I really want to come back but...
When you first arrive it is very overwhelming, as this place is huge. Once you get settled, this place is amazing. It's the staff that makes this resort awesome. We had booked a non smoking room, and we were put in a smoking one. I called reception and the next day we were moved ,so we were happy. My husband walks with a stick and to be fair ,on check in I thought they would have noticed this. Originally we were on the second floor, midway in the building with lifts quite a distance away. Luckily when we moved we were given a ground floor room. Whenever we went to the buffet restaurants, the host always located us near the food so my husband had an easier time selecting his food and getting back to the table. Maybe the hosts should work on reception as they seem more aware of individual needs. Restaurant and bar staff work so hard and are very eager to please. Only quibble with food is IMHO, Hacienda is awful....Cold food, very very slow service, no welcome and worst of all, the view from the table!!!! They have an area near the serving and chefs preparation ,which is right in the middle of the restaurant where they pile and scrape dirty plates and your left to look at that while the waiter then goes to get your food...Absolutely awful, I was horrified to see all this while supposedly enjoying A la Carte. To me this was the worst Restaurant on the complex. All this said, the resort is clean, most of the food is good, housekeeping do a great job, and pools are cleaned daily, as I witnessed this. I agree with a previous review in that work does go on in and above and adjacent rooms overnight. I was woken at 130 and couldn't get back to sleep on a couple of occasions due to chairs/furniture being dragged around. On calling the desk I was told there was no work going on(there was),and they would send security to check...the noise stopped then , but I couldn't get back to sleep. Would I come back here again? Yes, I'd just upgrade, avoid the Hacienda and appreciate the great people here that made my holiday a great one. More
Probably one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, couldn't fault it on anything, room was really comfortable and clean, staff really friendly, food was superb, only niggle was could do with more shady areas by pools, or stop people reserving beds at 7 o'clock in the morning, and not using them till after lunch, a few times we had to leave pool area as no shade, and a daughter who burns easy, when there were shaded areas with beds /towels and yet no one had used them the whole time we were at the pool, I know it's not just this hotel, happens everywhere, but so bloody annoying 😡More
so second day in and the hotel is beautiful... the food is very good and lots of variety what i cant understand is the constant 18-30's part at the pool from 9am until 6pm every day catering for the few people who actually want that athmosphere. we have just moved room away from it and its louder... the reception staff really dont care if you complain... grand rivirera princess you are letting yourselves down pleasing the select few when the majority of your guests are not enjoying the constant thumping of bass eminating from the pool. it was touch and go if we could go on holiday due to my partner having a balance problem, all we wanted to do is relax.... now i just want to go home.More

Hotel was nice. A/C didn't work in the resutrants very well, alsway hot. Food was sub par, the best food came from the caferteria most days. This is a large property. You will use the shuttle provided to get from one end to the other.More
Wonderful hotel and staff. 2nd time to the resort and couldn't have asked for a better experience. One server who we have had both times is so kind and hard working has made our experience to this hotel the best. Fausto Snuck is his name and he treated us like we were family! Ask for him if you go!More
