Good family holiday
Arrived at this hotel may 2nd 2017 and stayed for 14 nights. Family of 3 with 2 year old. Good points: the hotel it's self is very nice in a beautiful location and is spotlessly clean the beach is lovely Chrystal clear water with a very nice beach bar serving snacks throughout the day our room was nice maybe abit dated but very spacious 1 double bed and 2 singles, there were a few minor broken bits and pieces but no major issues that bothered us the food on the whole was very good the Greek and Italian were so nice with lots of different choices you can book a couple of times each and not get bored with in one week water park is good for either toddlers or older children or adults. then pretty much after that the hotel goes down hill.after the first few day of us getting there the hotel got so busy so if you wanted to use the main restaurant you have to cue out side to get in and then cue to get your food. the bar in the lobby at times took 15 minutes to get served and that is in low season. the pool and pool area is cramped there isn't enough space for everyone and they blast music out of the bar ( not that I don't like music you just can't realy talk to anyone if your any where near the bar) The kids mini disco was ok all the little ones seem to enjoy it there was no other entertainment for adults. The hotel is mainly for Germans and that doesn't bother me at all but the german companies clearly sell the hotel for older people and they make it very clear they don't like kids, we witnessed one german man push a 12 year old girl in the pool. where as Thomson clearly sell it as a family hotel as they do a deal that kids go free. there was clearly some good deals going on as on the second week there was one or 2 families there that definitely looked like they won the holiday at the jeremy Kyle Christmas party. To be fair we had a lovely time on holiday in kos I just don't think I could recommend this hotel but we did get a good deal so can't complain! More
Lovely clean friendly
5 adults and two children visited for 11nights from 2nd may. Rooms were clean and hotel was lovely. All four restaurants had lovely food and the hotel is set right on the beach and a minute from the water park. Only downside are pools that aren't heated but staff and reps very friendly and helpful. A large group of us stayed here from 2nd May for a week, the hotel was clean and tidy. The beach was nice too, we had a few problems the water was coming out yellow so we couldn't shower properly when reported to reception we were told to run the water for 20 mins as they had been shut for 6 months ( Bearing in mind this happened on and off all week ) !! Also we had no entertainment 5 out of the 7 nights we were there, when asked about this we all kept getting told it will be tomorrow.I was told that we wasn't getting any as it didn't start until the end of May !! They did end up doing a bingo night in which you had to pay 3 euro for 1 ticket and it lasted so long it was ridiculous. The children had a pool table to play on which was 3 euros in which they set a timer for half an hour ! There was 1 life guard at the water park which resulted in some of the slides being shut as he couldn't watch them all.Food was repedative and cats around your feet at the dinner table. Also ther is NO SWIM UP BAR as advertised they have taken it away. I feel that the hotel was just not ready for us from start to finish.More
A wonderful family holiday!
We stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of May 2016 and were immediately impressed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and grounds. We stayed in a really nice family room facing the sea at the back of the resort near the Splash Park and it was lovely. The food was excellent with many themed nights at the main buffet but our favourite was the Greek restaurant. You need to book in advance but it's worth it. We travelled with our 4 and 7 year old daughters and they both really enjoyed the Kids Club which gave us some much needed time to relax by the pool! This was our second visit to an Atlantica hotel having stayed at one in Crete the year before, and we were very impressed again. It's only a short fifteen minute trip from the Airport as well so it really is the perfect location if you have young children that aren't keen on long coach journeys! We enjoyed the experience so much that we have booked into the sister hotel next door in just under two weeks time so here's hoping we enjoy the Porto Bello Royal as much as we did the Porto Bello Beach!More

First good points, lovely clean hotel, lovely polite staff, lovely food always plenty of choice, lovely beach. Bad points pool freezing no life guard on either by the pool or on the beach and the pool is pretty deep for kids. Obviously we watched our children but it only takes a second if u take ur eye off them. Kids club during the day not great mine thought they was too big to do colouring at a table all day they said it's more for toddlers. Nothing else other then the pool for the kids in the day except 1 ping pong table at beach bar and 1 pool table near reception that costs â¬3.50 for half an hour. They did a kids mini disco at the amphitheater every night but there's no bar there u had to take a drink with u. Only other evening entertainment the full week was a Greek performance but it said on the poster it was at the beach bar but they changed it to the lobby bar but didn't inform anybody so we didn't get to see that and the last night they did karaoke but there wasn't many songs to choose from. Spoke to Thomson rep about the entertainment needing to be better he said it's due to low season but in my opinion the hotel was full so they should of put on a lot more. Didn't use the water park as the pool was freezing in the hotel so with the water park being more on a hill we thought it would of been even colder. Would not return feel it's more for older couples More
