Back again in IFA FARO
We had another nice stay in this hotel and enjoyed it much. A place where you feel welcomed. The staff is very customer orientated, friendly and helpful. The location direct on the beach and the beautiful view from More
Last year we stayed in the Lopesan Costa across the road, on recommendation for this year we booked the IFA Faro, and we are so glad we did. It was even better than expected. Check In - Quick and efficient by very friendly staff with good English, Luggage was taken to our room. Room - We had room 1411 - double Sea View. The view was amazing, The hotel is right on the beach. The room was large and clean with tv, complimentary toiletry's mini bar etc. Its quirky with the bathroom in the room. Maid service was excellent and room kept very clean. Only niggle is lack of English TV channels . Pool Area - large and clean pool area . Best bit is reserved sunbeds for your stay, its takes away so much stress ! Pool manager was extremely helpful in finding us beds we liked. If you cant find in first few days, he will help to move you around until your happy. Pool towels are supplied and can be changed for 1 euro whenever you like. Pool is heated but could be a wee bit hotter. Pool Bar - the food in the pool bar is some of the best we have ever eaten. Normally on holiday we go out for lunch but stayed here most days as it was just so good. The omelettes are the best I've ever had, so good I really wanted to ask Chef to show me how to make ! Hubby had the Steak Sandwich quite a few times it was so good. Evening restaurant - we were B & B only as we like to go out and about but decided to try the buffet on our 3rd night . We ate there for the rest of the holiday. The choice and quality is amazing, fresh fish, meat , chickem, salads, something for everyone. Entertainment - Depending on your tastes you will like or not, we loved the circus acts, the Spanish / Irish Fusion , not so much some of the duets, but its personal taste. Staff - the staff are a real credit to the hotel, every single person from Reception to waiters were really friendly and welcoming. Other - there are a few boutique shops and a hairdresser in the lobby of the hotel. We loved the hotel so much we have already booked to come back in Septemeber and cant wait. Thank you IFA Faro for making our holiday so enjoyable and relaxing.More
Great hotel and position
Stayed for a week end of may start of June 20017 . Booked hotel for beach position . Exceeded my expectations . Hotel not recommended for young children , took our 12 year old daughter she was only child . Perfect as far as I'm concerned. Hotel staff amazing , food great , good sea view room . Mainly German guests perfect for me very respectful adults . Pool bed reserved for your stay so no fight in morning. We have booked same week next year on return.More

Loved this hotel. True is not the most modern but this doesn't matter. The staff and the facilities are great. Right next to the beach, the location is great and the surroundings offer many facilities! I will come back. This hotel has a great system to allocate sunbeds and as they don't really cater for children, you can really relax by the pool. Thank you!More
This was our first time to Maspolomas so first time to this hotel. It looks lovely from the outside and the reception area is big and spacious. We were greeted warmly by a receptionist who spoke good English. She advised us we had booked a standard room however they had upgraded us to a room with a sea view which was on the side of the hotel. The room was fine maybe in need of modernising , the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The balcony was lovely as the sun was there until about 11am each morning and sheltered from the breeze. This is the first time we have been in a hotel were you can select your sunbeds and they are yours for duration of your stay you need a voucher from reception for this. It was difficult to find any beds that weren't booked but eventually we got 2 not necessarily where we wanted to be but the sun did move round. It was also disappointing to see so many beds tagged that were not used which restricts others from using them. The pool area is lovely very clean but the beds are very close together with little room to move them as the sun moves. The hotel has internet apparently but throughout the hotel only in certain areas!! If you wanted full access you could buy this at €2 per day we declined this. We were only bed and breakfast which was fine it was buffet style with plenty of choice. We ate out every night in the many restaurants around. The gem for me was being able to walk out of the hotel and be right on the beach it was lovely to hear the waves of the sea from your sun bed. We will definitely go back to Maspolomas and this hotel as there are other resorts we would like to see Port Mogan was recommended to us but we didn't get there this time. Overall a good hotel with some quirks.More
