4th time here!
I go to Gran Canaria because i am allergic to mosquito bites, never ever have i been bit here before, but on arrival we were put in a room on the same floor as reception, which was what i requested, we were put in room 2302 (never forget that number walk-in shower) within the space of 5 hours i had 9 bites, which resulted in 9 (massive) blisters, asked reception to spray the room, 5 hours later they could not tell me if the room was sprayed, asked to see the manager, a young polish girl (who ignored me the rest of our holiday) and tried to deflect the situation with a massage in their Spa|||| On departure we booked a courtesy room waited for 40 minutes - no room - to be told could we use the spa facilities (which consisted of a shower cubicle in the spa) This used to be my first choice holiday every year but now F@c& no wayXXXMore
A good hotel with a high standard of customer service. Food was of an expected standard as was the room. All inclusive package worked well. A few little moans, Room AC could not cope, management told us they would charge for a fan of we wanted one. All inclusive finished at 12 although we were not getting picked up until 4, a bit sharp compared with others we had been on. Sunbed blocking never addressed. Dress code never enforced for evening meals. No on site a la carter, it's a taxi ride away. One big plus was the entertainment which was very good.More

Great Service and Great Location
This was our second visit and was again prompted by a good deal from Jet2 holiday packages. We knew the hotel would offer an upgrade to all inclusive and once again it proved the best value route. All credit to the very efficient smiling desk staff for getting it sorted when requested. Great bunch. We had emailed ahead to ask for a room as high as possible in blocks 1 or 3 and that is what we got. These blocks get the afternoon sun on the room terrace whereas block 2 and 4 do not due to their curvature away from the setting sun. Conversely, blocks 2 and 4 are cooler if you like the air con to work more effectively. Up to you - having sampled both I would go with blocks 2 and 4 in the hottest summer months and blocks 1 and 3 in the winter. My wife (sun lizard) favours the opposite way round. Two pool terraces. Last year - encouraged by the hotel, the upper terrace was quieter with less children, ball throwing adults/eejits and floating alligators/unicorns/armchairs. This year it was more of a free for all. I preferred last year. Can I suggest to the management they have the lifeguard take a more active role in pool control. Learn to live with morning (07.30 am) sunbed reservations by getting the towels out early - tons of beds - but ironically the majority seem to stay unoccupied until about 10.30am - some unoccupied till 3.00 pm. We saw one hotel in Turkey where towels were removed after 90 mins of non-occupancy. Apoplexy ensues but great spectator sport was had - I found cheering adds to the (my) fun. One more suggestion - we all need water - have a waiter go round handing out cold water about 10.30am - it would cut down on queuing at the bar and I could get my morning Cava(s) faster. Fun aside - service levels everywhere were great and all done with good humour - a credit to the hotel. They act as a team ( a word they often use) and back that up by great follow up when you need something extra. We were looking forward to our sundowner G&T's which we remembered from last year on the lower terrace bar - Copas Grande, twist of lemon for the oils and slice for the acidity, Gordons Gin, tons of ice and Nordic bottled tonic. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was once again excellent in all respects. Super choices and plenty of it. We used the terrace when we could - very popular - but had no qualms about sitting inside if need be - hate queuing. Last but not least - a big thank you to Sandra for looking after our room for the 11 days - great work.More
Spent first two weeks of June in this hotel. We loved it. Special mention to the saxophonist by the pool and the violinist at dinner. Our room was lovely with amazing views. Pilar our maid kept it spotless and made sure we had plenty of water, tea and coffee. Staff were all very friendly and the animation team did an amazing job. Their energy was endless. Food was lovely with plenty of choice. We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Jane and Derek ReardonMore
