This hotel is in a secluded spot between beach and mountains – no wonder Johnny and June Cash used to live here.
This luxe hotel was once an 18th-century sugar plantation. It’s right on the beach, just 20-minutes’ drive from Montego Bay. One of the buildings here was Johnny Cash’s holiday home for 30 years.
The site may be old, but the amenities are state-of-the-art – you’ve got a championship golf course and a themed waterpark. Then there’s the à la carte Italian with an outdoor terrace.

Very Good Holiday
Stayed for 14 nights over Easter, we were checked in immediately on arrival and did not have to wait. We are a family of four who had a quad room which comprised of two large double beds. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a large T.V. fridge and safety deposit box. There were a few niggles as we had to request, on five separate occasions, towels after they had serviced the room. The food in the Fresh restaurant was fine with plenty to choose from. I especially enjoyed the stir fry which was cooked fresh for you, and the omelettes at breakfast were very popular with the chef not stopping from the moment breakfast started. We tried the three 'A LA Carte' restaurants which you book at the side of reception. The Seaside Grill is a nice setting for an evening meal but the food was cold. Luna Di Mare was better however we had to wait for 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive and 30 minutes between first and second course, we did not bother with dessert. The Three palms is a nice restaurant and is worth a visit. During the second week there was a teachers conference at the Hotel which was fine however there is a sign at the entrance to Fresh stating 'Please wait to be seated' which the majority of teachers ignored!! this created a few problems for the persons showing people to their tables as the teachers just sat down where they wanted. It was a pity they couldn't be informed at the beginning of their conference that when they eat in Fresh they wait to be seated like all holiday makers, or have an area cordoned off for them! The Water park is great fun and the beaches are looked after with them being continually swept and raked. There are enough sun beds so there is no need to reserve unless you want your favourite spot every day. There are plenty of Cabanas which cost $100 by the pool and $130 on the beach. There is a chicken Jerk hut on the beach and a coffee/smoothie bar. The staff are excellent and really do make your stay very pleasant. I would recommend this Hotel and I am sure you will have a great time.More
Spoilt for a week!
We came here with the intention of just relaxing, eating and drinking, and all objectives were met to an excellent standard. The food in all aspects (buffet, snacks, formal) was excellent and the staff cannot be faulted for the service they provided. If you want all inclusive pampering and indulgence this resort cannot be recommended enough.More

The size of the room was too small. Everything else was fine. Great food and service and decent entertainment. Kids area was great and the excursions arranged well. Beds and pillow comfy, Batgroom good and facilities are excellent More
I just got back from a 7 night/8 day stay at this resort. The resort is breathtaking and beautiful. The staff was friendly, welcoming, & great. The food is good along with the entertainment. The downside to the resort are the rooms. Their small and outdated. They can benefit from retouching. The repair work needed is noticeable. We had to change rooms during our stay. The 2nd room had its own set of issues. The guests in the room next to me also shared that they had to request a room change. The hotel staff is accommodating but the bigger issue are the rooms need to be remodeled or repaired. There were too many "little things" that amounted to big things. The comforters had little stains; the bathroom fixtures were old, cracking & questionable; the refrigerator was not restocked daily (unless requested); the paint in the room & bathroom seemed to be chipped or cracking in different places; every time someone walked you heard it as if they were knocking on the room doors; the network in the room only worked some of the time on the TV; etc. If you are not big on how your room is, the resort is cool. For the cost, you should expect more though.More
Great family holiday
Just back from a 7 night stay. Hotel very nice and welcoming. Great water park and beach front and entertainment good too. Book a high floor room on east or west block for quiet as we had to move from main block due to overnight sound system. Food in a la carte is so so... always a tad Luke warm. Also don't book interconnecting rooms too as very noisy on last night. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend . Breakfasts and evening special nights really great .More
