A week in the Algarve
Just returned from a week at the Jardim Do Vau and will definetly be returning. It is ideally situated right on the beach and a 15 min stroll into Praira Da Rocha. The staff are very friendly and go over and above to help. When we arrived it was just before the restaurant closed at 10pm and the receptionist called down to let them know we were coming and to stay open for us. After a lovely meal they also opened the shop for us so we could get milk, water etc. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and well equipped. I would definetly recommend the Jardim Do Vau to other travellers XMore
Lovely self catering resort - spacious rooms!
We have stayed at several self catering apartments in the past but none compare to the one we've stayed in at Jardine do Vau. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and a balcony large enough to have a table and chairs and 4 sun loungers all out at the same time. Just amazing space! Rooms also very clean, can't fault them. We stayed when it was quite quiet in the complex but that added to the charm. No problem getting sun loungers by the pool - no-one reserving them either which was refreshing! It's a relaxed place to stay with just the sea and the birds to listen to when on the balcony. We haven't eaten in the restaurant so cannot comment on that but would recommend trying Jacaranda just outside the hotel - really good food. Also half the price of the pool bar at the Jardim. All in all we have been really impressed by the hotel and the resort - perfect for a chill out week in Portugal.More
Wonder month in the Algarve.
The Jardim do Vau was a perfect spot for a month holiday. The apartments were well appointed, clean and convenient. Staff at the Jardim do Vau were very helpful and were always willing to go that extra mile. The facilities ie: pool, gym, restaurant, store, etc., were excellent as was the beautiful beach. We would certainly go to this resort again in the future .More
Lovely self catering hotel
It was our first time to Portugal and we needed it go right. Booking with Jardim do Vau made it possible. I wrote to Anna in reservations and asked for a good sea view if possible. She was quick to respond and also answer many more of my questions. Check in was easy even though it was late at night. We were so pleased to have the A building closest to the sea. The room was perfectly clean and the maids work hard keeping the sand out. The hotel has a little store with everything you need for each day. The pool area was spotless and getting to beach was just steps away. I am not often impressed but even though Jardim is an older hotel, it shines with the perfect location, cleanliness, staff and beach. I also enjoyed the books from the library.More
