An easy relaxing holiday.
This is our 3rd visit over 4 years and although we travelled in March as opposed to September the weather was superb for our 10 day stay. I do not know if it was the time of the year but there did seem to be more large groups staying at the hotel which at times did detract from the usual relaxing atmosphere. However the staff, entertainment and food were up to the usual standard.More
My husband and I have just returned from 2 weeks holiday staying at the Nerja Club Hotel. It was our first visit to this part of Spain. The Nerja Club is a very good Hotel and gives good value for money. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our room 218 overlooked the front of the Hotel, facing the road, This didn't give us any problems with noise. Our room was clean and comfortable, and cleaned daily with towels being changed daily. The food was very good and plentiful and the staff worked very hard. The evening entertainment was excellent, the only night without entertainment was a Wednesday. The Hotel is a little way 'out of town' but a pleasant, if long, walk down or you can catch a bus (the bus stop is across the road). Walking back up this hill takes some doing but my husband and I managed it a few times. There are loads of things to do and see in the surrounding areas. Nerja town is very pretty and the Balcon area is lovely with a large square. Overall, I would stay at the Nerja Club again. My only negatives are - no anti slip mat for the shower and the bath towels are just glorified hand towels, they are too small but these are only minor niggles. This really is a very nice Hotel.More

Cheap week away
We booked a cheap week away through Thompsons. The brochure states that it is a 20 minute walk to the beach or town. That might be the case if you are Hussein Bolt but to us it was more like 30 to 40 minutes. Although the hotel is looking a bit tired, the staff made our stay very pleasant. The buffet breakfast and dinner were about what you would expect for the price. My only issue as a new visitor to the hotel is that we were put in a room on the lower ground floor (cellar) and had very noisy neighbours. We did the \british thing of not complaining so I cannot really complain. This is not somewhere that we will be going back to.More
Mostly enjoyable week
We had a week at this hotel late March. The hotel itself is a 3* so for what it is it delivers. The food, while limited on selection was actually very good. The front of house staff were very helpful but would say other staff were pretty average. The first room we were checked into over looking the pool was not fit for a double room and a swinging cat would experience some serious head trauma. The bed may well have been concrete, it was so hard. In their defence they did move us to a room where the swinging cat would have survived. The beds were slightly softer and looking at the Juliet balcony, had I been Romeo I would have thrown myself off but the view of the mountains was quite lovely. Being charged for the use of the safe is a bit mean too, around â¬8 for the week plus a deposit. The entertainment was quite amusing although I'm not sure it was a comedy act. The pool area was very nice and the views were good. We tended to go out during the day to Balcon De Europa which is a really great place full of shops and great restaurants. I would recommend La Fuente, fab food and extremely entertaining host. Burriana beach just down the hill is lovely but would recommend a taxi back unless you are a fully qualified mountaineer, Sherpas are optional but probably advised. Watch out for the rip off taxis, one charged us â¬5.80 and the other â¬7.60 for the same trip. As my Spanish is somewhat lacking it wasn't worth the painful exchange to challenge this. Also went to Frigialana on the bus which was just stunning. Very steep in areas but such a lovely place. I wasn't happy that the bus made us pay a whole ⬠to get there, when will this end. Seriously though, what a treat. In the whole for a 3* hotel it's a nice place although I think I will look to the stars for a greater rating in my future travels. Nerja is a lovely area though and definitely would recommend this. More

Lovely hotel with great views to the sea. A little on the hilly side if walking is not for you but taxis easily available. Excellent accommodation. Good buffet breakfast. Need more bar staff especially during Happy Hour.More
