Me and my husband were there for our honeymoon. When we arrived we weren't keen on the original room we were given (had an ok but not great view) on chatting to the woman on reception she instantly upgraded us to a suite with large balcony on the top floor. It was incredible. Amazing view, massive bed, amazing bathroom. Staff were great, incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was decorated for us one day. We were given gifts of bubbly and fruits. The main buffet had a great selection of food, we really enjoyed the themed restaurants also. We only went to the beach party out of the all entertainment, but we knew before arriving that the hotel entertainment wouldn't be our kind of thing! We were so happy with our stay and didn't want to leave. More
I have stayed at many places in Cancun and this one is the best so far , It is clean, the food was great and many choices, the drinks were great , the service was outstanding, there is always something to do or if you want alone time no problem, the beach was excellent and never had to fight for a spot on a lounger or at the pool !! A holiday is what you make of it and again this one I would rate a 10 out of 10 , the rooms are beautiful and the people that work hard every day to make your holiday a good one went above and beyond !! I will be back same time next year !! Thank You to all the staff and Leo at the front desk, you are all amazing !!More
Booked this holiday with Thomson travelled to Cancun on the dreamliner I was expecting something far better the cabin crew on the outbound and inbound flight were probably the most miserable I have ever encountered the food was rubbish the films and entertainment channels coming back were the same as going out so you could watch the same film coming back home as you did going out the complimentary drinks trolley passed through the cabin twice on the outbound journey then a hot drink with your meal. Apart from a little bit more legroom it's not much better than flying with a budget airline. When we arrived at the Riu Caribe hotel check in was quick the room was nice the minibar was handy. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room everyday and did a really good job. The balcony had a lovely view of the beach and swimming pool. I have never met such friendly and helpful staff in a hotel before, they are a credit to the Riu caribe. The entertainment staff put on some fantastic shows most evenings and did a really good job keeping everyone entertained day and night. The Food is absolutely amazing there's so much choice even for people with special dietary requests. The bus stop is outside the hotel and only takes 10 minutes to get to the shopping centre's. Would recommend the ferry trip to Islas Mujeres then rent a golf buggy to drive round the island we stopped off at Oscars grill which served the best tasting pizzas and Garlic bread knots. The Thomson reps were always on hand if you needed them for anything. I would recommend this hotel we had the most memorable holiday and hope to be back at the Riu Caribe next year.More
Great resort, we've stayed here twice
The rooms are basic and while they are unimpressive, there isn't anything wrong with them. They include liquor dispensers plus there is soda and water in the mini fridge. The resort has multiple bars and restaurants to visit. Even a picky eater would enjoy this resort. Be sure to utilize the lunch time pool side made to order pizza, the swim up bar and don't miss the 3PM crazy game! More

first of all all i am going say is it couldve been better but it wasnt bad. they put us in room 091 what kind of floor was that anyway???? They were kinda old and falling apart but it had pros and cons. food couldve been better they had the same food most of the time. so by the third day we were all tired of the same stuff. drinks were okay not good but not bad they tasted like sonic slushes. they took out all of our drinks from the fridge which was dumb because we were thirsty and had nothing to drink at night. that really upset me. other than that the pool was nice and the beach was walking distance from our room. i would deff come back to cancun but not here....More
