Holidays to Playa d’en Bossa give you Ibiza at its liveliest. And as well as world-class nightlife, you’ve also got the island’s longest beach.
A resort all-rounder
When it comes to holidays, Playa d’en Bossa has pretty much thought of everything. Set on Ibiza’s southeast coast, it plays to families with a waterpark but also packs in bars and clubs, including the legendary Pacha. And if that wasn’t enough, the place has also come up trumps with the longest beach on the island.
Playa d’en Bossa’s two-kilometre beach comes with plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas. And you’ve got a top line-up of watersports here, too. But where this stretch really comes into its own is the impressive line-up of bars, where you can drink cocktails and dance to chillout tunes while still wearing your shades.
Playa d’en Bossa isn’t just about the party atmosphere, though – families get a look in, too. Beachside play parks provide merry-go-rounds, bouncy castles and trampolines, and the resort also has a bowling centre, which comes with mini golf and a rodeo as well. And you’ll find the pubs are pretty welcoming as far as kids are concerned.
From the resort, you’re only 10 minutes away from Ibiza Town. In the old part, the 400-year-old city walls are still in fine nick, and within them you’ve got a cathedral, castle and museum to explore. Also just a 10-minute road trip away is the Ses Salines Natural Park. Salt mining is big business here – the shimmering lakes and flamingo-filled marshes are all saturated with the stuff. Visit at sunset to see it at its best. The landscape’s naturally-high salt content is the reason why you might find water on this part of the island has a slightly salty taste.
