Sea views don’t come much better than at this clifftop hotel – and the infinity pool is a great place to enjoy them.
Sea views come as standard at this clifftop hotel, and there’s a courtesy bus to the beach if you don’t fancy the 20-minute walk. There are some shops, bars and restaurants a little nearer as well.
The hotel has two main pools, one of which is an infinity number. On top of the buffet restaurant, there’s a poolside place with two themed options on offer – both venues have great sunset views.

Just back from Riu Vistamar
We were at the Vistamar from 5/1/17 to 16/1/17 the weather was very good with sunshine every day and temperatures up to 27 degs However due to the Hotel being high up it was rather windy on a few days. The Hotel is to close in April for refurbishment. We found the Hotel very smart and clean with only a few areas needing refurbishment. The two pools were warm enough to swim and very clean, there was a lifeguard but didn't seem to interested in saving lives !! The Hotel animation team were great and always trying to entertain you, there night shows were full of energy and enthusiasm. The food was fantastic with every choice you could wish for, you could also choose the smaller specialty restaurant, they had two sittings for food with an allocated table during your stay. If any food ran out it was soon replaced with more, for breakfasts we sat up at the pool bar and again the choice was faultless. During the day you could get all sorts of drinks and snacks with lovely cakes later in the day. If your weight conceous all I can say is prepare to diet on your return. The staff at the Hotel were again very polite and helpful and would do anything for you. All in all a superb holiday I would recommend and at the price we paid a definite bargain. We will definitely be going back More
Beautiful location, good food, serviceminded personel
All rooms with full oceanview, no noise from the sea, very quiet, nicely decorated rooms and bathrooms....Lovely poolareas, also a nice quiet sundeck where drinks were served. The all inclusive food was very good and fresh with a wide variety of fruits and salads. Original liquors in the bar was served upon request, but the wine could have been better. Convenient busservice to the beach every hour, or a 25 minutes walk down a quit steep road. Entertainment at night could be better....More
Had a nice short stay at Riu Vistamar. The hotel has great views of beach below. There is a free shuttle bus provided down to the beach, which was great because it's a fairly steep descend down! We had no hassle trying to find a sun lounger in the sun and away from the breeze. All the staff were polite and attentive. The drinks went down a treat and the fish dishes in the restaurant were ever so tasty. The hotel can do with an update which is apparently happening later this year.More
Hotel where children take their parents for a holiday
This was my second holiday at this hotel, the first was approx. 10 years ago. We stayed 29/12 to 12/1/17, we emailed hotel 2 weeks before arrival and asked for a high floor room with sun on balcony and had a swift reply saying they would try to help but we should have emailed sooner. Hotel â outdated needs refurbishment especially the main bar area looks like an old picture house â reportedly being closed for refurbishment this year. Menâs toilets in reception, 1 urinal out of operation for the 2 weeks we stayed and hand driers not working very well. Pool bar toilet hand drier not working had to dry hands with toilet paper. Hand sanitizers everywhere which was good. Lifts 7 lifts in total, one for disabled, always full had to use stairs most of time. Cleaners were excellent though, very thorough. They have a solarium sun terrace on 9th floor which was ok but venting system from kitchen expelled on this area and smell wasnât very nice. Rooms â we had a 4th floor room facing sea, no sun at all. Go for rooms from 01 to 30, they get the sun during the morning and afternoon. Beds very hard, rooms have TV, limited British channels, fridge and free safe, towels changed daily and beds remade. Beware of air conditioning vents in rooms, on last day found ours full of fluff/debris. Drinks â plentiful and named brands if you ask for them, you can serve yourself with wine and beer hot and cold drinks no need to go to bars. Cava very nice 11.5% proof. All-inclusive from 10.30 until midnight. Food â Plenty of choice but most of the time the hot food was lukewarm, a lot of people were waiting for cooks to cook the meat/fish so they could get it onto their plates rather than take it out of the dishes that they were in. The cooked food was kept under a heat lamp, soon went cool quite quickly. Restaurant had themed nights. You are allocated a time slot for evening meal either 6.30 or 8.30 and have an allocated table. Men were wearing shorts in dining room even though rules stated long trousers. There were too many children running around blocking people in dining areas and a lot of the times the adults were just as bad, you would be carrying food back to your table and the person in front would just stop. Food at pool bar very poor choice especially burger and hot dogs no taste and cold. They did a paella cooking exhibition there and food was lovely. It was cooked by 1pm and then served, they still had some in dish at counter at 4pm, not very hygienic. Entertainment â very poor geared around children, entertainment team need changing and entertainment needs drastically improving, we went out 11 nights out of 14. Karaoke from 8pm, and then sometimes an act on or entertainment team doing poor acts. WIFI â free in reception and bar and pool areas but restricted to 2 pieces of equipment per room Staff â very friendly and helpfulMore
