After a 2 hour transfer we were weary, hotel looked great, we had booked a studio room, reception was beautiful, staff are brilliant. However when we got to our room 121, we didn't mind it being dated, but the doors and architrave were water damaged, there were long bits of wood hanging off the doors, there was a 2 ring hob, with the availability to cook, NO SMOKE ALARM, NO FIRE BLANKET, there were pots and pans, but they were disgusting, under the sink I wouldn't even have put a bin in there it was so awful. All the furniture looked like it came out of a skip. I needed wifi for which I paid â¬15 but had NO SIGNAL, I was told I was connected which I was, but had NO SIGNAL, what bit didn't they understand? We had patio doors that didn't open easily, hence if there had been a fire!! We complained, have heard absolutely nothing from the company, they had our money and now are ignoring our problems. I gave them chance to respond to me before we came back so I didn't have to write this review, but not happy, paid quite a lot for the disgusting room, never again!! Have now uploaded photos, tell me you would stay in this!!More
Better than thought
Stayed bouganvilla for 8 days in may 2017....arrived late and honestly thought are we in middle of nowhere....next day realised everyone uses back gate to leave hotel.....used tradys supermarket for goodies....reasonably priced....especially bread cheese meat etc ....only had 1 meal at pool snack bar kids enjoyed it.....beers at pool around 3 euros ....hotel was quiet first few days got busier as by then into middle of may.....great location for "square " Nice restaurants & bars close by especially el jardin & el vivo.... We had superior 2 bedroom very modern & clean ....towels at least every 2 days sheets were changed after 6 days Carmen on the reception is a credit...always happy to help & answer questions Entertainment team we're ok nice people probably wasn't helped by hotel being quiet Lifeguard was very friendly approachable took time to talk Would recommend bouganvilla for cheap self catering.....but definitely choose superior room More
Not the best place to stay
I've waited a couple of days before composing this review. It was the worst place I have stayed. The studio room was basic at best, very limited equipment, a broken can opener as the bottle opener, a fridge that was so noisy, the furniture was old a tatty, the bed was ok. Several shuttle buses stopped at the end of the road 150meters away, there was insufficent car parking infront of the hotel, but more behind the hotel, not good if you are leaving early in the morning as the rear door is locked and we were advised to walk round the block to the car with luggage There were two old small lifts that rattled and clattered and even broke down Then there was the noise from fellow guests, the room was like an echo chamber, so you could hear everything from the neighbors, Some of whom had parties till two and three in the morning, with all the noise that ensues from such activities. However during the day there was "entertainment" around the pool which always was accompanied with very loud music, all to an audience of about twenty people whilst all other guests had to endure the noise or better still leave the hotel and enjoy the local sites and beauty The staff were friendly and pleasant, but I wont go back thereMore

Overall a lovely hotel
We stayed at this hotel last week for 7 days, very nice overall, was worried about the building work to the front when we arrived, but this did not cause any dust or noise at all. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.Plenty of sun beds and a two very nice pools. Close to all amenities , just a few minutes walk to the square.plenty of great places to eat and drink. My only complaint if you can call it that was the cleaning of the rooms, which by the way were lovely, we had a superior studio, our room was only cleaned once in the week, and the sheets were not changed at all, i do think they should have been done at least once. But overall we would recommend this hotel, the high light was seeing the handsome manager !!! lol.More
