June 2016 - 12 days We arrived at the hotel around 5am after being delayed and when we arrived there was only one man working! Luckily, he did a talk to all of us about key things we needed to know and then checked us all in quickly! They had also put water and made sandwiches and left them in our fridge because we are delayed! Normally, they have a bell boy but as we were delayed he was not there! We were directed to our room, which took us about 20 minutes to find! Most of the rooms are numbered, but we were room 258 and there was no sign so if your numbered 242-261 there's no sign! Just head to the nearest number to yours and you'll find it! The rooms are lovely, quite modern, comfy beds and a huge shower! There's a safe in the room too, we had to pay â¬35 for 12 days and it's not refundable. First day, we over slept and missed the welcome meeting but we spoke to Lynn, who was lovely and she told us everything we needed to know! Most of which we managed to work out ourselves prior as the hotel is clearly laid out and you are giving information when you land and get on your transfer coach! We went to the pool, which is beautiful! Salt water so didn't go under much but really refreshing! There were no sunbeds as we'd slept in till 11 but there's a man who walked around picking up the cups and keeping the pool clean and he brought us two! Most days we got up around 9/9:30 and there were still sunbeds free! The pool was always clean, the ashtrays regularly cleaned out and cups taken quickly! There were so many burnt people here, the weather is deceiving as there's a lovely breeze but it was so easy to get burnt so be careful! The beach is lovely late afternoon, we headed down about 4 for a nap on the beach! We loved the beach bar, very chilled down there and the bar staff were lovely; especially Danny! She was always friendly and happy and remembers your drinks! Lobby bar we sat at a couple of times but the queue for a drink was about 10 minutes each time, not too bad but we preferred the beach bar and the staff. This hotel is in a direct flight path but it didn't bother us at all! We loved looking at the planes but also you don't notice them after a couple of days! The hotel does not supply bottles of water but they can fill them up! So we brought 2 on our first day and got them filled up every evening, apparently it's the hotels way of giving back to their environment! The food I found quite repetitive in the main restaurant, but there was always something I'd eat! My partner reckons the ice cream he's ever had on holiday! We loved the Italian restaurant, lovely starters and the pasta/risotto we had for our mains were one of our favourite meals. The Greek restaurant was really nice too, they had some things that I hadn't eaten before but they also had the standard foods of chips and pasta. We loved a lady in the lobby restaurant, (she was the operations manager) she always seated us and knew we loved to sit outside but would always check as some days it was too hot! If we wanted something (food wise) we would ask her and most the time she would be able to allocate it for us either from out the back or a different restaurant. We took a couple of trips to Karmadena in the evening which we enjoyed! One night we went for for a bit of a dance and got some food from burger box right by the taxi rank.. One of the best burgers I've ever tasted!! They did loads of daily activities like ping pong, aqua gym, water polo, dance class, Zumba, football etc. so if you want to be able to do things like that, then theirs a good variety. Beach/pool towels you can hire for 10 euro each, which is a deposit, we didn't bother though. We booked late check out prior to arrival at the hotel and when we asked about it they said that we may have to move rooms on the day, which we had too which was a bit of a pain! So it meant we packed up the day before we left and had to move rooms at 10am and had a new room till 6pm! Overall, we loved this holiday and would recommend it to families and couples. There is lots to do but also if you just want to chill there's lots of opportunities for that too! Improvements: No full length mirror in room - I know that sounds picky but for a girl it's also such a pain having to climb on the bed to look at your outfit. People taking sunbeds and not using them! Grrr, everyday there were so many beds reserved and no one used them! More
Came here in October for a nice relaxing break. The place was spotless, tidy, well stocked and every member of staff we spoke to was very friendly. There was a wide range of food and drink to chose from all day and I cannot complain about a single thing (apart from I had to leave!!). I have been around a few of the Greek islands, including Kos previously, and this was by far the best hotel I have been in. It was pristine, yet very comfortable and welcoming (something you sometimes don't get with a 5* hotel). Will be back in Oct 2017!!!!!!More
Me and my boyfriend stayed here in September 2016. We got to the hotel at around 8.30 pm and they told us to leave our suitcases in the reception and go and get some food. When we came out from having our food our suitcases had been taken to our room already which was lovely. It was a little difficult to find our room at first because they're seperated into different builidings, however once we had found it we weren't dissapointed. It was lovely, clean and tidy. We had a sea view room and it was amazing. The food was great, a bit repetative but it wasn't a problem for us as we dined in the seperate Greek restuarant and the Italian, which you have to book the day before. The pool is a salt water one but it's still lovely. We spent most of our time on the beach, as the sea was lovely and you had access to lots of different watersports, cannoing and peadalos were free if you go all inclusive and I think jet ski's were 50 euros. In the evenings we spent it in the beach bar, with the lovely bar maid and man. There is music playing down there and sometimes live music which is great. If you go all Inclusive there is a waterpark behind the hotel which takes about 1 minute to walk to and you can visit here for free. It was great for half a day! We have just booked our next holiday and we were seriously considering coming back to this hotel. Would definitley recommend this hotel.More
Good Hotel with Water Park & Excellent Beach.
As locations go, the Atlantica Porto Bello Beach is ideally situated on the Island. We landed at 12.20, grabbed our bags, hailed a taxi and checked into the hotel by 12.45. Perfect. Arrivals don't get much better than that !! The hotel being fairly close to the Airport means that you are on the flight path into the island, however our youngest with his fascination of aircraft, was delighted by this fact. Even during peak season, the frequency of planes arriving was not a problem. Check-in was prompt, however the provision of a porter to guide you to your room was lacking.... and we faced the usual battle of lugging cases up a few flights of stairs. No lifts in this part of the complex !!. Having booked a family room, at a considerable cost, the room lacked a certain wow factor. Definitely in need of an update, and far from luxurious. I would have expected more than a couple of put-up-beds, which were adequate for children, but would not have been suitable for adults. The hotel being all inclusive, provided a good variety of food and drink, and the main restaurant was well laid out, with attentive staff, and despite being busy was never too overcrowded. Special mention to Nikos, one of the chefs, who always had a cheery greeting, and a smile on his face. Bar Service in the foyer bar, was a bit hit and miss, and during peak time the queue for drinks could stretch back a way. Picnic boxes were available from the restaurant if you planned a day out of the resort, or at meal times if you wished to take food back to the pool (Particularly useful when your children are having far to much time to traipse up to the restaurant to eat !!) The pool and grounds were average, and we preferred to spend most of our time on the amazing beach, which was fairly clean, with plenty of sunbeds available. A perfect environment for the children. The sea being crystal clear was ideal for snorkelling, with an assortment of fish, which the children found enjoyed being fed with madeira cake !!!!. The beach bar was great for drinks and snacks (Madeira cake for the fish !!), and service was pretty prompt, although getting ice in your drinks, was very much at the discretion of the bar staff, as they would often neglect this unless reminded. Perhaps a little game they play to get you to engage with them, and break up the monotony of their day. The kids very much enjoyed the milkshakes. Simply pick from a selection of ice-cream, and the bar staff would transform into a shake. Burgers, hot dogs and toasties were served up at lunch-time, however this would involve queuing as all food was freshly prepared. The small harbour was home to a water sports centre, with free to use Pedalos, Kayaks & Canoes, along with chargeable speed boat rides, paragliding, crazy sofa rides etc. All good fun, and never overly busy. The Aquatica waterpark outside of the hotel, was free to use for hotel guests, and what a bonus. A good selection of slides for all ages. Hotel guests were allowed fast track access to the waterpark, avoiding the early morning queue to get in. Food and Drink at the water park is not part of the all inclusive offering, so was an extra charge, but not excessively so. The staff in the snack bar were always friendly, and Fred always had a smile on his face. The walkways to the rides were fiercely hot during the heat of the day, so take a pair of sandals or flip-flops with you. The staff were a little protective of the inflatables for using on the slides, and despite their being an abundance in one area, they would not let you take them to other parts of the park. The evening entertainment was hosted in an outside amphitheatre at the front of the hotel; but we preferred the lobby bar, or the beach bar, where you could sit sipping a cocktail watch the sun go down, perfect !! All in all a good family resort, however rooms in need of a modern upgrade to justify the cost of staying there.More

When is a family room not? ?
Firstly this is a lovely hotel and had a very good week. Grounds lovely beach is soft sand and directly at the end of the hotel. Food was good. The Al Cart was well worth having. All said we would definitely recommend and visit again. And all staff were hard working polite. Good employees. Now our gripe. WE booked a family room but was fobbed of with a room that consisted of 2 twin beds and bunk beds stuck next to it. When you have 2 teenagers it's not good and the reps response was that is what you get in Greece. So make sure you get a family room not a room with bunk beds.More
