First Family Holiday
A very good first family holiday, with one or two small gripes. Service In the most part, staff were very attentive and the service could be described as excellent. This did fall down in two areas. Firstly, when we arrived at the hotel following a 45 minute transfer, our room was not ready (despite it being after 3pm and check in time is from 2pm), normally this would not be an issue but we were travelling with a 6 month old baby. The gentleman on the reception desk was fairly rude when giving us options while we waited. The second occasion the service faltered was at the outside bar. This hotel is not fully all inclusive, so queues are often long, and you can only take two (small) drinks at a time, which means you spend more time queuing. Hotel Very clean, in a pristine location (literally 30 seconds walk to the beach) with great views looking out to sea and across to the other side of Es Canar. The hotel grounds are very well kept with staff constantly working on them. The lifts can be a major headache, especially when you have a pushchair. The hotel is in two blocks and there are only two lifts that service each block. The lifts are tiny (two people with a pushchair and its completely full) and cover all 5 floors. Pools Two pool areas, the main pool which was split into three and a kids pool complete with pirate ship. There probably aren't enough umbrellas to shade people from the sun (which would be more apt for kids) but there are plenty of beds. You can't reserve beds early, they are fenced off until 9am, when people then run with their towels to get their preferred spot - a bit comical and slightly embarrassing. First people queuing for this are normally there at about 8:30am. Food Standard buffet style, 3 times per day. The food is pretty good actually, considering how many people stay here. A lot of the items are standard and they cater for all tastes, then occasionally they have a themed night. I believe Mexican was one of them. Rooms The room we had (131 I think) overlooked the main receptions roof but we did have a limited sea view. The rooms are well appointed, with a large bed, TV, fridge, security deposit box and desk. The balcony for our room was a sun trap in the late afternoon and it was fairly quiet (away from the pool areas). The air conditioning could be described as adequate as it was cooler than outside but not a blast of cold air that you sometimes want and need. All in all, a decent hotel which I would recommend if you are travelling with a family or young children. Couples, I would suggest, stayed somewhere else.More

Beautiful island , fantastic beaches and seventh time in hotel Miami . Was put in interconnecting rooms for first few days and asked to be moved as very little privacy , we could hear everything the neighbors were doing ! The rooms were very small and not appropriate for my 74 and 71 year old parents . The hotel was booked up but as soon as a room came available they moved us to a superior room with excellent views and good furnishings and space at no extra cost . The food is way above 3* it's easy 4* and the staff are excellent . Clean environment, lots of sun beds and chairs and a great shaded bar area . All in all fabulous More
Amazing family holiday
I loved everything about this hotel especially the location. There was always a good selection of food at every meal including plenty of options for vegetarians. It was also spotless all the time and the evening entertainment was good and varied can't wait to go back next year More

We paid for a Sea view and got a tree view 🌳🌳🌳
We paid for a twin room with a full sea view and that is what our confirmation/booking details said. We arrived and were checked into room 422 on the 4th floor out of 5 floors. We had popped into travel agents to ask them to email the hotel to make sure we were high up to obtain a full sea view and the reviews said it was quieter above the 3rd floor. We entered our room dropped the cases and opened the curtains to reveal an enormous tree which completely overpowered the view. You could see the sea to the left a few clips of the beach in between the other tree next to ours. We also had a tiny room with a small double bed and not twin beds as we had specified and again on our confirmation. We went down to reception to complain that we had not got the room we asked for or paid for only to be told they were fully booked and come back after breakfast the following day. We offered to pay even more for an upgrade to a superior room but they were fully booked!!!! The Thomas cook rep was not due on site until the Thursday which was five days AFTER we arrived. We went back to reception the following day and was told we would have to wait for the manager to have a look as they were fully booked!!!! This was a holiday for me and my husband whilst I am waiting to see a neurologist after severe headaches and high blood pressure. The medication I was on allowed me to take a break but I couldn't handle the stress andupset this was causing so we left it. We saw the other rooms as we were out and about and the bigger TWIN rooms had cots in them. The hotel was indeed packed with families with toddlers so I believe that they put us in a tiny room as you would not get a fit in it. They needed the room type we should have had for a family so they could get a cot in it. We just wanted to go home and felt we had been unfairly treated.More
Last few days 14 night stay
Have been here for ten days and have four left. This is our second two week stay here. The hotel is right on the beach. The food is great with themed Mexican Spanish and Chinese nights great variety of food for kids ( we travel with a three year old). The room we have this year on the 5th floor is totally amazing with views across the resorts beach. The staff here are very friendly especially Desa at the bar and Tony in the restaurant. This hotel is planned to be a four star next year. There is only one downside to this hotel the entertainment can only be described as "shocking" and gets worse every year. You get two bird shows per week and following both half hour shows you get pestered to buy a photo holding a bird. Singers can not be heard because the hotel is limited to 65 decibels. The animation team are the worst I have ever encountered the sports team member wore a long black coat and top hat one night which terrified the kids, he forgot the words on another night and just did some crazy African houling and on Saturday he forgot to clear the stage when the act started and ran out from the dressing room with no top on his belt hanging down and dragged children and a disabled man off the stage. The animation team appear to have one cd which has YMCA Gangnam style and the theme from titanic on it and it gets played over and over. We will possibly book again because the location, the food, the staff are all good. I would build the cost of going to nearby Popeyes or Charlie's for a few nights into your budget as the entertainment is totally woefull. More
