Great location, great service
We visited this hotel in June 2017 and had high expectations. We were not disappointed. The service from the moment we arrived at reception to the time we left was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was quiet with plenty of sunbeds and a very large pool and although there were the usual people reserving beds early, we never had a problem getting them when we wanted. The breakfast was very extensive with a good choice of both hot and cold dishes and if you wanted to eat outside there was always a table to be had in the sun or shade. The hotel overlooks a lovely long beach which can be reached by lift from the pool area and there is a board walk with several restaurants which were great for lunch or an evening meal, if you did not want to eat in or go into Alvor itself. That said, taxis to Alvor take about 5 minutes and cost about 5 Euros, there is a constant supply so no long waits. Our tip, go bed and breakfast and try some of the great restaurants. All in all, this was a very chilled out holiday, in an excellent hotel,in a great location, with good service from friendly and efficient staff- yes it was a bit expensive but we thought it was worth it and hope to return one day.More

Alvor - Family Easter Break
We have visited this holiday on 2 previous occasions and it has never disappointed, He can be seen as a little dated but that to me is missing the charm of the place, The staff in general are great but the service at the bar was poor, they could have been caught by an exceptional busy period due to the exceptional good weather for that time of year. The location is fantastic and access to the beach and board walk is a big plus. The pool has improved since our last visit in 2015. It is expensive but you are getting a lot for your money. I have a pestana loyalty card but I never seem to use it correctly. All in all a lovely place to stay, friendly staff and the best breakfast in Europe.More
Nice property, Average resort
We had a pretty average stay at the resort with disappointing rooms, bathrooms and amenities. The property itself is nice and beautiful with an adjoining beach and large swimming pool, so if one is willing to compromise on the rooms, then could be a decent choice. The rooms are old, there probably are a few refurbished ones, so if possible ask for those if you choose this place. Don't expect too much in terms of service, this is a large place, with limited staff. Definitely not a 5-star, will not be staying here again.More
We've staid here for 1 week, and had had an amazing time! The hotel has an amazing view over the beach and the ocean. The rooms are big and comfertable. All the food we've gotten has been delicious and the service is remarkeble! I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you're going to Alvor.More
Not 5 Star
This hotel needs to be re-categorised as a "3 Star". Dirty rooms. Broken sun beds and rusty umbrellas. Poorly trained staff, with very little English. Seriously lacking on so many fronts. A complete waste of an awful lot of money. The only thing it has in its favour is an amazing location with a stunning view. Definitely NOT 5 star. If you want 5 Star then stay at the Vila Vita Parc up the road! More
