stunning appartments, bad pool scene
such good quality appartments - best we have stayed in on the island to be honest.Air con is amazing and the veranda was huge with table and chairs for 4 ppl and 2 loungers. There is even an oven which is great! BUT....... Pool is teeny, tiny (think swim spa size, maybe a tad bigger) and the bar shuts at 6pm prompt. We like a good pool so this was annoying. Quiet as a mouse, we literally spoke to nobody else the whole time we were on the complex. 15 mon walk to Europa - up hill (slight incline all the way, we dont walk, lazy people, typical office workers) doable in the mornings but would be hard work in the hot sun. Spar is in Europa and very cheap. We walked up the first morning and did a big 50Euro shop and got lots of bits in so we didnt have to carry stuff back all the time - better than bitting and bobing. Little shop on site ok for last min. We used the free bus to beach - great addition and the guy driving is lovely. Lots of people walked to the beach - we never had any intention too - we like to lay down on holiday. We booked last min and was limited as to where to stay. It is lovely but just a bit too far out (for the beach/walk to Puerto Rico) the pool scene was not good enough and it was too quiet. But if these things dont bother you, you will have a wonderful time. The staff are really nice too.More
Small and friendly
Hotel is situated on a steep hillside. Courtesy bus runs several times a day and taxis from the beach cost around 3euros. Reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a small mini market on site but a bigger one about five minutes walk downhill. Just be aware that if you arrive later in the evening, the mini market closes at about 7.30 and the reception at 8 so it is not easy to get supplies. The nearest restaurants are down on the beach. There is a pool bar which serves excellent food and the cheapest glasses of decent wine but it is closed in the evening. Our room had a superb view and a large balcony. We did not have any sun loungers on the balcony as some other rooms did. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge area comfortable. The bed was comfortable although the pillows were not so good. The linen was changed frequently as were the towels although we were a little disappointed with the quality of the bathroom towels. The apartment was very clean and the room maids worked very hard and were very friendly. I personally did not like the air con being in the sitting area rather than the bedroom. I note that dogs were allowed in some apartments. What makes this place work above all else is the attitude and helpfulness of all the staff, reception, maids, bar staff, driver, maintenance and security.More

Lovely Relaxing Holiday
visited 3rd June 2017 for a week - lovely modern, spacious apartment - balcony even has sun loungers and parasol - perfect for relaxing anytime of day - large fridge/freezer- microwave - toaster - kettle - oven etc and even washing machine. There is a free safe -(a rarity we have not come across before) - hairdryer in bathroom - they even provided washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels. The staff are very friendly and helpful - we arrived around 10 pm and was met at the gate by a young man and security guard - the young man took us right to our room door, helped with cases and ensured we were okay before he left us. The reception closes as 8 pm each night but you are given your own key to the gate and there is security on 24/7, who again were always polite and friendly. You can also hire beach towels for 10 euro deposit which is refunded and towels can be exchanged as often as needed. Bed was comfortable and we had no issue with a good nights sleep. The apartments have air-con. The resort itself is quiet, but ideal for anyone wanting to relax and chill out. The pool is very small and not deep - about shoulder height at the deep end, but ideal for a quick dip to cool off - there is no issue with having to save sunbeds as there are ample available and this is not an issue. We went self catering but you can pay for breakfast (3 options from 3.95 euro to 7.95 euro) and can also have room service with food delivered to your apartment (menu in your room) we did not use this facility so cannot advise on this, The apartments are situated mid-way up an hill with beach / shops / restaurants down the hill which are located mainly in a semi-circle on the beach itself - however if you go left and up the hill from the apartments, then at the top take a right, which not only gives you stunning views of Puerto Rico, but if you carry on the top road you will come to the Europa Shopping complex which is situated over 2 floors and includes supermarkets (Spar is more value for money) shops and restaurants - and further on is a pharmacy should you need this. We found the Chinese all your could eat for 9.50 euros was excellent value and lovely food - as was the restaurant next door that had a 3 course meal for 10.50 euro (good choice of selection) - we also found that is was easier this way to walk back down hill after shopping or a good meal - the distance to walk is about the same either way. There is a lovely walk on the promenade in to Puerto Rico which takes around 50 - 60 mins from the hotel at a steady pace and again the views are amazing. You can either do this by going down the hill to the beach, and then taking the route to the left at the end of the road (you can see this winding upwards with a wall) or by going up the hill to the Europa shopping site and then down the other side which joins the walk way a little further down. The resort is hilly and perhaps not very good for anyone that is not too fit or good with walking- but we enjoyed the up and down walks and the views and scenery make it worth while. We would certainly not hesitate to go back here again - it was so peaceful and relaxing and we had should a lovely week - thanks to all at the apartments for making it so.More
Just returned from a very relaxing stay. Booked last minute on a wim and turned up quite stressed from a busy time at work. Within a day I was horizontal , we were given room 114 which had the sun on it from 9am through till 7pm. We took full advantage of the spacious balcony with sun beds and table and chairs. As previous reviews have stated the apartments are well equipped even coming with washing machine. All appliances are very modern and help your stay to be more relaxing. The staff were all great and very helpful. I have only one small gripe the hotel advertises late checkout but doesn't state subject to availability so you think late checkout won't be a problem but it is , we couldn't actually get late checkout as our room was needed later that day. It didn't bother us hugely as they had a courtesy room above reception just took the gloss off a little. If you are looking for a very chill out holiday then I can highly recommend these apartments and we will probably return ourselves. More
