Very good ........but!!!!!!!!!
Stayed at this hotel for two weeks starting on the 18th July 2017 (room 635). I have stayed at many 4 star udult only hotels over the last few years and as per most reveiws you have seen this hotel is very good, the staff are fantastic, the food is great and our room was really nice too it even had a second balcony leading out from the bath room!!!! So why only a 4 out of 5.......? The entertainment was a bit of a let down, during the day there is very little going on and I'm not expecting a massive entertainment programme but even half hour aqua aerobics in the main pool would have been something ( why do they do the aqua aerobics in the small pool on the 6th floor???). Night time entertainment was also very hit and miss, there were a few very good bands but some nights it was just a man or woman singing songs with a backing track ( very karaoke) not what I have usually experienced at other 4 star hotels? So to sum it all up we had a fantastic holiday very relaxing and enjoyed our stay at the this hotel, and with better entertainment this hotel would have easily got a 5 out of 5 from me, well done to all of the hotel staff you do a wonderful job.More
What can I say, this hotel is fabulous. We booked it for our recent honeymoon a day upgraded to one of the rooms with your own private whirlpool. We were not disappointed. We had a fantastic time. The hotel is spotless, staff cannot do enough for you and are very friendly. The restaurant is also brilliant, when they learned we were on our honeymoon we was given a complimentary bottle of champagne from them and the nicest lady that attended to us every night was Joanne, nothing but praise for these guys they work very hard and is a long day and they have always for smiles on their faces, good on you guys. We had a fantastic view over the beach and could never tire of it. We didn't go to the main pool apart from the 1st morning and it is really nice too with plenty of sunbeds. There is entertainment every night if you choose to stay there. Shops just over the road and we found this great British Pub - The Sportsman's and the people in there are very friendly, special thanks to Dawn for looking out for me when my husband went for a tattoo and to Miguel for being so friendly and making us feel very at home there as well as the owners who are also great people, food good atmosphere brilliant highly recommended. We plan to go back to this hotel as we were so impressed with our stay and the day we were going home we were presented with another bottle of champagne, how lovely and kind is that! Well done to everyone in the Protur Playa for many, ingredients our honeymoon a very memorable one and we hope to return to see you all again soonMore

Much to commend it...
I confess to being sceptical about 'package' hotels, but frankly in those terms this was a reassuringly pleasant surprise. There are a minority's of weaknesses which are bearable, but mostly it's very good. It's the quieter side of the island and being a child free hotel is always a plus for us. We changed rooms from the first floor after one night, looking at the roof over the ground floor and being so proximate to it was a bit unwelcome. The ac in the room would have raised the dead, so noisy. The room on the 7th floor directly above was fine....except...the major flaw in this very large, relatively elegant hotel = ONLY two lifts, tiny, very stuffy, slow and constantly under pressure from demand. You could lose the will to live waiting. It's also used by service staff so demands are even greater. It's bearable, but incredibly irritating, the architect/designer missed a trick in planning. The staff are friendly, very efficient and extremely hard working. The food is as good as any package hotel, not exceptional but pretty good. The Tuesday Gala offering was outstanding . They also throw in a one-off evening in the a la carte restaurant. There's no supplement. It's puzzling because the food is better in the nightly buffet, no wine list, wine only by the glass, two overworked waiters. No cheese course. Somebody needs to translate a la carte for them. Honestly it's a good idea but the offering isn't great, so why bother? There are constraints upon reserving a poolside sun bed before 10.00 am that must frustrate a certain Nation lots. The pool is uncomfortably warm the area surrounded by glass panels, it's like being in a microwave. Until we moved to the good very proximate beach and paid 15euros for a sheltered spot next to the sea each day, we just roasted. Clearly it suits most, just not us. Room cleaning was excellent in terms of cleanliness, but two days running no shower stuff left. All in all it's fine, very good NOT exceptional. We have no regrets about choosing it and I hope the hotel takes my criticism of some elements positively.More
One of the best
Just returned from a wonderful week with my husband and two (grown-up late teens) kids at this lovely hotel. Contacted the hotel before we left to ask for the rooms to be as close as possible and we got two next door so that was a good start. The rooms themselves were clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the beach and sea. We also had a small tea/coffee tray and a fridge which was good for storing snacks and drinks in. A large bottle of water was also supplied and replaced (for free) daily which was a nice little extra. All the lounge and bar areas were clean and smart and the 'elephant room' was nice for a drink in the evening. Up on the roof was an infinity pool and sunbathing area in the day and at night a chill out bar serving cocktails and which played music with an 'Ibiza vibe ' for those not into Abba tributes etc that were in offer downstairs (whatever floats your boat)! The hotel itself was in an excellent position just a stones throw from the beach, supermarkets and a short walk to bars and restaurants. If pushed, the only downside to the whole thing was the fact that you had to specify a dinner sitting being 6.30 ( a bit early meant you had to get off the beach or pool to get ready early) or 8.30 ( a bit late and resulted in us munching crisps as we were all 'starving' by then). If you had the early sitting you had to eat up quick as they started clearing up around you to get ready for the next sitting. We couldn't understand why they had to install this as if they could sit everyone at breakfast surly they could do the same at dinner ? Not everyone comes down at the same time? The food was nice with a good variation at breakfast and choice of meat and fish and vegetarian dishes each evening. Tuesday was BBQ night and also The Managers cocktail party which was really nice where the manager introduced themselves and the team to the guests with free flowing drinks! No real problem with sunbed reserving if anyone did leave towels the pool attendant left a note on the towels if they were left for any period of time unlike the hotel next door where my husband and I enjoyed watching at the crack of dawn, people running to bag 'their' beds and leaving towels! 😂 Will definitely return! 😍👙🌞More
