The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.
Monte Verde is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a wide selection of tasty local and International cuisine.

Our first visit to Portugal. We stayed in an apartment in building three (had to cross two 'streets' to get to the main building/restaurant :) Apartment was big enough and very clean - sheets changed twice in ten days, towels almost every day. Food in restaurant Monte Verde was excellent (we had half board), as well as staff - special thanks to Ricardo and Sebastian. Kids liked swimming and diving in pools, although we prefer sea/ocean (different beach every day). Small minus could be wifi coverage, but with no roaming charge these days, that's not a big issue. Overall, it was a great experience. People, weather, food, beaches... everything. So we'll be definitively back to Portugal, most probably to the same hotel.More
Lovely place to stay
Really nice place to stay. Very spacious apartments with all the Mod cons. Washing machine dishwasher toaster kettle and coffee maker. People working on reception were really nice and helpful. 3 pools all lovely, the only glitch I had was staying at the Colin's block they locked the gates which we didn't have a key to so had to walk around which was a nightmare if you'd just got back and done the 100 steps after a few too many beers or sangria. We got used to it after a few days and we're more than happy and would definitely go back to this placeMore
First Visit to Portugal
My family stayed at the apartments and loved them and would definitely recommend. The apartments were very well equipped, washing machine, dishwasher. We were in the block up the hill which had 2 pools, both pretty busy. A further pool in the hotel and the apartment block across from hotel. Couldn't comment on food as didn't eat there but there is a stairway down to the square near by with everything you could want. Walked to the marina which was beautiful. The pool bar closed at 7pm so apartments were fairly quiet after that. There is a Lidl and Aldi within 10 minutes walk with everything you could need. Would defo stay here again More
Just back from an amazing 12 days stayed at the Collina block room 412 was fantastic very. Large apartment with massive balcony found the staff to be very helpful especially Anna and Slovak. There was an issue by the pool with some very drunk obnoxious holidaymakers who took over the pool and security was sent up and they were removed. Will definitely be backMore
Excellent Hotel and location. Will most definitely return to this hotel
We stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for a week's holiday on 19 July and it certainly didn't disappoint. Location was just superb to the Old Town (138 steps down to Old Town Square) which we were aware off when we booked holiday. Hotel was spotlessly clean, staff were very accommodating and breakfast was freshly cooked, plentiful and very tasty. We opted to sunbathe in upper terrace area above the pool area was was quieter than poolside which suited us perfectly. The selection of drinks and bar snacks were excellent and not too expensive. It's worth noting this hotel is made up of 4 blocks and we stayed in Atlantic View, opposite the main hotel. If we return we would definitely opt for the hotel's main block with a pool view if possible although, that said, our room had a fab kitchen with washing machine was was a bonus for refreshing pool towels etc. Maid service was daily and hotel grounds were maintained to a high standard. This hotel is a strong contender for next years holiday. 10/10 More
