This hotel counts a peaceful garden setting and a sea-view pool area among its selling points.
This beachfront hotel has a secluded feel, thanks to the 60 acres of gardens that wrap around it. It’s not cut off, though – Kos Town is just a 5-minute drive away.
This place is tailored for couples. Days can be spent relaxing by the hotel’s two pools. You can dine by candlelight in the à la carte restaurant. And the spa has a special list of treatments for two.

We are returning!
My partner and I visited the oceanis beach resort in June of last year. We enjoyed it so much we will be returning in June again this year! It's pretty quiet and is definitely focused around couples which is great for us. It's not the place to go if you want to party, but at the grand age of 25 & 30 we are a little past our party days, so it was perfect for us! The hotel staff are polite and friendly, rooms were regularly cleaned and the staff often made cute animal shapes with the fresh towels and left fresh fruit in the room and petals on the bed which was a nice touch. The breakfast on offer is a large selection, although some days we were a little lazy and didn't get into the dining area until just before breakfast time, there was always something available. Lunch was decent, although the days we managed to make breakfast we didn't really eat much for lunch. Dinner was pretty good, but I must say that the a la carte restaurant at the resort is fab! We especially loved the strawberry butter to go with the bread rolls and the pork was amazing! You get one free visit to the a la carte and only need to pay for the wine (unless you have the house wine which is free). We also loved the Greco bars crepes - you've probably noticed we like food! Haha... Kos town is a nice place, the ruins and castle are worth a wander! Kos marina has come pretty impressive yachts and some of the boat trips (especially the theee islands cruise on the Santa maria) are a lovely day out with some beautiful views. I'm really looking forward to returning to oceanis this year.More

Wedding and a return for our Honeymoon
Because Trip Advisor wonât allow 2 reviews at the same time I will be covering my 2 visits for 2016 into one. Usually we visit last week of July and first week of August when the season is in full swing both with heat and guests. This year we booked a week from end of May into June and back again for 2 weeks in September. Itâs actually very nice to try different months so you get to see the hotel and island before high season and after high season. That said itâs also cheaper to lol. May 2016 What can I say without screaming about the pure delight of a great stay. We had planned from the previous year to get married here on June 1st. We have stopped at the hotel for the past 4 years and have fallen in love with the island, the staff and the management who make your stay so special. Why would we go anywhere else. We met up with the hotel group representatives and the NEC Birmingham Wedding exhibition. They talked us through what we needed to do to marry in Greece, the paperwork both from England and from Kos. The costs of the different packages and how they could tailored our wedding to suit our needs. Having both been married previously the paperwork from England was a stressful time. So please plan ahead and ask lots of questions. We dealt directly with the hotel management who I have to say went above and beyond and made you feel so special. The day its self was so special every detail taken care of by Patty (General Manager) and her team. Her eye for details was unbelievable and how she managed to keep smiling all the way through is fantastic. Just like a swan, legs going like mad under the water while she glides along delivering everything and more for us. The ceremony by the beach was perfect, the gazebo decorated in our colour scheme we had chosen. Patty officiated and put us at ease. The day before she had taken time to sit with us and explain what would happen on the day and answer any questions we may have. Any stress and worries we had melted away. Collected from our rooms by decorated buggy, Achmet drove us to the Gazebo beeping the horn in true Greek tradition.(I arrived first while I awaited my bride). The service went smoothly and perfect. Pattys choice of words still ring in our ears and said all the things we wanted to say to each other. Remember to have your photographer as part of the package. You do get lost in the moment and they are so professional that you hardly notice that they are there snapping away. You do get a choice of which photos for your album and we also went for the DVD with all the photos taken. You pay direct to the photographer the following day when they show you the photos. Your friends and family can still take photos as well. One of our friends took their camcorder and what a lovely surprise it was to be able to watch it back. The staff at the Spar have to be mentioned for how they looked after my wife and guests on the morning before the wedding. They did a lovely job with my wifeâs hair and make up (not that she needed it I must say before I get a slap from her lol). Also the staff at the A la Carte (thank you Spiros) where we had our wedding meal and the fantastic cake. The table was decorated lovely and the food perfect. The room on return was decorated by the team with rose petals, swans, fruit, drinks etc. You do get your room upgraded and we had a pool room which was soo lovely that on our return for our anniversary we are going for the same again. September We had originally booked to go end of July but due to my wife needing to attend hospital ( it was a planned op in England) we moved the dates to September. The weather was still hot and nice but we did have a couple of cloudy days and a fantastic lightening display over Turkey one evening. By moving our dates allowed us to meet up with a number of friends we have spoken with on FB and Trip advisor who always seem to be there at different times. We also met up with new ones too who we have kept in touch with to. I put a review on here a couple of years ago and I have to say it gets better every year. The food has plenty of choice and in sections where you can easily find something for every dietary need. If you canât find something just ask the man himself Antonis. A man who always finds time for everyone. At times he does get busy but that smile and that nod he gives you lets you know heâs seen you and will catch you later (and he does). Heâs always a font of knowledge and happy to advise you or recommend what to see and do or places to visit. He will even teach you how to speak Greek to. A true gentleman and customer service at its best. Roland who works with him again a true gent in the same mould, a cheeky chap who always remembers what you are drinking. You get themed nights too , Greek night is my favourite. Also the sweets are sooo moreish. I always have two, you just canât help it.A special mention to Fotini who is always on hand to see if everything is ok and ensuring you are enjoying your time. The hotel itself is laid out well plenty of space to relax and chill. Three bars keep you hydrated or you can pop to the shop on site to replenish your fluids if need be. Christos runs a tight ship usually found in the reception area bar but will make guest appearances in the others to ensure everything is ok and not running dry lol. A talented artist with some of his paintings on view around the hotel reception. Im sure he gets younger every year we visit as he never ages. Must be the Greek food and weather ( or the olive oil, Feta and Ouzo ) that keeps him so young looking. The bar nearest the beach and block three is run by Miltos and occasionally Luigi makes an appearance. Two great young men who make a wicked Mojito (not part of the AI) which I donât mind paying for. But look for the offers on his cocktails too, every night you will find one on offer. Film night at this bar is lovely but not sure about the choice of films sometimes. Mama Mia and My Life in Ruins in previous years was great as they actually have something about Greek in them. But Love Actually, Expendables and James Bond in previous yearâs not really Greek themed lol. But that said a great evening with popcorn and drinks. We spent many an evening at this bar which is quieter and got so engrossed with our friends and drinks we didnât see the shutters go down on the bar ( Just Like Kiosk Keith out of Iâm a celebrityâ¦. Although Miltos is a celebrity) There are two pools. The large one which is near to the beach and has different things (low key) going on during the day. Ie aerobics, water polo etc. Jelle Pyra, one of the Thomson reps gets you in the mood and is a real live wire without being in your face. He will get you following the leader⦠You also have the shop and a bar nearby. This is where you have most of the evening entertainment by the resident singer Yizzy. Great voice and lovely personality. She does try to please all tastes in music but with a large hotel you will not please everyone all the time. But my advice is go and speak to her and ask. Not sure if she is at the Oceanis or next year yet hope so. The shop nearby as mentioned sells most things you will need and prices are reasonable to. Get your bus tickets and stamps for postcards here too. Close by is the Spa. You can get a free tour (usually with a glass of bubbles in the evening too) the staff here are again lovely and look after you. If you donât want a treatment then do as I do get a day pass for 20 Euros and come and go all day. Zerva and the team will look after you. There is a small Gym for those who need to burn off that great Greek food and drink. On the front you have the small pool which is near block 3 and is quiet and secluded and a bit of a sun trap. New beds have been added which offer more comfort and shade. Next to the pool you have the Café Greco run by the beautiful Persefoni. Open all day for lovely toasties, creps, ice cream beer and soft drinks. Coffees and teas too. You pick up the golf clubs and balls for the crazy golf here which is next to it on the front grounds. You also have two flood lit tennis courts and a new outdoor fitness area for exercise and work outs.(Fit ness area is under shade). The reception area is spacious and inviting and you are welcomed with a smile from Themis and Achmet. Any problems and speak to them and they will try and resolve your issues or queries. You do get low key entertainment in the reception some nights with a pianist playing. Also you have a casino night adjacent which is fun (no you donât spend money they give you free chips). Some evenings a photographer is present to get your couples snaps which you can buy the next morning. A lovely memento to take home. Sunbeds are everywhere but beware if you reserve yours before 10 am and are not on it, your towels etc will be removed. The beach area is shingle and pebble. Itâs advisable to wear beach shoes to get in the sea but once 10 feet out its fine. (You can buy these in the shop for about 11 Euros if needed). There were no water sports here this year as they have moved up the coasts , that said you can get them at the hotel next door payable there. There is a beach area which has a volley ball court and the Cocktail bar next door which you pay them for drinks as itâs not on the AI. The rooms are spacious the beds comfy, the shower is huge and yes there is no door on this area. However you do have a door on the shower and on the loo.Yes you may get the odd niggle with the room (nothing major I may had) but just let reception know and the team will sort it where possible. You get water every day, wine and a few drinks in the fridge too. Thanks must also go to the house keeping team. We look forward to the towel art on the bed every day too. I hope I have covered everything and apologise to those who I have not mentioned who make this hotel fantastic and guests time there relaxing. Try the Ala Carte where Spiros will look after you. Makes a lovely romantic time to enjoy each others company, This all would not be possible without the General Manager âMiss Pattyâ whoâs high standards and eye for detail runs through her team. She is always to be seen around the hotel speaking with guests and holds a âmeet the teamâ evening once a week. Please visit and show your appreciation to the hard working team who makes your holiday so special. You will be introduced to the team and given information about the sustainable and healthy produce they produce on their own farms.(take some of their own wine and olive oil home its lush). Finally get out and about. There are lots of things to see and do on the island on or off it. We have been going for five years now and always find something new. Its a great hotel.More

Great hotel in not so great location
For me, Sensimar Oceanis Beach was the first experience of this type of "all inclusive" hotel. But I have been to a cruise ship earlier, so the feeling was a bit like "a cruise ship that does not move". We got an ordinary double room with sea view - well, quite a little of sea view, but it was ok. I had been a little afraid about the food, but it was really very, very tasty, and there were so many choices at all meals that quite often I even didn't bother to LOOK at everything that was on offer. The main pool area was noisy, and I don't think that I ever saw an empty chair over there, but there was another, much nicer and quieter pool just behind the building where we lived. The garden area was very nice too with lots of sunbeds and the beach bar. On the other hand, we liked to enjoy the pre-dinner drinks near the main pool area with the views on the pool and the sea. All in all, the hotel grounds are very nice. In mid-September the sea was just perfect, we went to swim in the sea before breakfast every morning. One thing that I did not like was the location of the hotel, in the middle of almost nothing. Before our trip I somehow thought that there was a promenade along the beach where you could walk to the Kos town - yes, there is a promenade, but it ends well before this hotel. Of course, you don't have this problem if you go to the town by bus (the bus-stop is just in front of the hotel) or by taxi, but I had planned to walk more. If I will ever return to Kos (might well happen), then I will choose a hotel on the other side of the town where there are nice roads for walking and cycling.More
