Back For The Beach
My husband and I spent 2 Beach days at BP from Sun Palace. We used the public bus transportation, costing 10 1/2 peso or a dollar per person each way. Easily found chairs in front of the pool overlooking the beach and wonderful ocean. High winds caused rough waters but were still relaxing to watch. To our pleasure, at lunch we were greeted by familiar servers from past visits. Ernesto who had introduced us to a refreshing "after lunch" drink called Carajillo 43 and Jose Carlos who was sure our wine glass was full. The lunch buffet consists of a large variety of hot and cold dishes along with the opportunity to have fresh grilled meat or fish. Leave room for dessert, a choice of fruits, pastries, or my favorite ice cream. Enjoyed the rest of the afternoon on the beach where there is plenty of room to spread apart. Before returning to Sun Palace, we walked down to the large shopping mall which could be a 1/2 days event if you like shopping!More
Great friendly and personable staff
The staff is what made our experience outstanding (Krystall, Fabiola, Andres). Beach is beautiful and it was the right size resort to provide personal attention. Our kids absolutely loved the Play Place and we were nervous about it, but they kept wanting to go back.More
My Dream Wedding at Beach Palace Resort in January (Long review but worth the read)
My wedding was January 26th at the Beach Palace resort. I chose this time of year because it is an off season for weddings & travel, and the weather was perfect. Let me start off by saying I LOVE every aspect of this place. I am a type A, super controlling person and let me just say working with the staff at Palace super exceeded my expectation. My pre-wedding liaison was Angie she was amazing she literally responded to all 300 emails. Living in the states I was worried something was not going to get done because of the distance but nope every email I sent Angie responded to right away there wasn't a time that she left me hanging, and that made me want to work with them more. She provided me with the information for the vendors available to use. Angie was awesome and I was so grateful for her patience when working with me. I used Encore for my DJ and lets just say the dance floor was never empty. Daniel was the bomb, he was like me ready to party and was very easy to work with. My package came with lighting and so when my MC introduced us to our guest our family and friends went wild it was perfect with the music and the lights, it was everything I imagined and more; you would've thought we were celebrities, We used Carmen for our photo booth, this was a blast it gave guest the opportunity to have fun with different costumes and they were able to print out as many photo booth cards as they wanted. Carmen also provided me with a USB of all the photos from the booth, which was perfect for me as the bride because I was able to print them for my photo album. My on sight wedding coordinator was Carlos. I LOOOOOOVE love love love Carlos, He is soft spoken but when he speak the people move. He knew exactly what was needed and he made sure any request was made was handled at that moment. Carlos took care of us from the moment we arrived to the resort until the last song was played at the reception. When we checked in the resort he met us downstairs to greet us, Carlos made sure we had a smooth check in. I wanted maracas for my welcome bags and I asked Carlos where I could get them, Carlos went over to the mall found a location that sold them for $1 and told me where to get them; he even asked if i wanted them personalized to let him know. He went beyond the call of duty which I was grateful for. When we arrived in Cancun we walked over to the mall the next day and thanks to Carlos we were able to find the maracas they were beautiful and they were painted with Cancun written nicely on them, the lady was so happy to receive business from us she threw in some free gifts. I happy because i was able to complete all 60 of my welcome bags. The welcome dinner was amazing the wedding location and back up plan was amazing and the cocktail you guessed it amazing. They even provided the guest with a signature drink called purple rain that everyone loved. We had the welcome dinner on the Terraza, The wedding was on the sky deck with amazing views, the cocktail and reception was on the south deck with amazing views. We used the complimentary wedding decor for the ceremony (because lets face it the ceremony is 10-15 mins and people are sitting in the chairs, you cant see the decor any way so we invested in the reception). For the cocktail hour and reception decor we chose metallic sands (which was beautiful and breathtaking). We used Dream Art for our pictures our photographer Bahanna (I'm sorry in advance for misspelling her name), oh em ghee we absolutely loved her personality and spirit she was sooooo nice and so easy to work with. Bahanna was able to capture my okay our true beauty lol. We used our resort credits for the spa, excursions (Tulum and ATVs, Aqua twister, and snorkling) I also used my credits for a mani/pedi for the wedding, and the gift shop in the gift shop we used the resort credits for the tequila, cigars, and hot salsa. Beach palace restaurants were all delicious the Italian one was our favorite, the sweet and coffee shop was awesome. In the night bar Carolina, and Fernandez were our buddies they new what we wanted without asking. We had a total of 60 guest, and all of them except for one had an AMAZING time. I am soooo ready to return to beach palace resort. My guest used Bonvoyagebybarbour travel agent, she was my life saver, she sent emails to my guest and provided me with an active color coded spreadsheet to keep track of those persons that were coming. I apologize for the length of this review...I just wanted to give you my experience with the hopes of helping you plan your wedding.More
There are 4 choices for restaurants at this resort. The food is good, but over the course of a week very repetitive. Drinks are watered down and basically just ice. The "excursions" basically make you leave the resort for the entire day and you don't eat at least two meals at the resort for that day, but still pay the all-inclusive fees. The meals provided on the excursion are generally horrible, so bring a snack. The promises made for spending time at a sales presentation better be in writing or they are not kept. We were promised a free ocean view upgrade for a 1 hour presentation. We were only given a discounted upgrade that cost $150, and the 1 hour presentation lasted 3 hours. Construction happening on both sides of the building to adjacent properties. Noise of construction from 7am until after I fell asleep (after midnight). Metal shards in the pool from construction that impaled my feet everyday. Were like little metal pins from the welding on the adjacent building construction.More

Ernesto, Gabriella, and Alfredo were amazing staff members. My family of six had a fabulous time at the Beach Palace Resort. We all agree that this is a place we will make a return visit too. The food was excellent, beaches are perfect, and the staff were incredible. Only thing I didn't like was the sales pitch however Oscar is still a sweetie. Thank you!More
