Really nice all inclusive hotel
Everything was really great, except for the night animation. My boyfriend and I expected better live music and to be able to dance at nights, but unfortunately everything (Mexican ballads/karaoke) was over by 11 PM.More

Had a fantastic 2 weeks here, lovely staff, lovely location on the beach, food great, rooms great. Buffet restaurant was great, service brilliant if in there early, once busy a little stressed, but that's understandable. 2 trips out were great, jungle advantage/zip lines and speed boats/ snorkelling. Weather was great the whole 2weeks. More
Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Visited Riu Cancun a couple of times and found the service a lot slower so glad we chose the Caribe. Room Big clean rooms, cleaned to a very good standard. Cleaner had nice touches leaving chocolates on bed etc. Shower nice and hot and very powerful. Balcony not the biggest but big enough. Fridge filled up every 2 days with beer, water, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and 7up. Optics on wall with Rum, Vodka, Gin and Tequila. Entertainment Always something happening! Water polo, beach football, beach volleyball, games around the pool, daily competitions etc. Literally a different activity every hour of the day. Entertainment team not too pushy either which I liked as some places get quite frustrating if you just want to chill. Night time entertainment was probably 8/10. Different act/show every night, very cool spacious room (cinema style) with a big bar. Bar/Service Wide range of cocktails available such as margarita's, daiquiri's, martini's, pina colada's and mojito's. all very nice especially the mango tango! We read before we went it was best to tip first but we found we got exceptional service anyway so just tipped before we left. Bars all over the hotel, all with the great same service. Never had to leave the beach as someone came round asking if you wanted drinks which was amazing. Food Main restaurant was very good, some very high quality food such as steak, prawns and tuna. There was lots of different foods available every meal time so never got repetitive. Omelettes, pancakes, eggs, sausage, beans, bacon, cereals, Soups, chicken, burrito's, different pasta's, different pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, nachos, chips, rice, mash, gravy, turkey, quesadillas, fajitas, sushi, Chinese pork steaks, sweet and sour, stews, Curry's and loads more! Plus the many deserts! Went to the Mexican restaurant one night (can go as many as you like) but found it similar to what was in the normal restaurant. Japanese restaurant we wasn't a fan of but each to there own. Pizza bar near beach was gorgeous with loads of choices. Also had BBQ next to pools on most days Sports bar did snacks such as hot dogs and muffins. Literally gorgeous. Access to food pretty much 24/7. Beach/pools Beach very clean, nice soft white sand with beautiful sea to go with it. Plenty of sunbeds both around the beach and around the pools. NO NEED TO GET UP EARLY AND PUT YOUR TOWELS DOWN! we went down about 10:30 a few times and never had a problem. Pools both very clean, quiet pool is nice and relaxing. Big pool is the entertainment pool which was fun. Reception/staff Ask for a front facing room. When we got in we were a little disappointed as we were on the side (room was still amazing). asked at reception if we could change and they were brilliant. Couldn't change us that day but the following day swapped us to a brilliant room. Only let down was the absolute dipsticks we had for neighbours. Coming in at 5/6am running up and down the corridors screaming. Security came up a few times and in fairness they stopped straight away until the next day. Ended up going out and confronting them and they soon shut up! This was completely out of the hotels control so not going against them. Other tips Don't use the taxis next to front doors (mega rip off). If you want to travel around cancun go outside and jump on a bus. You can get on any as cancun is 1 long road and they all go to the same place. It cost 12peso so around 50p. Don't be fooled by the maps as waking is a lot further than you think. Excursions we booked through scuba Caribe which was the on site sales people. Thomsons prices were ridiculous as always even though it's the same trips. We booked dolphins ourself through delphinius website. Be prepared to pay a lot for the photos though. 100% I would return/recommend Riu Caribe. Hope I've not missed anything! Thank You for an excellent holiday! More
Amazing all inclusive resort
This place has everything. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were a bit outdated but nice enough. My cousin and I stayed her for 5 nights and whilst he had some room issues with a broken shower screen and glass everywhere when he arrived, they upgraded him asap. The food is always amazing, the Mexican and steak restaurants were also so good. The dailt entertainment is also great and highly entertaining. My only real negative would be that you can't continue to swim in the pool later into the evening and the nights are pretty quiet at this resort with most heading out or off to bed. Overall I can't wait to come back!More

Average experience but will not return
Family resort without a crib for our infant on our first night = sleepless night for us. Very disappointing. My wife left her beach bag at the pool and someone brought it up to the front desk. The next day she went up to ask if it was there and was told it wasn't there. 1 hour later she asked another front desk personnel and this person found it. Suspicious. Food was great. Excellent variety. Seafood was very fresh. Service was a bit slow at times but always friendly and very hard working staff. Main buffet restaurant was uncomfortably hot in the evenings and perhaps there was a problem with the A/C during our stay? Hotel was in good condition and well maintained. Daytime pool entertainment was fun but evening entertainment was boring. Although our experience wasn't great it was of good value. With the variety of choices in Cancun we decided we would stay elsewhere next time. We agree that it would be worth spending more on somewhere that can deliver a better experience. More
