The Seaside Grand Hotel Residencia is part of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World collection. It’s set in tropical gardens, and has a state-of-the-art spa and a fine dining restaurant.
This hotel has been styled like a Mediterranean village, with rows of whitewashed, terracotta-roofed buildings. The grounds are really tropical – palm trees and potted plants decorate the pathways, and balconies are cloaked in bougainvillea.
This is the only hotel in Gran Canaria that belongs to the Leading Hotels of the World collection. It’s got a top spa, interiors dreamt up by French designer, Alberto Pinto, and a restaurant that made it into the 2016 Michelin Guide.

A little piece of heaven....
that's it, I've found my perfect hotel. This is the 5th time I stayed here, and I will definitely keep on returning. Wonderful hotel, great rooms, superb service, lovely people, perfect location, and divine food (and wine :-)). You can escape the world around you, sit back and completely relax. Again a big thank you to the whole team!! See you next year!More
A perfectly relaxed, beautifully managed and still unfussy escape from whatever reality you need to escape at the moment. Have stayed here in January and in July and the difference is only a couple of degrees Celsius, which in the dry air hardly matters. Very comfortable rooms (if you have an engineering PhD you may understand the workings of the wonderbath rather quicker than I did) with terraces onto cactus, hibiscus, visiting hoopoes, whole sheets of bougainvillea: colour and flowers. A very good kitchen which is only occasionally a bit over-strenuous. Staff who manage charm and efficiency and warmth (and a sense of humour) who cope with reality for you so you truly have nothing to do except to decide what to have for dinner. Close to dunes and ocean if, inexplicably, you feel the need to leave the hotel at all...More
Second stay at this great hotel, we had a late arrival after the restaurant had closed and they had put food into our room for us to enjoy after a welcome drink. Everyone from the man welcoming us at the door to the maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds are immaculate. The staff work very hard to make your stay enjoyable without every being intrusive. It is a quiet hotel with an older clientele but we were looking for a peaceful break so it fitted the bill perfectly. It has a sister hotel which is larger. It really is an oasis of calm. The manager should be very proud of his staff as their hard work can be seen everywhere from the man who sorts out the sunbeds to the restaurant staff.Yes it can get busy on the terrace for dinner in the evening, the view from there as the sun goes down is lovely, but the food is worth the wait! Can't wait to visit againMore
World class hotel
This is a world class hotel. Exceptional service, food, facilities and rooms. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. So much so, that we have returned again and again. From the first moments you arrive, you are guaranteed a warm welcome. The staff are charming and always go the extra mile to accommodate all guests. It is an oasis of calm, as it caters for a quiet type of client. We class this hotel as our home from home and the staff seem more like family than staff. The management have a high profile every day and ensure that the highest standards are implemented in all areas. We just cannot praise this hotel enough. We travel all over the world and stay in the best five star hotels but make sure that we return to the Gran Residencia whenever we can. All the staff need to be congratulated on their team work to ensure that this remains an outstanding Leading Hotel of the World. A huge thank you to all the staff.More
Another great visit.
We have stayed at this lovely hotel several times before and it has become like a second home to us. We always receive a warm welcome by all of the staff. The accommodation is kept spotless, and has everything in it you need, including tea and coffiee facilities, luxury bathroom amenities and free wifi. One of the hightlights for us is the evening meal. From reading the menu to enjoying the dishes, dinner is a wonderful experience. The chef and his team are truly taleneted, and we would not hesitate in recommending booking the half board. We had a wonderful relaxing week and have already booked for our return visit later this year. This hotel is truly a wonderful find.More
