stayed here for a week in may 2017 with my mum & 3 year ild boy...not quite as it looks in the pics but room was spotless, could be doing with some modernisation but clean which was important. wifi was pretty poor too. food in the restaurant was ok - theres was always something to eat but only thing was it wasnt always the hottest... the staff were very nice - very friendly couldnt fault them. was very let down by the entertainment - the kids disco didnt start till 8.30/9pm - this is very late for kids entertainment & its only on for half an hour??? doesnt make sense to keep kids waiting so long, there is definitely room for improvement with the entertainment, was very amatuer but again the staff were pleasant. compared to other first choice holidays hich are aimed at families with kids this did let us down but to be fair the friends we made over there, clean rooms & weather made it a good holiday. i wouldnt go back but its not the worst place i have been.More
We stayed in the Planos Bay hotel in May 2016 and had a fantastic week holiday. We made amazing friends which we are still in touch with and visit on regular occasions. The water park is a short 5 minute walk from the hotel along a footpath and is great fun. We went as a family of 3 with a 10 year old daughter who absolutely loved this place. We felt safe and so did all the other guests. The snack bar serves food all day and is brilliant, especially for the kids who can just go over and order throughout the day instead of dining in the restaurant at lunchtime. The pool area was clean and safe and the animation team were fantastic and got us all involved in the games and entertainment. They made us feel part of one big family and we are still in touch with most of the team from Summer 2016. Tommy was our Favourite and was so full of energy every day and night. There was a kids club but our daughter chose not to go as she had so much fun in the waterpark most days. The evening meals weren't the best if i'm honest and we did choose to eat out on quite a few evenings. This didn't spoil it though and honestly i wouldn't let this put you off going. There is plenty to do inside and outside the hotel and is perfect for families.More
Best Holiday Ever!
Travelled for one week, all inclusive. The room was one of those that had not yet been refurbished but it was clean, the bathroom was modern and spacious and overall it had everything we needed as the point of our holiday was to experience the pool, the beach, the water park, some excursions, not the room all week! The staff were some of the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant offered plenty of food options, even enough to keep fussy kids satisfied. The pool area was great, with entertainment for the kids and plenty of loungers. The evening entertainment was good, with opportunity for people to mix or enjoy their own company. It was only a short walk into the main town which had plenty of bars and restaurants and there were several places open in which to book excursions. Definitely recommend the trip to smugglers cove, it was breathtaking. Hands down the best holiday I've had and I'm an ex travel agent and usually very hard to please.More
Lovely holiday ruined on last day
We stayed at this hotel from the 4th-11th September 16. Two adults and two children aged 3 and 6 months. Had a lovely flight in and arrived at the hotel around 9.30 pm. Receptionist greeted us and said they had kept the kitchen open to unable us to eat which was appreciated after travelling most the day. Room was very basic but clean and suited our needs. They had provided a cot for our baby as well. The food at the hotel was lovely all of us always managed to find something and enjoyed our food. Pools were a little shabby and needed updating but the water park next door was a massive bonus all inclusive was included here as well. Unfortunately we had rain for two days and this put a downside to the holiday a little because there was nothing to do. There was nothing provided for the children and it ment we were just sat in the room or hanging around reception with all the other guests. The entertainment team after 4 hours decided to play a game of poker with the adults. Not what you expect in a family hotel. To make things work they closed the kids club on the days it rained!! All in all we made the best of our holiday and would of rated the hotel a 3 star. Until the last day we decided to pay to keep our room as not getting picked up till 5pm and we have young children this was around 30 euros. For the week we had paid for a safe as we always do but on this last day as I didn't think anyone would come in our room till we had left at 5 I left my phone on charge to have battery for the flight. When we returned to the room at 4pm my phone had gone along with also 6 months worth of contraceptive pill. We hunted the room but of course it wasn't there. We dashed straight down and complained receptionist was awful rather rude aswell. She asked the cleaner who had apparently been in our room that day to just ' turn our beds down' who said she hadn't seen either the phone, charger, or the packet of contraceptives. We spoke to first choice Rep but as our coach was now here to take us to the airport we had to leave or risk missing our flight. First choice were fantastic since arriving and helped with all I needed for insurance claim. However as any parent would understand I didn't care about the money it was all the memory's and photos on the phone. I also learned since coming home that the contraceptive pill is very hard to get hold of There and I now no two other people this has happened to. This ruined our holiday and will not be returning. Please if you stay here be warned and get a safe. More
We are young group who went to visit Planos Bay Hotel for a week it was a great stay, the staff are lovely we had a few issues getting up most mornings so we asked reception to give us a call on some mornings and they did this without hesitation so that we could not miss our coach for excursions on various days It is a very modern hotel with lovely Marble decor we often came back to the hotel 2am in the mornings the area has a lot to offer lots of lively bars with karaoke and everyone is very freindly I would highly recommendMore
