The BEST Holiday I have ever had
I have just returned from a FANTASTIC 2 weeks spent at the Cristina Apartments, We arrived before check in time but still managed to get shown straight to our rooms, We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a pool view, Myself, my 2 boys and my parents, The apartment was very clean and well equipped, The only 1 issue We had with the apartment was the poorly functioning fridge, we tend to eat in the apartment 50% of our holiday and were disappointed to find the fridge was not level and the freezer door was missing and so it kept over freezing and then defrosting leaving products in the fridge wet and only just cold enough, we brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, they did send someone up to level the fridge, which helped a bit, we did not let this ruin our holiday. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly and all our needs were met. The Animation staff !!!!! well what can I say, only absolutely fabulous. Kevin and Luana were a great team, hilarious, we laughed so much. my 2 boys Sean and jack loved them. Kevin and Luana, and indeed all the staff go out of their way to get to know all the guests by their first names and try to involve everyone in the entertainment, without being too intrusive. Mustn't forget to mention the lovely bar and restaurant staff, who do a great job too, We will definitely be coming again. I just want to add, this is my first time writing a review, It just goes to show how fantastic a time I had that i felt compelled to write these words. LorraineMore
Amazing Staff.. Shame about some of the guests!
Just returned from a 2 week break at Cristina (2 adults, 3 kids) which we generally enjoyed but it was marred slightly towards the end by inconsiderate guests! Apartment was overlooking the pool. Great large balcony. Not great for cooking in, but we generally eat out anyway. We booked bed and breakfast and were a little disappointed by the choice available. Not all English people like a cooked breakfast! The staff, however, were all superb! from the receptionists to the bar staff and cleaners - all incredibly friendly and efficient. Special mention must be given to the entertainment staff - Kevin and Luana who made an effort to get to know your name and were great fun. My 6 year old loved the mini club with Luana twice a day. So the holiday would have been fab had it not been for the selfish behaviour of some of the guests. The sunbed situation is RIDICULOUS! We were woken up on the penultimate morning at 6.15 (It was still dark!) by an enormous row going on over sunbeds between a British woman and a German woman who was trying to reserve 14 beds. The row culminated in the British woman threatening to throw the German into the pool! All the beds were gone by 6.30! Come on people, do we really need to reserve sunbeds for toddlers? As a family of 5, we would only require 2 beds. On the last night, we went to bed early as we were being picked up at 4 am. However, we did not sleep due to a very large, rowdy group of British holiday makers around the pool who were making a ridiculous amount of noise until 2.30 am!!! This is a family resort, for Pete's sake! Don't get me wrong, we met some lovely people here. However, until people stop living in a bubble and consider others, this is not the complex for me!More
4th year great as usual
Just returned from The Cristina apartments....yet again a great holiday! 10 nights this time hoping for 2 weeks next year. Great entertainment team a change from last year so wasn't sure BUT they were great Kevin and Luana we hope they are there next year when we return for year 5!! We never really left the complex as always something going on. Water polo, volleyball, aqua aerobics, family fun day hilarious fun! Lots of other games to join in if you want to. Staff as always very friendly and helpful. Visited the market at Cala Ratjada got the bus €2.50 each from Cala Millor Saturday morning. Sun beds an issue for some but we refuse to get up early to get one ...... we are on holiday after all! We made do with the chairs near the bar with a much needed sun umbrella!!! 40+ degrees while we were there. Ate at the hotel and Sun Deck in Cala Millor English couple who run it very friendly food very nice visited a number of times. Th children are always catered for at the Cristina they can be left to enjoy themselves without worrying where they are. Nice small complex a lot of returning holiday makers. Xxxxxx Thank you Cristina. More
Arrived about 8.30pm and was met by the owner sorry carnt remember her name very welcoming and took us to our room it was spacious but apart from the bathroom was very dated. For a self catering apartment its not very well equiped the toaster was very strange. The maids were very friendly and towels were changed regular. The entertainment was ok but lets it down because the quests are the entertainment one night was the guests had to collect clothes that other people were wearing which when children are still around i found a bit strange.Sunbed issues were unreal to get a bed you needed to be at the pool at 7 to get one then stay with your bed till 9 not something i wanted to do every morning.Cala millor was a lovely place the centre was about a 10 minute walk.Beware i booked with Jet 2 they have these apartments a 3* but it was only a 2* if i would have known i wouldnt have booked.Transfer from airport was 1hr 20 mins but coming home we made 9 pick ups which took the transfer to 2hrs Ridiculous!!! Not unsuitable for babies
I booked this family friendly apartment complex for my grandsons (13 months) first holiday but badly advised as it wasnt suitable for his age. The reviews were good with many return visitors and having read those I emailed requesting a room away from the main bar area so it was quieter. I also requested an upstairs apartment. I received a reply saying they would see what they could do. On arrival we were away from the bar but directly outside the restaurant and we were on the groundfloor. The terrace area was not gated and a nightmare for an inquisitive toddler. I asked for an upstairs but told they were 2 bed apartment I was in a one. If they had told me that by email I would have paid for the 2 but now it was too late they were full. Negatives -the restaurant doesn't open for breakfast till 9. Too late for a hungry baby! Food was poor and not worth 9€. Get better for 6€ if you walk into the town. Id paid B&B but not good value for money. Reserving sunbeds - signs to say you cant but not adhered to and not enforced. I did see management come round one morning and remove towels but just folded them to the side. NOT a deterrent. Getting a pool side bed was almost impossible. Entertainment- started too late. Kids disco at 9pm. Same kids songs. Where was the atmosphere? Main full lights kept on No glitter ball? No disco music? Kids like to dance#!! Then bingo every night!! Really?? Main entertainment started at 10 and went on till 2am some nights. Fine for adults (insanely loud on our first night and would have moved hotels if I could)! Adults all watching show while kids running riot up and down outside, screaming and banging doors. Nothing for small children!!! There is a small playground but lots of cats so lots of poo in the sand so unsuitable for small ones. This needs replacing with matting and some investment in play equipment needed. How about a small soft play area? Rooms - beds very uncomfortable. Mine squeaky and woke me up everytime I turned over with the noise. Bathroom - sharp corner near toilet. Caught my side on it twice standing up off the loo! No shelf in the shower for toiletries etc No hook to hang your clothes. Shower screen needs sealing - water everywhere after a shower and dangerous. Positives - apartments very clean. Staff- extremely friendly and attentive Would I go here again - definitely NO!! My advise would be to give this place a miss if you have children under 5. More
