Out standing staff
We returned from here a week ago. I've never been to a hotel where the staff were all amazing. Every single one of them was outstanding, genuinely nice, friendly and willing to help in anyway. Special thanks to Raquel for making our room each day. I would return again just because of them. We was slightly unlucky with the weather which would make me think again about returning in September, as it was extremely humid and did rain for a couple of days. We swam with the whale sharks (expensive but would recommend) visited Chichen Itza, swam in sink hole and visited a Mexican town in a single trip which again we would recommend. The hotel and food was amazing. If there was any criticism I could make it would be that the bedroom! doors and windows could be more sound proofed as we did here noises from the hotel around 7am but didn't bother us. The beach and sea are beautiful, take some bread in the sea and feed the fish which is good fun! We both said we would revisit this hotel again as it's so well kept, it's on the beach and the staff are so good.More

Visited early September 2017. Very happy with every aspect of the hotel. Situation was good with access to all the other Riu's close by. On the beautiful soft sandy beach. Standard room was excellent and included jacuzzi. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant and speedy. All the service was delivered at double speed. The food was of high quality if a little unimaginative at times. We experienced first class service throughout our stay. Only downside was the weather. Experienced backlash from the hurricane and earthquake while we were there but no fault attached to the hotel. We still managed quite a lot sunbathing and would be more than happy to return at any time. Well done Riu Palace Mexico. More
Been back a week and all i can say is just as good as last year.Even the rain did not dampen our holiday good to see a lot of the staff are still here they make the place tick from all the staff at the pool bar to remy and gang at the piano bar. Also louis from down at the square at the stage was brilliant at looking after us and he actually remembered us from last year.We have already booked for next year so thank you all again for all your hard work.More
This place is incredible!!!
This resort has 5 star status embedded in its veins !!! I just got back from spending a week in this paradise oasis with my hubby and 7 month old baby and another couple. So nice to see that my baby was welcomed and fawned over the entire time. I have to say I was a bit worried about traveling to Mexico w a baby after reading all of these awful things in the news but the second we arrived here I felt so safe , the fact that it's in a gated community is a nice touch. The staff The staff here is so amazingly incredibly I'd have to say their almost the highlight of my stay. Immediately they made an effort to know me , remember that I'm traveling with a friend . They always smiled and after a while they even remembered where we like to sit for breakfast and dinner and they'd make more than small tsk with us. Alex in the buffet is simply incredible . Hugo at checkin was amazing. And I didn't catch the blonde lady who was an assistant managers name but she was the sweetest and most hardworking lady , I swear she was there 24/7 and I even felt comfortable enough to let her hold ,y baby. Just be prepared to tip everyone. The hotel This place is simply incredible. It's so gorgeous it reminds me of being in santorini . Everything is a pristine white and the palm trees are spectacular. These grounds are immaculate. We also got a room upgrade and our view was fantastic (it was a fountain view). I thought I would mind the excess of purple decor but it was actually a welcome pop of colour once ur there. The pools I kinda wish they had more room in the shade and /or other guests would be nice and let a family with babies get a umbrella or shade at the pool. We really only used one pool . Kinda wish they were bigger. Still I really enjoyed the look of the cabanas and the bartenders were a,ways waiting on you hand and foot. The beach On the day we got there there was tons of seaweed but the following days there were not . Morning was best time to hit the ocean seaweed free. Do not go in the ocean if the waves are high. Also we did no see a red flag or green flag etc indicating ocean currents. However again it was a long strip of beautiful white sandy beach. Creatures There were actually a lot of misquots and it's quite noticeable against the white backdrop of the walls. Bring bugspary (note to hotel : maybe take care of misquote issue). Also my friend kept saying it would have been nice to see a flamingo or monkey or peacock once in awhile to take pictures with but there were none. Restaurants We found out on day 3 that everything the a la cartes had, the main buffet had and more so we opted to not go to the restaurants but chose the buffet and we loved the buffet. The Japanese restaurant was super slow. However they never complained that we were bringing annoying babies in. Fav place to go was cappuccino for some drinks and snacks pre dinner. Buffet was so amazing I'm literally still dreaming of their food. This place is so worth the money !!! My hubby said it he never feels like he wants to revisit a resort but he'd come back here for sure !!! Honestly it's just wow ! Safe and happy travels ! More
