Families have it covered at Alzinar Mar – there’s a choice of pools, plus a slide-filled splash zone for kids.
It’s the pool that steals the show at the Alzinar Mar Hotel – it weaves through the grounds and comes with a kids’ splash zone next to it. Location-wise, you’re a 10-minute walk to Ca’n Picafort’s sandy beach, shops and restaurants.
Family-friendly apartments make up the accommodation at this place. They come kitted out with kitchenettes so you can prepare meals in your room, but there’s a restaurant and snack bar in the resort, too.

Would definitly return
We stayed here for 2 lovely weeks. The accommodation was exactly as expected and as it appears in photo's. It was clean and maids came everyday apart from Sunday, The Hotel is in easy walking distance from the beach and the supermarket is next door. There are 2 lovely swimming pools, one is fully shaded and quiet, a great place to relax. The other is huge with a smaller shallow area for little ones, there are plenty of sunbeds available and we enjoyed many days by the pool. There are plenty of poolside activities on offer throughout the day which is great for both kids and adults. There's also lots of evening entertainment. The bar staff were friendly and made great Cocktails which were all reasonable in price. All rooms overlook the pool, it was lovely starting the day with a cup of tea on the balcony. The T.V only really played German shows. The rooms were just as in the photos, a little dated in décor but clean. The maids were lovely...a real credit to the hotel. We visited in August 17 and were unaware of a festival taking place. The festival was great and there was a fireworks display down by the sea. Unfortunately part of this festival was an all night rave in the building next to the hotel. This meant one night with absolutely no sleep which wiped us out for the next day. This however is not a reflection on the Hotel but may be worth checking if this is taking place during your stay. Would definitely reccomend.More
Dated rooms but lovely resort
We arrived at the hotel at 2am one of the last to be dropped off on the coach so bear that in mind regarding transfers (Jumbo Transfers). We were disappointed with the room as quite dated. Far too much heavy dark wood furniture in the space. Not sure who did the colour coordination, orange curtains, brown covers on sofa & a few pink cushions. There was a put you up type bed in the sitting area (only me & my wife), a table & chairs, sofa, heavy chest of drawers with a flat screen television on top. This is laid out for self catering with fridge etc.We asked at reception for a kettle which they supplied. The second room - a bedroom had plenty of hanging space for your clothes with 2 single beds a heavy chest of drawers with a mirror above for the ladies. The walls were white which to me was a shame as with a bit of thought & colour change could have revitalised this 70's look room . The bathroom was an over bath shower which continually backed up so you showered standing in about 4" of water . We did ask at reception & the handyman turned up with his plunger which helped for a day & then returned to backing up .There was access to the waste but that never got cleared which showed the age of the plumbing. Plenty of hot water so a good shower. We did ask for a move but the alternative offered was worse, we may have been unlucky as the rooms on the opposite side got the sun. Air con was very noisy rather like a jet engine powering up & that was next doors as ours didnt work. The staff were very friendly and the hotel extremely clean. The hotel is located in a quiet spot with approx 10 minute walk to the seafront and night life. Breakfast was great & the dining area absolutely fine . The outside space was great, with cedar decking & lots of sun beds . Pool quite chilly but once you got past the nippy water was smashing. We stayed B&B so went out for evening meal which can be expensive along the sea front . The return journey to the airport with Jumbo transfers took 3 hours & 20 minutes as they went all over the place to pick up travellers so avoid this (Flight only just over 2 hours !!) Would I return to this hotel, very unlikely but the local area is quite appealing. Mercadonna supermarket right next door.More
Most things were 'good'. Nothing special but a very nice stay.
I went to Alzinar Mar with my girlfriend for 10 nights in mid September. We arrived at the hotel about two hours after leaving the airport. We arrived an hour after dinner finished but they opened up the restaurant for our 'private buffet'. A few bits of cold meat and salad but at least it was something! We took a wonder down to the coast in the morning which takes about 5 minutes. The promenade is nice in Ca'n Picafort with a lovely walk to the beach of Son Baulo (Great beach!) Also lots of restaurants, bars and restaurants on the promenade. With regards to our room, it was nice to have a separate lounge/kitchen as well as a bedroom. Pretty basic but nice enough with a pool view on the balcony. Air con was good but the fridge wasn't very cold. However, there is a little freezer if you want to give a drink a quick blast chill. The pool area was probably the best bit. Big pool with lots of free sun loungers to choose from at any time of the day. With regards to the restaurant, the food was good at breakfast and dinner. Quite a good range but nothing to get too excited about. A couple of the waitresses could do with a bit of cheering up but most were nice enough. Animation team were good for the kids staying but the man, John I think his name was, needs to stop nagging people to join in with stuff during the day and evening. I understand asking a couple of times but he needs to learn when to let people get on with their holiday how they want to spend it. All in all, a very nice stay and would definitely recommend it as it is good value for money. Ca'n picafort itself was very nice and only a short bike ride/bus journey to Alcudia. I definitely recommend hiring bikes from the hotel as they were great value for money. Only £5 for the day I think.More
Dated rooms with nice pool
A nice Hotel but dated , swimming pool was of a good size , all rooms with balcony overlooked the pool . Air con was good . Entertainment was ok nothing special. It was 15 minute walk to the beach with a lovely promenade you can walk for miles both ways . Nice sandy beach . Food was ok . good choice for breakfast but evening meal was repetitive and cheese was rubbery ,More
