Good place for kids
Food was very good, excellent choice. Coffee was not great. Pools very good. Had to queue in morning to get kids name on a list with Falcon/Thompson for the kids club. Music very loud on stage just below all apartment balconies from 7.30pm approx. to 11pm + approx. Kids had great time.More
top hotel and a town worth visiting.
We visited sa coma the last week of September 2016, we had 10 month old and 3 year old , as it was me and my wife's first trip away with the kids we were a bit apprehensive . We booked coma gran and had a great experience in the hotel, we went self catering and had dinner a couple of nights in the hotel, if I was going again I would go full board especially with kids as they have a great variety to choose from and it's really good. The hotel is great with kids club and shows every evening plenty of facilities ,everywhere is spotless and staff are great especially the Thomson staff (ben). The beach is 2 min walk from the hotel, beautiful clean beach , we walked up to the castle which was good and it's free we went to cala millor a day and there is a really good park there for kids â¬5.00 in a taxi gets you there and it's got plenty of shops . For a pint we went to the music bar beside the hotel â¬2 for a pint of stellar or fosters, Kennas bar is worth a visit and if you want a nice dinner our lunch reasonably priced I'd recommend happy cafe across the street from the hotel.More
Nice hotel but limited space around pool
We stayed here during the summer. We had a lovely time. There was a kiddies club and the staff were excellent and the kids completely safe. The football pitch was small. Entertainment in the evening time was good but not much interaction with the audience. *The pool area is mainly why I would not return to this hotel, it is far too small for the amount of people during the summer and pool itself is not large by any means especially when adult activities were on the afternoon it was claustrophobic. Looking back on my photos the other day And seeing how busy the pool was. People racing for sun loungers at 6.30/7am. Beaches are beautiful. Not much shopping, came home buying nothing which was a first!! Felt v restricted on restaurants compared to other holiday destinations. More
We had a lovely week here from 19th Oct, even though this is a family hotel and very child friendly we had a great time and loved every min. The hotel is only 2 mins from a lovely beach, the area is beautiful. The hotel it's self is very clean, the staff are friendly and can't do enough for you, the food is AMAZING!! Would we go back again with the children and or without? Yes without doubt!! Brilliant More
Lovely staff ! Pool too small for hotel !
We stayed here in Aug - myself and my husband and our 6 year old twin boy and girl. Hotel itself is lovely and clean. Staff in restaurant and kids team work hard and are lovely. The staff at hotel pool could do with smiling a bit more and a bit more interaction with kids would be good as sometimes they were ignored when asking for soft drinks which was sad to see. Pool - small for the amount of guests in peak season and loungers are very close together. I had read reviews about not being able to get loungers if you just went to pool in morning as they are all reserved with towels as people crazily reserved them at 6.30 in morning when pool opened. I went to the gym one morning and was surprised to see a queue of approximately 20 people with towels waiting for pool doors to open ! Crazy ! You come on holiday to relax so to have to queue to put towels out so early is ludicrous especially when there were signs up all around the pool saying reserving beds was not allowed- this was never enforced and many pool workers were around early to see this happening - something definitely needs to be done about this ! Transfer from airport - we were told the wrong bus to get onto and ended up having heated discussion with driver which upset my daughter as he wasn't going to take us to our correct hotel ! How were we to get there ! Not the best start ! They promote the Thea coffee shop as something great but the coffee isn't very good .. I'm a regular visitor of coffee shops and if you are looking to enjoy a latte or cappuccino you will be disappointed! Wifi - good SPA -book in advance as you are unable to book on the day for treatments as they have to get someone in as it's not manned daily - this was disappointing as being on holiday it's nice to be able to do things adoc especially treating yourself to a nice massage - I didn't end up booking anything so can't comment on what it was like. Kids entertainment- excellent ! My daughter loved download 611 and the kids team were great, very kids focused and Thomson the dog was a hit - loved the healthy eating cards for kids - they got a sticker every time they tried something new or ate something healthy ! Beach lovely and only 5 minutes away. My son loves football and they had a pitch which again was a hit! We went on a trip to Valdamossa which was beautiful! Overall it was a nice holiday however I was disappointed that we weren't able to spend as much time at the pool due to not being able to get any sun loungers, the 2 times we did we were sitting like sardines and if you are thinking of swimming a few lengths to cool off forget it in the summer hols as the pool is quite small (for size of hotel) and packed ! Kids pool area was nice but water very cold ! More
