We arrived after a long flight from Birmingham first impressions were very good, speedy check in because I joined IHG. On line before we left I was upgraded free to a larger room and premium drinks( international brands). Room was huge with two king size beds loads of wardrobe space, fridge, tv, hair drier we over looked the ocean ( beautiful) the resort was huge and we made good use of the facilities well stocked gym, we went snorkelling kayaking pedals, the adult area had no entertainment around the pool we spent most of our time at the main pool or beach the sunbathing island was a novelty we couldn't be bothered to get wet that early in the morning to get a bed on there, food was to a high standard very American orientated the jerk hut was fantastic. Cocktails were good, very friendly attentive staff, we did leave the resort daily to go for a walk never felt threatened go and enjoyMore

I use to really love this place!
Every year that I've been in Jamaica, I've ALWAYS stayed here at Holiday Inn Sunspree, Montego Bay (well over 5 years). I'm actually here now with 2 days left. This is the first time I've stay here and have been disappointed. The food is not great at all. The rooms REALLY need to bee UPDATED (fresh paint job, caulking and a few other amenities). Now the staff, ALWAYS awesome, welcoming and make me want to come back. BUT I'm sooooo very sad to say, I will NOT stay here again....and please know, I'm soooo sad because alllll the years I've come to the island I've ONLY STAYED at Holiday Inn Sunspree, Montego Bay. Such a great location on the island, great piece of real estate but a FEW updates are SERIOUSLY NEEDED....well more then a few. More

Wonderful Family Resort for Everyone
If you are looking for a major chain massive all-inclusive resort this is not it. If you are looking for miles of sandy secluded beach than find somewhere else to stay. This is a tops family resort meant for everyone and so much more than those other places. Beaches consist of small inlets and are extremely protected with shallow, non-wavy waters perfect for those with young children or people who just want to wade in the water. There is a private island that is very fun to walk or swim to and some casual snorkeling opportunities. The pool is perfect for children and those young at heart and the recreational activities are super fun. There are lots of relaxed sporting activities like shuffle board, mini golf, tennis, games, and water sports. The food is fantastic - do not listen to what others say about 'limited buffet options'. There are tons of options for food - from international style foods to authentic Jamaican delicacies and lots of options for children and the outdoor Burger Bar and Jerk Hut are great options too. The staff is very friendly and extremely attentive. This truly is a non-pretentious, welcoming resort with joyous animated spots and quiet nooks and crannies - so, if you're looking for something else - than don't stay here. But we will be back!More
A true gem
After reading reviews on here, after we'd booked, we went with no expectations. However, upon arriving we were personally blown away. It's a lovely open resort, they work hard on maintaining the grounds, the gardens and beaches are kept incredibly well. The sand is soft and shallow, water is perfect for snorkeling, not so much swimming, but perfect to cool off in. The views are stunning, and Tek It Easy Island is a lovely touch to the property. We had Housekeeping every day, The complimentary shampoo and soap were always refilled, towels changed and beds made each day. The staff are a credit to the hotel, all so welcoming and helpful. We had a mishap of my daughter leaving her phone somewhere in the buffet, as we were looking around in a panic, someone pulled me aside and said a phone was just taken to the front desk, so off the husband popped, lo and behold it was safe and sound, no problems at all. You don't have to tip, but the staff are so lovely you just can't help it. The barefoot bar & grill near the main pool is fantastic, drinks are brilliant, kids can ask for a "virgin" daiquiri, and help themselves to water and soft drinks. The food is good, we didn't actually get to try the restaurants, the food in the buffet was perfectly adequate for us and different each night, with a few staples there every day. Our room was perfect for the 3 of us, 2 large double beds, with incredible pillows, so comfortable. The bathroom was a bit smaller than I'd imagined, but for 1 at a time it does the job fine. Air-conditioning worked perfectly too. We were in building 4 and it was lovely and quiet, only the sounds of the sea, trees, tree frogs and occasional traffic. There was entertainment each night, and what we saw of it, we enjoyed, the dance offs are especially fun. We personally really loved our stay here, and cannot wait to go back. It may be in the low budget end, but for my family it was perfect, couldn't have wished for a better holiday. More

great spot -
PREMO family destination. They have kids programs for all ages - - place for teens to hang out - things for younger kids to do. I felt very comfortable letting my teenage son have run of property - - took him there a couple times years ago and he still is in contact with a couple kids he met there. Great multi cultural experience for him. They have a family pool and an adult pool - which they strongly adhere to (thank God) - - Staff is very VERY friendly - - Beautiful beach - - a very large property. More
