As well as a massive pool each, these two hotels offer up a full-blown waterpark that’s chock-full of slides and chutes. They’re only a short walk to the beach, too.
Planos Bay Hotel and Aqua Bay Hotel are part of the SplashWorld elite, and sit either side of an awesome waterpark that lines up chutes and slides.
Both hotels have their own bar, restaurant and pools. Bedrooms are all bright and airy, too. And as for the beach, it’s less than 10 minutes’ walk away.

We had great fun, pools were clean quite often (not everyday) Staff were friendly, the cleaners were abit rude. Food options are the same such as pasta, chicken ect.. however was good. Would recommend.More
I'm not going to moan and go on but myself and partner with our 2 year old daughter stayed here for a week and has put me off ever going to Greece again. The hotel was a disgrace, dirty, dingy and the food they offer up was plan nasty so we ate out most nights. The pool was dirty so spent the majority of our stay at the beach at another hotel. The waterpark was decent however hence the 1 star and the people there were nice. The town it's self is like a shanty town and unfinished. Avoid this place like the plague.More
Just got back yesterday and I've got to say openly and honestly "My Worse Ever Holiday Experience" On arrival just handed key and pointed towards lift/staircase. When we found our room on 2nd floor 311 it was nothing like the pictures in the brochure, on the app and most definitely wasn't an hotel but apartments. These were very dated and basic standard wise. I couldn't believe it when I opened the fridge and the door came off in my hand! ð® Every where apart from the dinning hall seemed shabby and in need of repainting and repair. The pools looked dirty and unkempt, only once I saw a guy with a net going round the outside, in the 10 days that we stayed, so we avoided like the plague. Without sounding rude this place reminded me of Butlins early 2000, before the revamp. Entertainment...? Nothing during the day, my girls 9 and 14 were bored stiff. It rained more than it shinned and we were left sitting around the hotel reception (which is tiny) listening to people moaning (though rightly so, it was a sham). So depressing i actually went up to our apartment and cried. Receptionist with short blonde hair is very rude, should not be on the front desk at all! The Thomson reps on duty though polite I can only describe as useless (sorry to say and a let down) we were forbed off daily when we asked to be moved, so desperate the constant mentioning of Admin fee was still accepted by us, but no action taken, we were kept at Planos till the very end. Last few days of our stay we were given left overs and if that wasn't enough to put us guests off our food, the rodents (dead rats left laying around certainly was) I refused my last evening meal starving having taken one look of the dried out reheated offerings, a disgrace. During our stay we also took a wander over to where we thought we'd be staying 'Aqua Bay' as these are the pictures shown in the brochure and on the First Choice App and our fury was fumed even more as stunning, unlike shabby Planos Bay ðð The water park was our only pleasure during our stay, though the food from the snack bar was a bit hit and miss/limited considering All Inclusive. The theme nights was a welcome change from the same old same old back at Planos, my only complaint here being that the food was left uncovered and flys wasps helped themselves to a feast. We booked two and trips, one with the Thomson Rep to Olympia, we enjoyed it but very very expensive, costing us â¬230's plus an extra â¬24 each adult to get into the museum. Our reason for booking purely to get out of the hotel reception, 4 days stuck inside with no activities was just to much to bare. The beach to the left is a building site, appently same owner has bought the previous hotel and extending it, making it an Adult only complex ð lol My advise to him is, keep up with the updates cleanliness of Planos Bay before what you own becomes a portfolio of Shabby holes! ð Lastly never was there any mention of the town shutting during low season, barely anything was open, giving the whole area the atmosphere of a ghost town and again shabby. I feel sorry for anyone who has booked to stay here. I would never come back. I rate it 2 star and I'm not a snob. Ps look out for the dog mess if out and about. I have the pictures to prove it!More
super hotel ,most unexpected standards for greece
i,ll start with the pros of this holiday . a family party of 16 of us went here for a weeks stay on 12/9/16 ,having been to zante before tbh i wasn't expecting much and a couple of the reviews i read before going had made me wary .especially the one about thefts from the rooms . however we found this to be something that didn't need worrying about ,the rooms were excellent ,cleaned daily ,nothing was ever touched including some expensive camera equipment that could not be put in the safe . the restaurant was a dream decked out at every meal like a 5 star hotel ,the food choices were superb and we never once had to go out for a alternative meal something very rare when we have used other a/i hotels . the entertainment staff were all extremely hard working and friendly as were the bar and snack bar staff all in all a superb holiday experience t,here was only one problem that i will list below in the cons and it was minor . so to the cons the only niggle we had with the hotel was upon arrival at around 4 a.m we were just given our keys and pointed in the direction of our room ,being extremely tired we had to make about four circuits of the landings till we found it ,a printed map of the room layout per floor would be helpful please planos bay . next and this has totally nothing to do with the hotel ,we flew out on a sunday evening at 11pm so obviously had to be at manchester airport a few hours earlier which we were. imagine our disappointment then that once through security to find that virtually all the airport shops were closed for the night and there was only one rather expensive eatery open why oh why were we not alerted to this upon booking as some of the children were hungry by this time .and we could at least have taken sandwiches if we had known . next the return flight was a 5a.m pick up from the hotel no problem there but the booking in and luggage procedures at zante airport were disgusting we had to queue for a hour and a half to be checked in then had to go to the back of a equally long queue to put our luggage through total nightmare . all in all a very enjoyable holiday ,i would definitely visit this hotel again but not with night flights as part of itMore
