Stayed 12 nights in a studio apartment with spectacular views over the beach.Spacious apartment, spotlessly clean with excellent air conditioning. Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds at all times of day.. Very good value for money.More
Ideal for couples and families
Great setting around infinity pool and poolside bar which serves food until 2030hrs and serves drink until midnight. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols which are free but if you want a soft mattress for the lounger its 2 euros per day. If you want air conditioning in your room its an extra 10 euros per day. Very central with a lovely beach across the road with plenty of restaurants nearby. Use the restaurant below the apartments and get a 10% discount. Only two main bars around the corner being Vincents and Del Boys for all your tv sports, karaoke, bingo, quizes and other entertainment. A small resort for a nice relaxing holiday. Staff could not do enough for you and were friendly and efficient. Lift broke down twice during the week we were there but give staff their dues it was back in working order on both occassions within 3 hours. If you have mobility problems look for somewhere else. Room was basic but clean and tidy with plenty of plates, cutlery, toaster, kettle and iron. Towels and bedding changed regularly and apartment cleaned twice during the week. Well recommended.More
del ray apts
My wife and i have been to portinax several times, but this was the first time in the del ray . overall a very good stay, we were placed on the top floor with a view to die for over the bay.The rooms are basic but spacious and include fridge, kettle, toaster and most importantly aircon, which is free, BONUS,however there are lot's of steps so if you're not good on your feet think carefully! There's a lift which goes from the 4th floor to street level all together there are 7 floors. The pool area is fairly small but a sunbed was always available, amatress for the beds were 2 euros each a day ,pool bar as well but quite expensive the infinity pool was another 9lus with views over portinax bays. All in all a very good stay and would definitely recommend, ,,,,,,breakfast at del boys a must and night life at vincents a dead cert or a walk around the bay wiith restaurants and bars. to choose from our holiday dates were 12 june to 26th ..If you're looking for a rave time think again portinax is not about thatMore

Just spent a week here, apartment we had kept nice and cool, air con was great, it was so quiet meaning we had good nights sleep. Pool area is nice, lots of sunbeds. The beach is perfect, lovely warm, clear sea and loads of fishes. Loads of restaurants to choose from. We got a few mozzie bites one evening, but once we used a spray weren't bothered by them.More
Basic Accommodation - Great Location
Just returned after a week here booked via Thomsons. Yes the apartments are dated/need refreshing, they could be viewed as dark with poor lighting, the towels could be fluffier, the kitchens could have more utensils e.g. a sharp knife/an oven/glasses etc etc but you get what you pay for in my view. We knew what to expect and got it at this place - a minute from the beach and close to all restaurants/shops. More of an issue for some maybe around the pool not having much of a shallow area where non-swimmers can cool off/float around - we had our first few hours by the pool and didnt return due to this and many kids bombing each other, so headed to the beach. Point to note: the chairs/loungers/brollies on the beach are 7 euros each per day so can be viewed as a bit pricey. However, the beach is lovely, the sea easily accessible, warm water and great for cooling off in or having a swim. Decent water sports facilities there as well although no toilets there. I must admit it was busy and we did wonder how it would be at peak season in terms of sunbed availability etc Close by are 3 "supermarkets" that sell most things you will need as well as a few bar/cafe type places selling the usual "British" food as well as some fish/paellas as well. A nicer restaurant is also close S'Arena and walking over to the other beach, La CIguena is also very good. Didnt like the fact that the safe deposit boxes were in reception and not in the room - we didnt end up using them tbh. There were signs about not leaving your stuff unattended on the beach due to thieves etc but we didnt have any issues at all and felt very safe and secure at all times in the resort. Checkin was a doddle and took 5 mins and then taken to the room. There is a reliance on the lift for most so if you do have mobility issues, its worth bearing that in mind. The lift did break down on a Saturday evening while we were there and on the 5th floor, you do feel it a bit on the stairs! However, it was repaired quickly (much to our surprise) Transfer by coach via Thomson wasnt ideal - took just over an hour going but coming back took 1hr 45 mins due to calling in at a resort on the way back and numerous pickups. We were picked up 4 hours before our flight so would definitely look at this if we visited Portinatx again and maybe get a taxi/car hire Portinatx is great if you just want to chill and relax - there are a few bars that put on "entertainment" like quizzes, karaoke etc if you want that but its certainly not what we'd view a "young persons" resort.More
