Just returned from a weekend in alcudia at the ivory playa, what an amazing hotel, friendly, clean and very close to the beach. We were in room 409 which had an amazing sea view room. There are 2 pools at the hotel which are kept clean, we didn't eat at the hotel as a little pricey and the cocktails from the bar need looking at as not worth money but apart from that I will definitely be returning for a longer stay. Spotless Apartments - excellent staff

We stayed at the Ivory Playa in Playa Muro, not far from Puerto Alcudia in April this year. The Ivory Playa consists of spotless and large apartments with separate bedroom, sitting room, kitchen and bath and shower. They have indoor, and two outdoor pools (one heated), tennis court, spa and gymnasium. When we went there was more than adequate number of sun beds and the complex receives the sun throughout the day. The apartments are cleaned on a daily basis. There is a plan of activities for children and adults and have a bar both inside and outside. The staff can not be faulted for their attention and friendliness. The apartments is a very tiny stroll to a fabulous beach of endless golden sands and a sea that is a stunning blue. Its only fault is its location which is a little to remote from the main resort but has a few excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance and he complex itself has good dining. If you like walking or waiting for the rather hit and miss bus service then its location may not be a problem. If you do go then the Hawaii Bar more or less attached to the apartments is a fabulous place for food, if not a little too generous with their portions.More

Clean,friendly staff,well furnished rooms

We went here Apr 1st for ten days. We had on off days re the weather. Nothing except the eroski supermarket, where you can get a lovely cheap cup of coffee with biscuit or small choc roll, for €1.40also for a glass wine and beer it was €4Hawaii restaurant two mins away also was open. So each day we walked to the port of alcudia which took an hour there an hour back. Its a lovely little town, with plenty of restaurants. Lacoleta was our favourite. It's a beautiful walk along the beach, the scenery is spectacular. We had a fab view from our balcony on the top(5th floor) close enough to hear the waves crashing onto the beach. There is a large pool , kids and indoor small pool (you have to wear a hat if you have hair on your head)with jacuzzi. It's free. You just need to get a ticket every day from reception. Also has steam room and sauna and gym. What you see on the web site is exactly what you get. One bike one treadmill one cross trainer. The food at the pool side is nice. We paid £65 a night, in the summer it goes upto £225 a night. Which is ridiculous as you get no more no less. The Maid cleans every day except Wednesday when they just change kitchen and bathroom bin bags. They supply your towels, shower gel, hand wash and washing up liquid. Not shampoo. Hairdryer in bathroom. You can hire towels for the poolside. It was 3 euros whilst we were there. I expect the price may change depending on season. It's literally 2 mins walk from the pool to the beach along a side street. Sun beds were also free on the beach. The port of Alcudia has some great boats to view. More

Great relaxing week away

Stayed here 6/4/16 for a week with my wife and 2 young kids (9,3). Hotel was faultless and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel is 1 min walk to the beach which is immaculate and very well looked after. Some great views across the water. Rooms well equipped and everything u needed. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat here although the food did smell lovely as you pass the door to the dining room. Rooms cleaned daily and bedding as and when you asked. We got free use of the spa facilities also which has an indoor heated pool ( ideal as outdoor pools were quite cold as its early April). The hotel is about 10-15 min walk to the main strip to the right of the hotel where there is plenty bars and restaurants and shops although again as it isn't peak season not all were opened but enough were to do what u wanted to. There is a supermarket literally across the road from the hotel which is handy. To the right about 5 mins walk of the hotel there is a bar called smiths which is very friendly and shows live sports etc and the staff are great. They do a little loyalty scheme when u spend over 20€ u get a stamp and after so many you receive money off. The Chinese buffet on the strip was great and worth the money. Plenty choices for everyone. On the main strip the pub called Nevada did great food and was very well priced with plenty to choose from. There's lookey lookey guys around a lot but once we told them no they didn't bother us again. A very good relaxing holiday with family and considering going back next year a little closer to summer.
