This place makes a great holiday base – it’s got a family-friendly pool and packed activity line-up, plus the beach and town centre are a 10-minute walk away.
The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Ca’n Picafort’s laidback bars and restaurants. You’ll find a beach there, too. If you don’t fancy walking, a mini-train stops outside the hotel, which takes you into the centre.
Rooms here are kept simple, but comfortable. You’ll find a mini-fridge for storing snacks, a TV and balcony – some even come with sea views.

Good but few minor issues.
I am on holiday right now in this hotel and my holiday so far has been quite good but there is quite a lot of noise because of the kids but that isnt really the hotels fault. I am in room 5*1 and the wifi is quite good but outside it is not very good like it was hard just to get one bar but right now i have 2-3. We had a delay on flight so missed the cold buffet which was a bit of a bummer. The entertainment was really good by the pool like aqua gym and pool polo and even pool bingo which was very fun even if you just watched it. The beach is quite a long walk and if its a warm day (36 degrees) it isnt bearable. The food doesnt really change at all so my daughter just had chips and burgers because she doesn't really like that much. The bar was very good and the staff were extremely nice and there was an excellent amount of choice for drinks. We ended up going to the same bar every night because there was barely anything around apart from trotters which was amazing.More
Another wonderful holiday at the Haiti, such lovely staff have been 6 times previously and booked yesterday again for next year so I think that says a lot about what a great holiday we have year after year, this year the addition of the relaxing pool was such a bonus, but going back to the hotel every year seeing the wonderful staff who are more like friends now is brilliant, cant praise the location, staff and hotel enough always come back relaxed and rechargedMore
It got very crowded
Spent 2 weeks here from 14 to 28 July. Quick flight and easy through customs. Thompson reps herded us to our transfers. The transfer was without a rep and so we had no idea about orders of drop offs etc. We were lucky and our transfers were 1 hour 20 going and 55 minutes back to the airport. Be warned some were 2 1/2 hours longer than the flight. Reception was very polite and efficient. You have to pay a tourist tax 28 euros for 2 of us for 14 nights. The safe cost 26 euros for 2 weeks and you get 3 euros back. The food was plentiful and very good. There was always something to eat. I particularly enjoyed the pigs cheeks. Lots of variety for all ages and nationalities and tastes. Very impressed with the lack of flies around the food and the self-service drinks option. The staff worked quickly and tirelessly to clean the tables ready for the next diners. There was always something for everyone. The room was great for 2 people with lots of wardrobe space and shelving. The beds were hard and the sheets clean. The maids were excellent and gave us extra pillows and cleaned daily to a high standard. The balcony was adequate and the bathroom was ok except the shower had a mind of its own and sprayed everywhere unless you held it down. Great water pressure though and soaked the bathroom every timeThe sinks were very shallow and useless to rise out swimwear. Outside space was at a premium and very sort after. The first week was relatively full and quiet but the second week the hotel was nearly twice as full and the was not enough space outside. They need more sunbeds, tables and umbrellas to accommodate all the guests. Sunbed wars at dawn. This is fine if peoe use then but at times the beds were reserved at 7am and not used til 2pm. Very poor. The bar staff were exceptional and worked there socks off. There were some queues but they went down quickly. The drinks were very generous and at times lethal in strength. Lots of variety and always a smile on their faces. Animation tried hard and day time entertainment was fine. Night time was poor and let the hotel down. The area is lovely and 8 minutes to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. We would not return to the hotel but for the price we paid it was great value and good for families.More
Amazing holiday, at an amazing hotel!
Me and my girlfriend have just come back from an amazing holiday at Hotel Haiti for the past 2 weeks. We cannot believe this is only a 3 star hotel, as we and many other people we spoke to at the hotel believed it should absolutely be a 4 star! Good Points: - Excellent Location. Only a few minutes walk away from the beach, bars, restaurants, shops and even a few clubs for the night owls like us and some of the friends we made! - Great beach. The beach may be very thin, but it goes on for miles so plenty of room if you take a walk down. It has white sand and amazing clear blue sea that is warm and amazing to swim in. Sun beds and umbrellas available to hire. Also an awesome inflatable assault course in the sea which we highly recommend, as well as the chance to do things like banana boat, boat trips and parasailing which we did and loved! - Pool. The hotel had 2 different pools to choose from. One pool was a smaller, quiet chill out pool for adults only, which did the job very well and was extremely quiet! The second pool is the main pool. It is huge, plenty of room for everyone (including inflatables!), very deep and has a children's area which is sectioned off. Both pools were also a perfect temperature to cool down in the boiling sun! Loads of sun beds to go round, and if not, plenty of room to lay on the grass which we did lots with no problem! - Day time activities. Plenty of day time activities for children and adults organised by the Suneo entertainment staff including water polo, darts, killer pool and water aerobics. - Hotel staff. All amazing and never seemed to stop! The entertainment team worked hard all day and all night, bar staff always very quick at serving and very friendly, reception gave us the nicest welcome on arrival, holiday reps work long hours answering any questions we had, restaurant staff always ensured no food ever ran out and were very quick at cleaning tables and cleaners cleaned our room making beds and changing towels everyday (put the towels in the bath for them to be changed!) - Room. We stayed in a double room which consisted of two single beds pushed together. The room was extremely modern featuring a TV and mini fridge for personal use. Nice decor, large wardrobe (containing a safe if wanted) and a very clean bathroom. Air con worked extremely well or alternatively the large balcony doors could be opened. Due to the layout of the hotel the majority of rooms have a pool view and many have a sea view. No rooms on the ground floor and easy access to all floors via lifts or stairs. - Food. Now food falls into both the good and bad side of this holiday. The restaurant opened 3 times a day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Between breakfast and dinner, there was a snack bar, serving small things like burgers, pizza, chips and a freezer full of ice-creams all day and night! As mentioned before, the buffet trays were never empty, always kept stocked up. Plenty of room to eat, and even an outside area to the restaurant. The drinks were self service which we thought was great, much quicker than waiting for a waiter to get them, and also lets the staff focus on keeping the place clean and organised. There is a live cooking area, doing omelettes, pancakes and fried egg in the morning, and meat and fish at dinner and lunch. - Bar. As said before, great bar staff, quick service and mostly friendly faces! Absolutely loads of all inclusive choice for drinks, including spirits, a beer on tap, soft drinks, milkshakes, hot drinks, slushes, and lots of cocktails! Just beware that a the spirit ratio to soft drink is about 50/50... if not maybe even more spirit than soft drink, so take it easy!! (You can have things like strawberry vodka instead to lighten the sting!) Rules state that it is 2 drinks per person however this rule was not stuck to! Children however were often limited to 1 drink each. - Price. The price was insane! It was so much cheaper than others we looked at, and looked so much better than others we looked at! Booking this hotel is a no brainer for this reason alone. Bad Points: - Distance from airport. It is opposite side of the island which takes over an hour to get to, depending on stops and traffic, but this is absolutely worth putting up with, as it is the best looking hotel we saw out of all the stops! - Thompson day trips. We took a trip to Aqualand through Thompson, and it cost us a gobsmacking €91 for us both to go!!! (It is only €24 each for entry when we looked online, so this is a massive difference for the travel) We decided to take the hit and go with them... only to find out the coach on the way back was picking us up 2 and a half hours before the park closed!... After paying €91 we were not happy to say the least. We still had a great day at the park itself, and managed to go on most of what we wanted, (we just had to always be in a mega rush!) just be warned about booking through Thompson, and maybe see if there is any stalls selling trips there instead. We also spoke to a couple who went on the caves of Drach trip, who said it was absolutely packed, to the point they couldn't even get any photos, and again was a very short day. - Food. The only problem we had with the food (with us being rather fussy eaters) was the variety. There was always a lot of salad and puddings however with the main dishes we found there to be a lot of fish (which we don't like). There was always the freshly cooked grilled meat which changed nightly along with another meat dish in a sauce. These were then always accompanied with pasta, chips, burgers and 2 vegetable dishes. After staying for 2 weeks its fair to say we got bored of a piece of meat, vegetables and chips! A wider variety of dishes and a bigger change every night was definitely needed. We did however never go hungry and if you fancy a change there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants along the beach! - Evening entertainment. Every evening had the mini disco which was brilliant for the little ones however the adults show was something we did not always enjoy! For the 2 weeks that we stayed, they only had 3 outside acts come in and perform, and unfortunately only one was okay... Some nights they did games that involved everyone which was fun, and the karaoke was a laugh, but some nights they did 'cocktail shows' which was the entertainers putting on their own show. It wasn't really that good at all, but I guess they are doing there best to come up with all these different shows because the hotel won't get actual entertainment acts in! Overall it was a really awesome holiday that we will always remember, and it was massively thanks to this Hotel. I would recommend it without a doubt, only a few little things let it down very slightly. We would definitely go back again and recommend it to both couples and families!More
