On arrival felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. However we were a short walk away from the beach and shops. Hotel was immaculate and rooms were clean and convenient. Food and drink were fairly priced but would recommend all inclusive. Value for money. All staff were friendly. We went out of season weather was great however town was very quiet and not all restraunts, bars and shops were open. We intend to go back again out of season due to thinking the hotel will be very busy in high season and not relaxing as out of season. On site shop was disappointing only open for a few hours and not much variety and stock. ( was always running out of bread)More
Children loved it, happy kids = happy parents
Just a short review, because most of it has already been said. We went Easter with 2 children 8 and 3. Both absolutely loved it it. 8 year old loved the daily football, the pools and the play area. 3 year old loved the play area, the pirate ship pool and the junior disco with duffo. Both kids liked the food. Adults loved the food and the range of drinks included in AI. The apartments very spacious and comfortable Lots of staff being very attentive. Special mention for Manuel in the bar for speedy service with a smile. A very special mention for Junior of the entertainment/ kids club team for being brilliant with my our son all week. He keeps asking when we can go back. Thank you Junior and all your colleagues. A couple of notes, Can picafort is not a big resort so we found All inclusive the best option, a few families we met whilst there upgraded to AI after a couple of days. If booking through expedia, DON'T use MTS for transfers from Palma. They advertised it as 1 hour but it took nearly 3 going via everywhere before dropping of in can picafort. On arrival at hotel after midnight, having landed in Palma at 20:30, the guy on check in was efficient, understanding and got us to our room quickly and helpfully.More
Great hotel ..... :-)
Viva Can Picafort is a well laid out hotel with lots of facilities to entertain my 2 sons ( 14 & 11 ) with excellent pools and Pendulum slide. One of the pools has a WET BUBBLE which is a bit like a trampoline effect climb up bubble and you slide off into the water below. We visited Easter for 5 days and although the pools were cold the weather was fantastic. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach which is flat and clear blue water. The downside to this area at Easter is the lack of restaurants and some shops not being open as it's too early in the season. We went To Viva Sunrise in Alcudia for 3 days after this and it was the same there but there's more to do in Port Alcudia. Avoid room 5006 as it's ground floor and the balcony smells of cats. We moved the following day to 1st floor room 5104 which had the sun from 2pm right through to sunset. Apartments are clean and quite spacious with kitchen being almost hidden away in the corner. The complex is really well looked after but if you're the type of traveller that likes to watch the evening entertainment with younger children then remember Can Picafort is very German orientated and as such cater for their language. It didn't bother us as we went S/C and spent our evenings out of the complex. All in all a great VIVA hotel!!More
