You can’t get away from the water here – there’s a private beach and pools that go on forever.
The Sensimar Palazzo del Mare has an outstanding pool scene, with a duo of huge pools meandering around pretty gardens. It also comes with a private sandy beach, and it's 20 minutes on foot from the centre of Marmaris.
The buffet hosts regular themed nights, while the à la carte specialises in Mediterranean cuisine. Entertainment-wise, it’s all about the live music. And there are lots of extra touches like free Wi-Fi and flatscreen TVs.

Lay Back & Relax
Stayed for a week at the beginning of October with my husband. What a perfect holiday we had. We had opted for a swim up room and were allocated room 110 which is at the quieter side of the hotel. You do feel slightly detached from everything but actually we loved the peace and quiet and the fact that we had almost a private pool. We did use the loungers at the main pool on one occasion but did prefer where our room was. Our room was spacious, with a safe and a mini bar and plenty of storage space. The rooms are kept very clean but are slightly dated, however I did not see inside any other room. A large bottle of water is also delivered to your room every day which was a nice touch. The hotel is immaculate as were the gardens, these lead down to a private area of beach with plenty of sun loungers and waiter service for snacks and drinks. Food was lovely, with plenty of choice. We especially enjoyed the breakfast with the home made omelettes. Yes, drinks are slightly expensive but that was no surprise as this was a 5 star hotel. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you, they go out of their way to make the holiday special for every guest. The small town of Mamari is about a ten minute walk away, with a few bars and restaurants. There are a couple of supermarkets which were very reasonable. We used a company based in Marmari called Tigaki Tours to book day trips, very good value and well run, half the price of Thomsons excursions for the same thing. They will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. We also hired a quad bike from Always the Best, located next door to Tigaki Tours and also run out of the hotel. This was good fun, we visited Zia and the Embros Therme as well as some remote areas of Kos. We couldn't fault this holiday and definitely hope to return next year.More
Beware the swim up room
Staff / service was very good and hotel public / bars areas was good. Our issue was we paid a premium for a swim up room based upon the images on Thomson website but got a room to the side of the hotel with inferior views and no sun terrace to speak of or loungers if you pay the premium get it confirmed that you will be next to the main swimming pool and not at the side of the complex More
Perfect chill-out holiday !
We had an 11 night stay at the beginning of October and were pleasantly surprised as the Thomson pictures don't really do it justice. The weather was excellent although some nights turned a bit cool so a light cardigan or jumper would be useful at this time of year. We had a swim up room on the main pool which was quite private and quiet, with its own table, chairs and sunloungers. The variety and quality of the buffet food was excellent, and the a la carte also had a good menu and a taster night. The beach facilities were great too, with a lovely massage facility and drinks service. Neither the pool area or beach were busy with plenty of beds always available. Drinks are expensive as others say, but when you take the whole holiday into account it's good value overall - and you can always walk to the local supermarket and stock up with cheaper beer and wine if you can tear yourself away from the facilities on offer ! The bar areas are lovely but there was little entertainment after dinner to keep people there. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and we are already planning to return next year.More
Wonderful relaxing holiday
If you want a relaxing holiday then would recommend this hotel and location. Food excellent and not the usual ' canteen ' style buffet. If you want the sun during the day in late season go for a swim up room numbered 200 plus . Staff service levels are excellent and would definitely return. Local tavernas only 10 min walk away if you want some lunch outside the pool bar . Drinks a bit expensive but the exchange rate is as much to blame ! More
Recently enjoyed our honeymoon at the Palazzo 2nd week in october, we arrived to sparkling wine and our luggage taken to our room, we had booked a swim up but were pleasently suprised when we put the card in the door to open it it was infact a private pool room! Very lovely and kind of the staff to go to that effort to allow us a free upgrad, there was champagne and a lovely note from the team. Will deffo be back was fantastic, the food and cocktails were amazing! More
