Security put they hands on my son , they did nothing with my complaint ..50% of workers are Friendly 50% not
I will be pressing charges when I mentioned to security manager regarding this they did nothing but made sure they mentioned my son scratched security however it was a scuffle and they will pay for this. One of my sons wasn't allowed to come back to finish his trip he was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct. I sent him back to US but however they wasn't concerned what they did to him but was told they security wasn't allowed to strike the guest, my son was hit by staff More

Came to sit in the sun for 10 days, left with many new friends and memories
We've just arrived back after staying at the Grand Riviera Princess and overall had a thoroughly good time. To get the negatives out of the way, I would point out a few items that you should be aware of ahead of your stay... 1. Check in / out process is particularly unorganised and very slow, which can leave you very frustrated. 2. Not necessarily a negative, but good to have a heads up - this hotel is massive. My wife loves her high heels and she even gave up on wearing them in the evenings. 3. Our biggest disappointment with the hotel was the state of the pools for various reasons - so many tiles were missing and several times a day people were slicing their feet open (the lifeguard spent most of his time treating foot cuts). The cleanliness of the pools (we all had sore ears and throats). The hotel need to renovate the pools as a priority. 4. Photo overcharging - we were quoted $700 USD (as starting price) for one memory stick with our 68 photos!! This was reduced as a special discount to $380 USD which we found insane and didn't purchase (we have previously brought Disney photo packages at $180 USD for unlimited photos of much better quality) - such a shame! Now on to the positives.... FOOD - After reading several reviews about the food before we stayed, we were apprehensive, however we were pleasantly surprised with the choice restaurants and general quality of food. There was always somewhere different to eat and you could book a different restaurant every night should you wish. The buffet was of a good standard, however a little repetitive if your don't mix it up. There are also various BBQs around the complex, so always something to hand - you can't go hungry. The Sports Bar is open 24 hours, should jet lag have you up at 4am you can have food cooked to order (to eat in or take away). DRINKS - great drinks, if you know what to ask for.... i.e. don't ask for a vodka and coke, ask for a Smirnoff or Absolut and coke (as the non-branded drinks are vile). We also asked for a small measure as the bar staff like to give half a glass of vodka as standard. All cocktails are made fresh (we have been to hotels that use cocktail machines and provide horrendous "sherberty" drinks). Servers come to you pool side to take orders so you can avoid the queues at the bar (a small tip goes a long way, and you will be well looked after). BEACH - very clean, the beach is swept daily for seaweed and the sand is very soft. You have to go through about a foot of shells/stones on entry to the sea, but once through this you are one sandy floor (water shoes not necessary - we took them and didn't use them). TOWELS - standard issues, where reserving beds early in the morning and some not turning up until the afternoon to use the reserved beds. After some guests complained the hotel removed the reserved unattended towels from all beds the following day. ROOM - always remember to lock your safe!! We heard someone saying that they had money missing from their safe, but they blamed themselves for not locking it before they left the room. We were pleasantly surprised with the size and cleanliness of the room (we were in a junior deluxe room # 6245 and were well looked after by Ramon). TUI - we purposefully avoided any dealings with them after bad experiences in the past. We heard other families had many issues with trips and being lied to about room policies etc...Do not book trips with them, they are half the price with other agents. OVERALL - this resort is aimed at several groups of people, from families, to party makers. They have managed to balance this very well catering for all. I would recommend this hotel and would return their myself on the one proviso - they MUST renovate the pools.More

We had a great time, everything we needed was close to our room. Demetrio Rocio in the cafe/bar in the platinum area was great. The service and food/beverages in his area was always great. We always had snacks, fresh fruit, and our own private pool setup.More
