First Class Experience!
Just stayed at the Grand Hotel Residencia and had to write a review because we just had the most amazing time. Before we arrived I emailed the hotel with a couple of questions and the response was so quick and so helpful. Amazing service before we had even arrived! Then when we did arrive we received such a welcoming and friendly reception and a lovely tour of the hotel. We arrived at 9pm so we were so pleased the restaurant served until 10pm. We started off our holiday with an exceptional meal in the restaurant that had such a beautiful setting and the al carte menu and BBQ was continually fantastic throughout our stay. Our room request was accommodated and we loved the decor of the room. It was also immaculately clean as was the entire hotel. The pool area was so nice to sit at each day. The pool staff were very helpful as were all the staff. Everyone was friendly, extremely helpful, efficient and accommodating throughout our stay. The hotel was in a great location, very near the beach and shops, however we chose to just stay by the pool everyday because it was so relaxing and quiet there. There was also a pool restaurant which we ate lunch at everyday because the food was so nice and the service so great. We loved also that the breakfast was served until 11am and the restaurant served dinner until 10pm and the evening entertainment was really enjoyable every night. We wanted to get away for a relaxing break at the end of April and our stay at the Grand Hotel Residencia was everything we wanted and more! We will definitely be returning again. More
We had ten days at this lovely hotel. We found the staff delightful - nothing was too much trouble. My husband is disabled and requests for aids in the bathroom were met before we even got to the room. We were on the ground floor of the A type rooms - with adapted bathroom - and it couldn't have been nicer. We were glad we were not in one of the poolside rooms which seemed a bit public. My sister was upstairs in the same house. The pool was delightful and never very full. The weather was glorious so we swam a lot. Pool attendants were very helpful and lunch at the poolside bar excellent. The food altogether was fantastic, particularly the barbecue/buffet evenings and amazing breakfasts with food cooked to order by a particularly pleasant lady. We went on a couple of trips which the desk organised for us - both very successful. The ladies behind the desk also arranged for the television in the bar to be tuned to the correct channel for Cheltenham races at the correct time - and also the Six Nations rugby. I had ordered an electric buggy for my husband which had been delivered and was extremely useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel wholeheartedly.More

True 5 star hotel.
A true 5 star hotel because of the service. Can't remember the last time we received such good consistent service. Lots of nice little touches around the place. Excellent front of house staff. Mainly over 55 clientele. Toilet Report: Excellent Pricing: high Recomendations to Owner: Put this review on the kitchen fridge door where staff can see it. Recomendations to Chef: More garnish on pool bar dishes. More
We are a family of four with two teenage kids (one of whom was revising for his exams). Our goal was a week of total relaxation in the sun and on this Grand Hotel Residencia delivered handsomely. As mentioned in previous reviews the staff (without exception) are excellent; welcoming, attentive but not intrusive. The rooms are reasonably well appointed and are very well maintained and serviced, with all the little touches you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The pool area is of a decent size with plenty of beds and towels. The pool itself is not huge but then on our visit it was never busy and it is heated and well maintained. The food was a highlight, I would particularly mention the lunch, where the menu was extensive with appetising daily dishes and the food was delicious and prepared to a high standard. Dinner was also good, particularly the twice weekly barbecue which in terms of quality and choice was one of the best buffet meals I can remember having. Finally, I would just make the observation that this is a quiet hotel with a clientele skewed to the 50plus age bracket and there is not a lot to do in the locality (but then again it was hard to justify going out given the attractions of the pool and the quality of the food on offer). This suited our requirements perfectly and we would have no hesitation returning but had we been looking for a less sedentary break or were our children younger and more in need of entertainment.... Brilliant hotel with fantastic staff
This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and it gets better with each visit. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff are amazing. We had a slight issue with our room the management were very good and was moved to a brilliant Suite with a pool view. The restaurant had lovely views over the pool if you want to dine al fresco or a very good inside seating area. Buffet breakfast is really good and the evening meal is " Fine Dining", which was not to our liking but very well presented. The hotel has a superb BBQ night on Sunday and Wednesday, not to be missed. All the staff are brilliant but we would like to say a special thank you to Paula & Paco from the restaurant who gave us brilliant service, always with a smile, very professional but with a brilliant sense of humour. It was my birthday whilst we were staying at the hotel and the management made me feel very special. To you all Thank you.More
