Excellent Hotel, Great Location.
Stayed for a week 15th-22nd April and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are excellent and despite what other reviewers say we found the food very good. Varied choice of food, lamb, pork, chicken, beef, fish dishes most nights, plus a carvery. Plenty of vegetable and salad choices as well. They even do British Back bacon rashers at breakfast as well as the streaky bacon you find in most Spanish hotels. The rooms are a bit small and quirky, but perfectly adequate. We had a large balcony room on the first floor (room 123), all the large balcony rooms are on the first floor. There's an adjustable sun canopy if you want a bit of shade. We only caught 3 acts of the nightly entertainment, and it was a bit hit and miss. The young lady who sang some Adele songs was a very good singer, but she tried too hard get the audience involved. It ended up looking like an exercise class in a care home. Just stick to the singing... Overall an excellent hotel, would definitely recommend it.More

Out of this world!
We went there last minute for a short break, needed the head space, it was 3 nights, four whole days and it was amazing. Modern, tidy, superbly clean. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The facilities were perfect! You had everything you needed and more. The food was so delicious, defo on a diet and we were only there for three nights! Beach views from our room, walks, beaches, shops, cafes, restaurants, clubs all nearby if you wanted them. Bus stop right outside the hotel front door. Perfect! Cant wait to go backMore
Great hotel but some limitations
Have visited the Alicia on many occasions and it does offer good value for money. This visit is the first since it was upgraded to 4 star and the improvements are good. The rooms have all been refurbished and look nice and clean inside. They are a little small and the beds are not that comfortable but otherwise a good base for your holiday as the hotel is right in the centre of things. If you get a sea view room the outlook is spectacular and nothing beats going to sleep listening to the sea. The new pool and lounge area on the roof has been done well and is a lovely spot to take in the sun and views of the sea. The staff in the bar are incredible. Efficient, friendly and really make the evenings enjoyable, even though some of the evening entertainment can be a bit ropey. A new gym was added to the side of the building which was a waste of time. The cardio equipment is of a poor quality, some of the dumbells are missing, there is no bench, and two pieces of very limited weights equipment that are exactly the same also dont do much. This was a disappointment for a four staff hotel. The other downside is the food. At breakfast, some food is cooked fresh and this is great. Bacon swimming in fat and poor quality deep fried sausages are disappointing at breakfast. However, there is a good choice of breads. We gave up on the evening meals. The salads were nice but the hot food was often cold, full of salt, and not very good quality. Most of the veg is frozen and cooked to within an inch of its life. Fortunately, the nice accommodation, great staff, and central and stunning location still make this hotel worth a visit.More
Lovely hotel, super location on the promenade
Twin room was a little small, but perfectly adequate. £rd floor, with a fantastic view over the bay. Lovely food, and a wide choice from the buffet at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast, it was an experience watching Christina cooking fresh bacon, omelettes, and pancakes to order - very adept, and nicely cooked. Evening entertainment was mixed - we only saw a couple over the 2 weeks. Everything was very clean and well maintained (minor glitches like our room key didn't operate the underground car park entrance the first day, mid week it didn't operate our room and needed to be re-programmed, and twoards the end it gave us a green light but the door didn't open. All minor and soon sorted (the last one was new batteries in the lock!) We didn't use the pools (indoor, outdoor and a rooftop infinity pool) but comments were that the water was quite cold - maybe better later in the season. Overall, a lovely location, well placed to stroll into Cala Bona or Cala Millor, and for exploring the Eastern side of the island.More
