holiday
My husband and I spent a 14 night holiday in this hotel in September. The staff were very friendly and approachable especially Anna in the pool bar and Christina. Some people have commented on the breakfast but we found it to be a typical Greek meal with plenty to choose from. Saying that we were always down early when it was quieter. Our room was good with lovely views of the garden. We knew about the planes because we had stayed in Kalimaki before ( albeit at a different hotel) and quite enjoyed the plane spotting. The meals from the pool bar were reasonable and delicious especially the crispy bacon sandwich and chocolate ice cream. We enjoyed our holiday thoroughly and would recommend it to friendsMore
Good but could be much better!
Have recently returned from a 10 day stay at Louros Beach and although I agree with all good points in previous reviews, I also agree with all the bad points. We booked a double room which turned out to be two single beds pushed together but did not worry too much about that. The rooms were cleaned every day and the general cleanliness of the hotel was very good but the shower cubicle in our room was miniscule! Luckily we are slim people but cannot see how larger people would be able to shower in them. The aeroplane noise was quite loud, the planes passing our balcony so close you could practically shake hands with the pilot!! But being out all day and evening, this was not really a problem. The price for getting a key to the mini-fridge was 30 euros which we felt was extortionate and they also charged for Wi-Fi in rooms and to use the safe. Surely these things should be included in room price? Our biggest problem with this hotel was, as others have mentioned, the breakfast. It was meagre. I look forward to all the lovely fresh fruit when on holiday abroad and the only fruit on offer for the entire stay was tinned peaches! Despite there being a fresh fruit stall on the strip. Processed meats and cheese, runny baked beans and cheesy mini puffs do not constitute a breakfast. Would it be too much to have someone on duty to cook fresh eggs, omelettes, bacon etc.? Most days we would go to local beach bar for full English at a very reasonable 5 Euros.More

Just returned from 12 nights at Louros Beach, and really enjoyed our stay. Our room request had been noted and acted upon, including a late check-out being confirmed on our arrival. All the staff at this hotel were charming and very friendly. As others have stated, the breakfast offering is unimaginative - yet acceptable in my opinion. The bar serves a reasonable choice of snacks through the day - enough that we didn't venture elsewhere most days. The aircraft noise can be quite loud - I was a bit surprised to hear some flights arriving at 5.30am some days in October when there were gaps of up to an hour between flights later in the day, but it didn't spoil the holiday to any great extent. There is an extra charge for room safe, fridge and aircon (if required); all 3 cost us 11 Euros per day in total which I didn't mind - considering the cost of the holiday. Kalamaki itself is an unremarkable resort - mainly a single strip with bars/restaurants and shops, but there was enough choice of pIaces to eat and drink. Most restaurants had very similar menus, but for something completely different I'd recommend a visit to Essence - a bit away from the main strip, but well worth finding, for it's excellent food offering - more akin to fine dining than anywhere else in the resort.More
