Mixed views of our holiday.
Positives- the hotel is clean, rooms are a decent size and have all been recently renovated so well presented. Beds are comfortable. There is sufficient cooking facilities for those guests on a self catering basis. The staff are great, very attentive and hardworking. Food is fine, as to be expected in AI resort but good variation and choice. The entertainment team are lovely with the children. There are steps to the upper floors but we didn't find this a problem, however stair wells are narrow so worth baring in mind if you have a buggy. There was always sun beds available. The hotel is well located and only a few minutes walk to the shops pubs and the beach. Negatives- there was a storm due to a heatwave on day 2 of our holiday. This caused a huge power failure which lasted 4 days. This resulted in no air con, kitchen closures and limited drinks (water, juice) It also affected the water pressure so unable to use the showers and the pool filters stopped working. Staff both in and out of the hotel were slow to address issues and inconsistencies in information being given out and recompenses being offered/handed out. This resulted in a large amount of money being spent which we hadn't anticipated having booked all inclusive. The pool can feel quite crowded as it is not large and by the time it is filled with large inflatables there is not much room. The kids entertainment ends at 1.30pm and I felt the shows in the evening were too late- starting at 10pm. More
Had a great stay. Food fantastic Alberto in restaurant and other staff always made sure we were ok for drinks and asked on numerous occasions if we needed refils. We went with another family and was always seated next to each other. Pool bar was good with quick service and loads of sunbeds entertainment nowt special but didn't effect us and rooms were modern and fresh nice and clean. Great Base to explore the beautiful santa ponsa. Not far from all the Action and beautiful beach will definitely return👍More
Great place for family holiday
We stayed a week in this hotel 23 July to 30 July. Staff were very welcoming our room was very clean, shower brill so was air con! All staff worked so hard and always had a smile and time to have a chat with you. We were there the night of power cut and we found the staff very understanding and sorry for what had happened which was out of their hands. Food was fantastic always something different each night and snacks from pool bar were great also, plenty of sun beds and yes if you wanted a poolside bed you go early to put towel down but we always found sun bed! Entertainment was very poor in evening but it didn't bother us as we would go for a walk in evenings into Santa ponsa after dinner. I would recommend this hotel!More
Some good, some bad
Good points - Check-in was easy and quick. Rooms were great, big and spacey with good air con and great showers too which made a difference. Staff were very nice and the whole complex was very clean. Decent pool, great selection of drinks at the bar. Staff also very helpful when renting a car. Improvements needed - food was repetitive and you had to order drinks even though we were AI. There was a power cut one night and the reception staff seemed very stressed about it - snapping at customers isn't going to help. Poor bits - the young lad on the entertainment team seriously needs training. Physically man-handling children is not right. Dragging them off sunbeds after they've said no, shaking them by the shoulders, grabbing them in headlocks and holding them underwater. Totally unacceptable. And then the children's disco on a night time was just shambolic and abysmal. The elder entertainer was great, but the young lad not so.More
Got a cold welcome when we checked in at midnight. Understand staff might be tired but I imagine not as tired as us after a whole day traveling with a small kid moaning. Anyway, room was ok. Nothing to shout about but had a fair bit of space and was clean. Thought the hotel was going to be set up better for families. There was some entertainment but my son didn't like it and the food was very basic and none of us liked it. We are not used to eating chips everyday. Not enough sunbeds for everyone either round the pool area which was a shame as the pool was nice and clean to use. Woken up by noisy drunk people a few times as well so this is not somewhere we enjoyed staying.More
