With its clifftop location and nearby beach, the Sensimar Falesia Atlantic is well set up for a peaceful escape.
The Sensimar Falesia Atlantic crowns a towering cliff, so the hotel’s sprawling sun terraces and some of the room balconies are treated to wide-open ocean views.
Its clifftop location might give this hotel an away-from-it-all feel, but it’s just a five-minute drive from the centre of town. Plus, lively Albufeira is 15 minutes away.

Excellent Hotel Excellent Staff
Stayed here at the end of July 2016 and WILL be returning again this year. All the staff from day one till our last day we could not fault an excellent crew.We had a partial sea view room over looking the pool and outside bar area on level 3 which we found perfect for us (wish we kept note of room number) as was also near to reception area.We decided to go with the all inclusive option and how good was that well FANTASTIC.Service in the restaurant and bar was first class.Hotel was extremely clean inside and out.Pool area always kept clean and tidy to.Yes hotel away from everything in a nice quite area but that's what this location is all about. So if you want a nice relaxing sun holiday with the best food and selection of food friendly staff and a lovely room this is the place to.Can't wait to go back.More
Excellent Hotel and All inclusive great value for money
We visited this hotel and decided to go with the all inclusive option as it wasn't too expensive. It was great value for money although you could only have the local drinks. The meals, carte d'or ice cream and soft drinks alone made it worthwhile. We had a lovely room with a sea view. The hotel is very clean and modern and I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside is that there is very little to do in the resort of Olhos D'Agua, and as we stayed for two weeks we soon exhausted everywhere locally via the local buses, but went on some very good trips with Thomson. All the staff at the hotel are excellent and the food was great. I would definitely return to the same hotel if I decided to revisit Olhos D'Agua. It is an adults only hotel which made for a very relaxing holiday.More
Good hotel but not the best Sensimar experience
In general a very nice hotel with large rooms, generally in a very good state of repair, public rooms and pool area were fine and despite seeming near full no trouble finding sun loungers. Service with the exception of what is mentioned below was always good. What they could do better; I appreciate the arrival gesture but I donât want a glass of cheap fizz and a 25 minute wait to check in, checking in to a hotel should take about five minutes, especially as they know you are coming. Having checked in we had lunch followed by a drink on the terrace, heading off to find our room we found our suitcases were left in the foyer undelivered despite being labelled up, a receptionist noticed us but deliberately chose to ignore us instead of offer help, not good as first impressions go. The Directors Gala Dinner just does not work. This is a large hotel, with many of the guests turning up as invited, the restaurant becomes crowed and with self-service, dinner turns into something akin to school dinners with queues everywhere. If you eat later the buffets are somewhat depleted and tired looking, there must be a better way of doing this. This is our fourth stay in a Sensimar hotel and the third occasion when the Gala Dinner has been a disappointing evening experience. The large restaurant is short on atmosphere, its feels plain and more like a cafeteria. The chairs on the terrace eating area have cushions and the tables are larger improving your dining experience. Food labelling is poor, misplaced and faded labels, difficult to read things like allergy information or vegetarian suitability. Not a good hotel if you are a vegetarian, protein options are limited and there is little in the way of anything special or memorable to eat to contribute to the holiday experience, poor options for things like meat free prepared salads. OK for the basics, fruit and veg but not much else. My vegetarian wife stated it was getting boring towards the end of our week stay. For a wine producing country the âall inclusiveâ wines are of low and variable quality, not a good advert for Portuguese wine producers. Culinarian proves they can do it properly. You should be aware that this is a cliff top hotel, plenty of plusses to that, if like us you get a room with a good sea view, downside is its uphill from everywhere back to the hotel, bear this in mind if you have health or fitness issues, you may need to factor in transport. The foyer despite being a nice large space looks like a coach station a lot of the time due to the continual turnover of guests, invariably luggage everywhere. Whilst nothing to do with the hotel, you will undoubtedly arrive here care of Tui/Thomson. Arrival and transfer at Faro was OK but the return experience was far from pleasant. We arrived at the back of the Thomson âtreat them like cattleâ check in experience, of our 2.5 hours at the airport we spent over two hours of it stood up, mainly in queues. Not all the fault of the travel company but they contribute significantly to this ordeal with many holiday flights leaving close together, the result of the current building work at Faro airport may improve things but prepare yourself for a possible ordeal.More
We really enjoyed our two weeks visit to this hotel last August. We decided to go on an AI basis and were really glad that we did. Food drinks and ice creams whenever we wanted during the day. Wonderful. Only minus points that it was a little too quiet around the pool during the day and around the bar during the evening. Some music would have been good to add some atmosphere. Also the entertainment was terrible. Worst I have ever seen. Beautiful bedrooms. Lovely and clean. Massive beds and great shower. Only one channel on tv for Brits. Germans are no. 1 guests here. Not sure if I would go again. Enjoyed it but..... Hope this review helps. It is only my opinion. Regards Diane TimminsMore

Beautiful hotel, amazing holiday!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sensimar Falesia Atlantic in the last week before it shut for winter and we absolutely loved it and had an amazing experience. We were greeted with champagne and allowed to check in even though it was only midday. Our room was spotless and the bed is massive! Lovely bathroom with hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo, soap and moisturiser. Housekeeping were fab at keeping everything really neat and clean throughout our stay. The hotel was fairly quiet with it being the end of the season so we had the indoor pool, sauna and hot tub to ourselves most of the time. We booked massages and the staff were lovely and the spa really did rival any top quality spa in the UK, we were very impressed. We did a cocktail class which was really fun and played darts one afternoon. Everything was well organised and there's plenty of info around the hotel to keep you updated on activities. The staff at the reception, bar and main restaurant were friendly and efficient. The buffet offers plenty of choice and although not the most vegetarian friendly place, I never went hungry! (I think that might be a Portugal in general thing!) Intermarche in town is about a 15 minute walk away if you fancy grabbing food for a picnic and taking it to the beach. Be aware that there are lots of steps down to the beach and be prepared to climb over rocks as you walk around the coast to the little beaches. I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing hotel for a relaxing break, despite it being late November, we enjoyed lots of warm sunshine.More
