The Ionis Art mixes style and location. You’ve got the strip on the doorstep and the beach two minutes’ walk away, while the hotel lines up art-filled interiors and themed bedrooms.
This place is right on Laganas’ strip, so you’ve got bars and clubs just steps away. The beach is only two minutes’ stroll away, too. And in a nod to the name, the hotel’s crammed with Greek and modern art.
Stylish bedrooms are done up in different themes, with extras like leopard-print linens and Chinese mirrors. They have iPod docks for in-room music, plus soundproofed windows so everything’s nice and peaceful.

Best rep ever !!
Me and a friend booked our holiday through Thomson which we always do. My friend had already stayed at this hotel the reason we returned was because she said the hotel was great. Which I agreed with after my stay, rooms were cleaned daily and staff were incredible especially Graeme and Anthia . The only thing Negative was the hotel had a strict policy of no food or drinks from outside the hotel bar were aloud round the pool. Which was frustrating as they charged more them the shop attached to the hotel. When we arrived we met Liz our rep who was waiting to greet us with a smile on her face and into the welcome meeting we went after the welcome meeting we booked a few trips and nights out with scene I'd recommend the full moon beach party and turtle island cruise(if you get Trevor on this cruise your so lucky he made it so much fun) . Liz was a superstar and I could tell she l loved her job and this came across she was positive respectful fun kind full of life , Liz daily checked on us checking we were good happy and safe, she was so approachable and welcoming listening to us discussing a few minor issue that occurred being so understanding with these reassuring us they'd be dealt with. Liz has been the best rep I have ever encountered so a massive thank you Liz for being awesome !!! More
I couldn't of had a better 2 weeks away!!! I arrived in mid July early morning we was welcomed by Adam the Rep who told us about all the scene events, he understood that we was all tired and wanting to get to bed so made it as quick and interesting as possible! Adam was one of 3 reps working in the hotel the others are Georgia and Liz and they all couldn't of done a better job of making my holiday anymore better! Their there for if you need them, have a laugh, booking events and they all got you involved with everything that was going on. Couldn't of felt any safer in this hotel with the security they are amazing any sign of trouble and their sorting it. The hotel it's self is a clean and very good hotel with lovely rooms and good views. It is also very close to the strip which is full of bars, clubs and restaurant's. All the staff are so friendly and lovely. Don't listen to the bad reviews about the hotel it's amazing and worth every single bit of money! Couldn't thank Adam, Georgia and Liz enough for making mine and my friends holiday any better!!More
Amazing Hen Week!
Arrived back from Ionis Art yesterday after spending a week in Laganas. When we arrived in Zante, the transfer from airport to the hotel was quick and took no longer than 15mins. However, on arrival (6am) we were greeted by Liz, although an enthusiastic and knowledgeable rep, we didn't enjoy an hour long welcome meeting before we were allowed to check in. Personally, I don't always attend welcome meetings unless I have specific questions or excursions I'd like to go on. As a group of 8, all we wanted to do was go to our rooms then get breakfast! In saying this, Liz did redeem herself when she provided my hen party with novelty items and we were given a VIP section on the Scene boat trip. The boat trip was €50 each, although fun, it was not worth the money. I suggest you sort your own events and excursions through reps at other bars and at independent agents. The hotel itself was stunning! It's on the strip, but set back, so you can relax and go to bed at a reasonable time if you're that type of person. The absolute positives of the hotel are the staff, especially Nicos and Angelos (Angel) the security guys. They couldn't do enough for everyone. As a group of 8 girls, we all agreed that we felt completely safe in the hotel. Some complained that the security made them be quiet too early, (if you're not, they'll kick you out until 8am) however, they knew when people went to bed, so they're only doing the best they can to ensure everyone has a good holiday. The receptionists and Caroline were also amazing... so much so, I was presented with a bottle of champagne and a little gift for being a bride to be. The rooms are comfortable and convenient. We were asked to pay a deposit of €30 each, which when discussed with, it turns out that if you just pay €30 it is a deposit in case of any damages. However, if you then ask for air con, safe and TV, your €30 turns into a hiring cost and you do not receive the €30 back. Other points to be aware of in the hotel are: no tea/coffee making facilities, for those who live on tea, although they are available from 1 of the 2 bars 24/7. Secondly, you are not allowed to take any form of drinks or food to the pool area (including water), as the hotel are still trying to make money. If caught, you're asked to bin or get rid of. Drinks around the pool vary between €2.50-€5. Breakfast is continental and absolutely fine for filling up on, best scrambled eggs I've ever had abroad. You can buy a full English for €6.50 or slightly cheaper on the strip. Nightlife doesn't really start until 2am and shuts around 5am apart from weekends. There's plenty to drink and all bars give offers, so Thomson events can't really compete when bars are selling all cocktails for €2 and shots for 50cent. The beach is beautiful and has a myriad of restaurants, as a group of 8 greedy people, we didn't spend more than €130 a night, including drinks. Our favourites were Mambo (we spent day and night there) and Tasos. Lastly, I would wholly recommend going on a turtle spotting trip (we did the submarine one). You spend a little while watching the stunning turtles and then get taken to two different areas to swim in the sea. Obviously it's a drinking and partying place, but it's not that wild you can't relax. (Even my mum who had turned up 2days later had a great time!) I'd honestly recommend Ionis Art and Laganas strip to anyone wanting a good time. More
First girls holiday!
Visited this hotel at the beginning of July with 8 friends. The hotel itself is simple but clean and has everything you need. When you arrive you pay 30 euro each for safe, fridge and air con, all of these worked well apart from the fridge wasn't the most powerful. The ladies on receptions are lovely, as are the security guards which make you feel safe and make sure everyone is quiet enough on the night time. You leave your key at reception when you go out, so you can't lose it and do not have to pay for a new one. You have to give your names when getting it back so random people can't get your key, but by the end of the week they know who you are anyways. The rooms come with a speaker which is great for pre drinks and the hotel aren't bothered about how loud you have this when getting ready, some could see this as a negative but we loved it. We were bed and breakfast and only went to breakfast once, it's just continental and I would recommend going somewhere on the strip for a 4 euro full English. Do not pay for the wifi it isn't very good and everywhere on the strip has free wifi anyways. The only thing which let the hotel down was the reps, as soon as you arrive you have to sit in a room with them as they tell you about the events, we had all our cases and clothes on which we travelled in which were uncomfortable in the heat. We did not buy the events and this meant the reps didn't bother with us at all during the holiday, we didn't mind but it's something to consider. The male rep in particular is was quite rude, on one night he came to our room to try and sell an event, we explained two of our friends had been in a and e so we weren't going out, his response was "so it doesn't mean you all have to stay in" and didn't bother to ask how they were. All they want to do is make money. We bought all our events from the box office across from the hotel - pure beach club is amazing and the champagne spray party was definitely the best event we went to, great atmosphere and cheap drinks. The white party was good too, but ended early due to a fight and we didn't get the free bar we were promised. On the strip the best places to go are rescues, cherry bay and wakiki! Avoid excite, fore play and revs they have a bad reputation on the strip for selling dodgy vodka. We also hired our own boat from a lady down just down from the hotel near the beach, this was one of the best days and it's so cheap! Overall, would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to everyone, definitely one of the nicer hotels on the strip with a great location.More
Just got back from an amazing 1 week holiday with 3 of my friends. As soon as we got there we were greeted by Liz and Georgia who were extremely welcoming, they sat us down and did our welcome meeting. We booked 5 events and all of them were amazing and so much fun. The hotel was gorgeous and very clean, all of the staff were extremely friendly and always checking you were happy with everything. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Unfortunately on the second day of my holiday I fell over and ended up in a cast for the rest of my time there. I still can't believe how amazing all of the staff and reps were throughout the whole thing, they got me straight to the medical centre as I wouldn't have a clue and they were constantly checking I was okay and if I needed anything. The reps Adam, Liz and G were so amazing with everything. Couldn't have asked for better reps or a better hotel. Would 100% recommend staying in this hotel while staying in Zante! More
