You’re within walking distance of Faliraki’s town centre and beach here – and back at base you’ve got a full-blown waterpark and a massive pool.
It’s no surprise this place has bagged a TripAdvisor certificate of excellence – not only has it got its own waterpark, but there’s also a huge pool, 2 restaurants, and a jam-packed entertainment line-up.
When it comes to location, the Sun Palace is on to a winner. Faliraki’s sandy beach is only 10 minutes’ stroll away, and it’s the same to the town’s bars and restaurants.

the hotel really do cater for disabled people, my mum is disabled they gave us a lower ground floor with walk in shower, all round the complex is suitable for whealchair access. Even the water park, and the beaches are just a 5 min walk away. all in all we had a great time, my son went with 3 kids and his gf they loved every min too we all stayed the same week, the food is better at the water park but im not fussy so enjoyed the food in the restuarant too plenty to do for everyone. The animation team are brill too nothing is to much for them,so to anyone thats going have a good time.More
Great Hotel , Excellent Value For Money
Traveling as a family of 4 , 2 young children , one aged 3 and one aged 16 months, holidayed 06/06 – 17/06 Firstly this is Greece not LA , if you want a 5 star plus holiday then pay the money for it, I have read reviews on here about this hotel before our holiday and since when we got back and for the life of me I don’t understand some of the complaints and views from some people they must be writing about the wrong hotel ??? Hotel Fairly big complex, main building with reception, games room with arcade machines for the teens , 6 pool tables (arcades and pool obviously additional charges) 4 additional blocks at the rear of the complex, 3 additional blocks at the front , Everywhere was clean and presented well the only time this slipped was when residents mainly the English made a mess and didn’t clean up after themselves. Location suited us , right at the end of the strip coming out of Faliraki , 10 min walk down to bar street for night life , plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance, good clean gardens, fenced astro football pitch 5 a side size, children’s outside play area. Beach 10 minute walk from the hotel , great size , clean and tidy , to be fair only ventured down to the beach for 1 morning so cannot comment much. Pools Good size , main pool and a children’s pool at the forefront of the hotel lobby area, both clean and tidy , again only messed by English residents ( I am English myself by the way) which let things down a little, I don’t understand why adults decide to plonk themselves by a kiddies pool lighting up cigarettes/ getting wasted , using foul language when there are plenty of other loungers to sit at, very rude in my opinion it’s not like the kids can decide to move beds and their location (again English). Lots of sun loungers with parasols probably the most I have seen , I have struggled in the past to get a bed with a parasol on other holidays but didn’t here. Food No complaints here as far as I am concerned , plenty of variety , didn’t get bored of the food while we were there , the snack bar does have the same food daily but didn’t have a problem with that, the pizzas made fresh in the waterpark were some of the best I have tasted , they would give pizza hut a run for their money LOL , I have stayed in a lot of all inclusive hotels over the years and must say this is the first hotel where you can get food all day from breakfast to 11:30pm ish I think , I really don’t know what people expect from this hotel ? if you go in for food and fill your plates with everything on offer everyday then you will get sick of the food, some people were pilling their plates high with food like it was going to run out (again English) safe to say we all had no tummy issues while we visited , our children did not suffer with any such problems tummy or toilet wise and the staff in the restaurant’s were more than helpful , the manager was always walking around and in sight to approach if you needed anything or any complaints. Seating area is either inside or outside, did not encounter and problems with birds or cats while eating outside. They do offer an al a carte restaurant , while this was a nice change to be served as opposed to buffet it was far from al a carte, nice enough though. Bars main bar by the main pool, one at the back of the complex and one in the water park , bar staff very friendly always served with a smile, beer and spirits non branded but you get what you pay for and to be honest didnt have a problem with the alcohol or soft drinks Waterpark Excellent park, located at the back of the hotel 2 minute walk from the main pool , plenty for the kids , towels are provided so you don’t need to drag these down with you , good sized seating area to get out the sun for food and beverages , I must also add the life guards here were spot on , really good , always on top of things if people were doing things they shouldn’t, they were also very friendly. 9 slides (height restricted 1.2 mtrs, lazy river and wave pool, there is a kiddies water pool with slides water jets and a bucket wash which they will enjoy. Room Did what it supposed to , decent size , tv in room (limited English channels obviously) , fridge, aircon, decent size bathroom, soap and shower gel is already in the bathroom so that will help on your luggage weight, balcony with table and chairs, you don’t live in these rooms so they are more than adequate and cleaned daily, cleaners also very friendly. Other Check with the man in the lobby reference car hire, we had a good deal for the day for a hire car £25 euro, it was only a small car but got us around , roads are a bit hit and miss , island is bigger than expected , Lindos was a nice drive out and Rhodes old town worth a visit. Overall had a great time, I have been to Greece a few times but last visit was over 15 years ago, first visit to Rhodes , fantastic destination, weather was mega hot, I would 100% recommend this for families with children / teens as the water park alone will keep them occupied for the duration of your stay , for the older person who wants a quieter time by the pool this may not be for you , it is however in my opinion excellent value for money. Already consider going back next year and we have only been back 2 days. even the owner was present most night we were there keeping and eye on things which I thought was nice, animation team did a good job, don't expect Elton john or Tina Turner ,these guys do the best they can and do it well If you need any further info , drop me a message and I will help where I can.More

Good but not perfect
Ok myself and family which was 3 kids and 5 adults came here on sat 10 June 2017, I will give a honest review based on my experience here First impression Awful, seriously I honestly thought I had made a huge mistake coming here, to be fair we had a long day and arrived around 9.30pm so probably a little ratty, however that said we walked into reception and it was so noisy, we were given room 109 which was a nice clean room but may as well been in the middle of the stage, not a quiet room foe 2 kids and we went to get some food from the snack bar, the only one open at this time and the food on offer I wouldn't of fed to my dog, seriously who wants Brussel sprouts with cat food looking meat and burnt chips just before bed, First day was very different, woke up to glorious weather, a good breakfast and lovely scenery so my advice to anyone is don't always judge a book by its cover Ok I will try and carry on with my review in sections WATERPARK Nothing to say other then excellent, you are offered clean towels, plenty of lifeguards, loads of slides, a wave pool and a good size last river, and a great kids play area, seriously what's not to like, it is easy accessible not on a hill like I have read on other reviews and clean and tidy, been to plenty of hotels with water parks and will stick my neck on the line and say this is the best one yet Rooms I personally think they were a good size, they were clean and tidy with good air con, nice size balcony and a mini fridge to put your drinks in etc, bathroom has a good shower or bath if you would prefer, if you have kids I would strongly advise you get rooms as close to the water park as you can as the water park closes at 6pm and is nice and quiet till 10am the next morning, unlike the disaster of a location we got, I will add we asked to move but had to wait 3 days so never bothered as we wanted to un pack and not live out of a suitcase FOOD for me this was disappointing, everyone raves about the pizzas, I didn't think they were special at first but as the week went on I had it more and more, why??? Because the rest of the food was seriously hit and miss, the Chinese night they done to be fair was awesome and you will find a plate of food but the quality I'm afraid was poor, deserts were good but the ice cream was terrible, it had a horrible powder texture to it, so spent quite a bit on ice creams that week in the shop POOLS good size, clean and perfect for a dip in the warm sun or play with the kids, no issues with the pool Location We done a trip with thompsons on a bay to bay which I would recommend, you have a nice boat trip with 3 or 4 swim stops and a 3 hour break on a quiet secluded bay with a bbq lunch, super day, we also booked a trip through sofias opposite the hotel to Lindos again by boat, this was also a great day at a fraction of the price, there is a reason she gets great reviews on trip advisor, she also does day trips to Turkey for 30e rather then the £70 thompsons want so would defiantly see what she can offer, she knocked a bit off for is too and was great with the kids ANIMATION this is gonna be argued but I have to be honest and say I didn't think they were that good, with the exception of lemar who in my opinion works tiresly the others just were not up to scratch, other hotels I have stayed they come and talk to you and get to know you, this bunch just go around shouting what the next activity is, i also thought their shoes in the evening were not up to scratch, comedy night wasn't funny at all, half the crowd left and even one of the animators said it was awful, however 3 nights they had outside entertainers come in who I thought were very good, I have seen a lot better ANIMATION teams in other hotels STAFF Bar staff work tiresly, in the evening they are always happy work without a break and always happy to help, reception couldn't offer us a immediate room change however the little dealing we had were always polite, life guards were good, cleaners work hard however we had some money go missing on a few days, not lots 4 or 5 euros here and there, we put 2 euros on the side on our 6th day to see what happened and sure enough the cleaner took it, it was reported to our rep who said someone will speak with is , I'm still waiting for that chat, so I would advice to put all money in the safe no matter how small I side not to the animation, in case any one is wondering why we never moved rooms if it was that noisy, the entertainment stopped at 11pm or there abouts and became a lot quieter after this time, my kids were up till this time so not a huge issue however if you have younger kids it will be a issue trust me all in all a good hotel but have stayed at much better for the money, the splash park makes this hotel no doubt about itMore
Brilliant family holiday
The sun palace in faliraki proved to be our best family holiday yet. We stayed here for 2 weeks and from the minute we turned up at the hotel everybody we met who worked there was super friendly and ready to help in anyway they can. We upgraded to a family room as there is 5 of us (2 adults, 11, 4 and a 1year old) the room was perfect with bunk beds and even a spare if required as youngest was in a cot provided by the hotel which was clean and looked almost new. About the room it was super clean and the cleaners came in every day and did a superb job. That been said the whole complex was clean and no matter what time of day you was about there was always a cleaner about keeping it spotless. The food was good and you could always make a meal from what was available even the fussy eaters. The biggest surprise for us was the availability of food after previous holidays almost anytime of the day there is food available from the restaurant opening in the morning. The snack bar at the water park food is good and as mentioned on numerous occasions the pizza is fantastic. May I also add that if you ever can't make breakfast the water park as croissants and other breakfast snacks available for the 1st hour or so. The a la carte restaurant is ok but not brilliant worth a trip to for the table service though. The pools are all good and clean and the water park was brilliant with towels provided for you there. as it's only a hotel water park it never seemed to busy so you never had to wait to go on any. Now for the animation/entertainment team. What a brilliant team the hotel have special mentions here to Lamar and Paige. Paige who was fantastic with our 4 year old who really took a shine to her and cried all the way to the airport after leaving. A couple of other things of how good all the staff in the hotel are from the barman to the restaurant staff and the maintenance staff (a couple of problems with the room only minor but dealt with so fast) My only negative really is that the children's play area could do with a bit of upgrade. Also regarding the hotel it's location is brilliant very close to faliraki and not to far from Rhodes. Also I would highly recommend something different restaurant if anyone does want to eat outside the hotel it's only 2/3 mins walk from the hotel entrance and it was some of the best food I've ever eaten More
We went to this hotel in June 2017. We had a brilliant week at this hotel. The food was brilliant, in particular the amazing fresh pizzas. The food had plenty of variety and even had themed nights. Staff across the hotel from the cleaning team, to the hotel reception, to the dining hall staff to the animation team reps were all brilliant, friendly and welcoming. The animation team were amazing with the entertainment during the day and evenings and some of them were multi-lingual. This predominantly a family orientated hotel, however, there is plenty for people to do across all ages (we were a younger party group and the reps took us out in town and suggested places to explore in Rhodes). The atmosphere at this hotel is brilliant, exciting yet there is allow plenty of time to relax. The compund has a busier and lively main pool area and then a quieter pool also which was very pretty. The hotel manager in particular was really helpful and nice and all staff clearly had a lot of respect and kind words to say about him, he seemed very efficient. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is brilliant. Walkable to Faliraki centre and you can go via bus to Rhodes for 2 euros. 5 minute walk to the beach with brilliant boat trips available to book. The water park was a key highlight and we spent most of our week there, it even has its own lovely snack bar with fresh pizzas made! There were lots of families with children of all ages having a lovely time and the hotel felt very safe and friendly.More
