We just love this resort. The staff are like family. Awesome service. Great room and beautiful view. Overlooking the main pool and the ocean in the background. This is the reason we come back every year.More

We found our happy place
We used a last minute timeshare exchange for an amazing beach resort vacation at Sun Palace. It was a real treat having the hotel provide airport transfer. The all inclusive and Adult only format was perfect for rest, relaxation and romance. The entire staff were extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. The property was immaculately maintained and offered multiple areas for activities or quiet areas in the shade or the sun. Everyday we enjoyed the three lovely pools or the beautiful manicured beach. A lifeguard kept a close eye on our resort swimmers, Lots of comfy seating, lots of clean fluffy beach towels, big umbrellas and the attentive staff kept our drinks full and delivered our lunch too. Our 7th floor room was clean, cool and comfortable with great lagoon views, stocked bar and mini fridge, and a big whirlpool tub right in the room! The restaurant foods were very fresh, very well prepared and had a wide variety to choose from. We utilized our resort points for wine tasting night, a romantic dinner on the beach, and the chef's dinner, All were fun high quality events. Next visit I will bring more USD for tips.More
The beach is amazing
This was a last minute trip for us. The booking was flawless and the arrival amazing. We added round trip transportation and that was a good idea. Very hard to run the tour booking gauntlet on your way out of the airport but just do it. Be careful when they put the plastic bracelet on you for all inclusive that they don't snip the band. It will be with you all week. Rooms are very nice. All have hot tub either in or on deck. Service is very good. Best chairs by the activities pool so you can see the beach and the pool. Watch the sun arc to ensure your in sun or out of sun wishes can be met. Poolside food was the best for lunch bough we did mix it up. Shrimp ceviche was my favorite. Dinner was good at all restaurants. Italian is overrated with the closed toe shoe rule. The service there was not as good as the others. The Alamo was the best. Enjoy! Ps. Shrimp cocktail room service was also great.More
For the Cancun resort area this is a very inferior 'resort'. The room had a huge spa (6' x6') tub in the middle of the room which could of been a nice sitting area.. No carpet which hurt the noise level in the hallway and other rooms. Pools were just so-so. Best part of the 'resort' were the restaurants. And the service was satisfactory. I will not be returning to this resort again. The balcony was nice BUT you couldn't turn off the balcony light which was very, very, very irriating.More
