The Hotel More is planted right on the edge of the pretty Bay of Pollenca, and reels off all the right credentials for a laid-back beach break.
The Hotel More is perched right on the shores of the horseshoe-shaped Bay of Pollenca. There’s a swimming pool right on the water’s edge, where you get panoramic views of the mighty Formentor peninsula.
Inside, the décor is simple but classy – think colourful patterned chairs, marble surfaces, and terraces with charcoal rattan sofas.

Lovely relaxing holiday
My daughter and I returned from this hotel yesterday. I must say I read all the reviews on here before we booked and they were excellent. Then two days before we visited I read new reviews, I must say I was horrified by what I read which is why I feel the need to give my honest opinion of this hotel. This is a lovely hotel, it's basic but has a lovely Spanish feel to it. I was quite surprised that the reception area is up about 10 steps which on arrival you have to carry your case up. My husband is disabled and this would have been a big stumbling block if he was with us. There is a lift but it's behind reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was quite small but extremely clean, very basic but again Spanish style. The bathroom was a really good size with walk in shower. I did manage to flood the bathroom floor though. There's a big built in wardrobe. My only real gripe with regards to the room was lack of sockets. We only had one socket in the room which is quite difficult with a teenager charging phones, iPads, hair straightener etc, we did manage though. We had clean towels daily if needed, the bath towels are very small so if you like a big towel then just take your own. The hotel overall was lovely, the location is very quiet which we knew it was, if you are looking for total relaxation then book this hotel. The hotel next door was dreadful and noisy, it was a shame we had to listen to it but I was just thankful I wasn't staying there! The pool was lovely, we had to put our towels out otherwise we wouldn't have got a sun lounger. There's also lots of loungers around the garden part of the hotel by the sea and loungers in the adult part out the back of the hotel. If you want shops and bars then do not come to this hotel. We walked into the old town which is approx 15-20 minutes away, it's an easy walk but personally I wouldn't do it if I had younger children as a lot of the time you are walking on the road. The old town is really lovely, plenty of pavement cafes, restaurants and small shops and very pretty. We got a taxi into Port Alcudia which is very lively, beautiful beach, lots of shops and restaurants. It costs about €7 each way. To be honest it's so busy it made me glad to get back to Hotel More as I found it very therapeutic there. We booked half board, breakfast was great (I'm really fussy) it had something for everyone, although I'd never seen bacon look like that bacon before? The temperature could have been hotter though. Dinner was extremely disappointing, it's buffet style but very cheap food. One night we had chicken nuggets, spring rolls, chips, pasta, mixed veg which was cold. Food to me is my priority and I found it to be the worst part of my holiday. It seemed to improve, we had two out of seven nights food I enjoyed. As we were half board I didn't take a huge amount of spending money but wish I had so we could eat dinner out. The staff are very friendly in the restaurant and the rest of the hotel. The beach is a few minutes walk across the road, it's beautiful there, the sea is so warm and a really lovely experience. I felt very safe here travelling alone with my daughter. There's a small shop nearby which has very limited stock but has basics like drinks, sun cream etc. The hotel has bikes to hire if you want which look great but to be honest the heat made me very lazy. There's evening entertainment if you want it, we had Elvis, Abba, a guy on his guitar and a duo. It's there if you want it but it's not in your face. Overall, we had an extremely lovely and relaxing holiday, the hotel is Spanish style with a new block added. It's clean, the staff are friendly and it's a lovely safe quiet location. As mentioned the food definitely needs upgrading but if you're not particularly a foodie then it will fill you up, loads of carbs, bread, pasta, chips. There's no kids clubs (thank goodness) the children that were there were lovely well behaved kids having a fun holiday. It's a mix of different ages and nationalities which I thought was great. If I was a woman on my own I'd feel very safe and comfortable here likewise a parent alone with children. This was just the relaxation I needed. I had my 16 year old daughter with me and she loved it too, the wifi in the reception area/bar was brilliant. I would recommend this hotel but due to the poor food quality I wouldn't return.More

LESS THAN AVERAGE
Recently returned to Majorca for a weeks break after many years absence. Hotel More was rather disappointing and did not live up to many of the previous reviews for this hotel The major negative for me was the very disappointing food which was very lack lustre in both quality and presentation. Other negatives included the none ability to charge for drinks etc then pay in total at the end of the holiday told in a very brusk manner at he first visit to the bar CASH ONLY even though I found subsequently c/cards were acceptable I do not take a lot of cash abroad use c/card for both safety and overall cost Initial info provided when checking in stared no booking of loungers around the pool which was totally ignored and not policed in any manner by the hotel The adjacent beach did not have any facilities and should be mentioned CRITICISM OF THOMAS COOK Room facilities were very minimal as exemplified by the provision of ONE MINISCULE BAR OF SOAP whilst no bedding change was apparent during the weeks stay as indicated would take place I would state however that the area and vistas are very good although the noise from the FRENCH hotel next door can be rather annoyingMore
Get what you pay for. Modern rooms. Uncomfy beds
We stayed here for 5 days. The hotel has clearly undergone significant upgrades over recent years. Although the reception was aged and shabby, the staff were friendly. We stayed in a garden suite. The room was ace except the beds were uncomfy and had horrible waterproof sheets on them and the two single mattresses slipped all over the shop. We asked if they could do anything about it - they said hat all beds are like that. Also the shower flooded the whole bathroom. Otherwise the pool and gym were awesome. Except they kept opening the doors to the gyms causing the air con to go off and making it unusable (bit of a shame really). The breakfast was acceptable although. Plenty of free parking on the streets nearby. There is a French hotel across the street which had obnoxiously loud music some nights. However other nights it was lovely to sit by the sea in a very quaint seating area. We had a great trip to Majorca and this hotel made a great base for exploring. More
