This adults-only hotel leads its debut with a prime beach position and four à la carte restaurants.
Soft white sand comes to your doorstep at this beachfront hotel. There’s a relaxed vibe to the place, though it’s just 10 minutes’ drive from Montego Bay and its line-up of shops, restaurants and nightlife.
The hotel sits next door to the Riu Montego Bay and, as such, you can move between the two for bars and restaurants. When it comes to the huge pool, though, you’ll probably want to stay put.

does what it says on the tin
Lovely hotel, great service (without having to flash the cash!) Make sure you get a room with at least a courtyard view, its worth the cost of the upgrade or else your view will be off the Riu Montego Bay Hotel's restaurant (next door) and the main road. Staff take a huge pride in the property and are always cleaning even in the rain. Food was great, ate in the a la carte steakhouse 1 night, but felt that the buffet was just as good if not better. Cocktails varied as to where you ordered them. Not so good at swim up pool, but were great at Aqua bar and lobby bar. Only 1 negative, and not really hotel to blame, is it's proximity to the airport. It is literally under the take off flight path and planes seem to use the hotel as a guide as to where to change course - right overhead!! Saying that, as transfer time is only 10 - 15 mins from the airport was pretty obvious would get some aircraft noise from either take off or landing. BUT don't be put off this lovely hotel.More

We came here with our adult children. 22 yrs and 19 yrs. We got 2 rooms, a little pricey but there was no way the 4 of us could get 1 room. This was the first time we stayed at a Riu, it was suggested to me by a co-worker. We stayed at a Riu palace which was adults only, the family one was next door, which was a short walk. That was were the water activities were but we found enough to do on our side. The food was great, we ate at the Italian restaurant one night but we all liked the buffet so much that we ended up canceling the other reservations that we made. There were 3 pools, 2 with swim up bars. It was right on the ocean. Had a gym and a 24 hour bar with snacks. Activities during the day and music at night. The best part was the service. I cannot say enough about how amazing all the employees were. They were genuinely nice people who really seemed to enjoy their jobs. Because of this we have recommended the Riu to others and have just booked another vacation for just my husband and I at the Riu in the Bahamas.More
Top-Notch Resort - no disappointments!
Just returned home from Riu Palace. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were gorgeous, the food spectacular, the beach was clean & beautiful. The Jamaicans could not be any friendlier. We have been going to Jamaica since the '80's. The island has changed, the resorts have changed, but the Jamaican people remain the friendliest I have found on any island. This resort was clean, the staff cleaned everything 24/7. If you could not find food that you liked here, then you are really a very picky eater. I gained 5 pounds, just being there for 7 days. There are 4 restaurants, plus the buffet. We ate at all but one of the restaurants, we skipped the Japanese one. All food was fresh & delicious. The bar tending staff was great. You always had a drink in your hand no matter where you were. Paul from the Aqua Bar was our Man! We did not take any excursions or even get to snorkel as this vacation was mostly for relaxation. We did have a couples massage on the beach. As for the planes flying overhead, after the first day you are used to it. It's not a big deal. We also did not visit the 2 sister hotels next door as the Palace provided entertainment each night. No need to go anywhere for music or dancing. A big plus is that is is so close to the airport, no long ride to get there! I would say the only negative thing was not being able to smoke on the beach or balcony. New law in Jamaica prevents smoking anywhere in the resort except for 2 designated very small areas, one on the beach, and one in the front of the resort. If you don't smoke you have no worries.More
Just book it!!
We've been home 2 days and I'm saddddd! I searched trip advisor before booking and I'm so glad I chose this hotel! This place is faultless. Literally amazing. I couldn't ask for anymore. The place is immaculate. You are so so well looked after. The staff. Cannot do enough for you. The food is delicious in Buffett and restaurants. Happy people, cooks sing to you whilst preparing your omelettes ect, great touch! Staff appreciate a tip but service doesn't alter depending on this which I loved. Plenty of sun loungers on both the beach and the 3 swimming pools! Good quality drinks. They are so clean they even cleaned crumbs from our table during dinner!! Yes you do see planes fly over but only a few a day and you heard it for about 20 seconds? Really no issue. We did 6 excursions during our 2 weeks- loved getting to see more of the island... go out and explore if you can. Entertainment staff were also great! The steel band is a must see. I'm 21 so I was one of the youngest.. older customers mainly but no problem. Can go to neighbouring hotels if you wish although we preferred chilling at the palace. If you're not sure on where to stay- this is the one. Worth every penny. We stayed in room 0052, garden view, nice room but will say not if you want a early night as can hear aqua bar, but was no issue for us we loved how close to everything we was. You won't be disappointed!More
This was our first time in Jamaica and looking at the other Rui hotels either side of this one I can say we were pleased we picked the right one . The hotel was really lovely and extremely clean . Someone seemed to be cleaning all the time . The rooms were of a high standard very much like the Rui in Mexico was . The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times . Being a fussy eater I can say I never went hungry and that the food also was of a very good standard in the buffet with plenty of choice for everyone . We did visit the Italian which we found was not as good as the buffet in fact we didn't stay for the whole meal . we also went to the steak restaurant and again found that not up to the standard of the buffet As we were on a 14 night stay we was more than happy with the service and the food in the buffet and went in there the rest of the holiday . The hotel was good in the fact that it was an adult only hotel and customers from the other two Rui couldn't enter the hotel but if you chose to you could go there for all the night life etc . We did have a couple of nights when there was a loud party of people signing and playing music early in the morning but that didn't last too long . All in all a wonderful peaceful relaxing holiday in a stunning place with lovely people . More
