This palatial hotel puts you right by the beach. It also comes with four massive pools and lots of fantastic places to eat.
This place is more like a big palace than a hotel. Four huge pools wind their way through the gardens, where you’ll also find four poolside snack bars and four tennis courts. The grounds lead right onto a sandy beach.
The hotel has a big choice of restaurants, with the star turn being the gourmet place. There’s regular live entertainment, too, while pampering comes courtesy of the luxury spa.

Not chuffed with the amenities on offer.
The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning. However, this being considered a luxury hotel, a few things about really annoy me. 1. The ac is not independently controlled, we come from a cold climate and are not accustomed to heat, we come for the sun yes, but when it's time to go back to the room you want it cool, not to be uncomfortable. 2. 12€ for a token and two soap powder tablets really?! To wash and tumble dry one load of washing would cost 24€, how do you work that out?! Also my wife told the woman at the concierge desk, she didn't need the washing tablets (as we bought washing powder), they woman told my wife to take them home as a souvenir, that's a bit cheeky. 3. No complimentary wifi, except down at the central bar. Really not acceptable on this day and age, big fancy hotel cannot provide complimentary wifi, but cafes can? Strikes me as just greed.More
Return with friends
Fantastic hotel in lovely location, everything about this hotel is first class, staff are very helpful and friendly, it is spotless clean and is run very efficiently so that even at very busy times guests are well looked after. Pools and areas are very well maintained with an abundance of sunbeds, which are not available to reserve, so if you want a good spot get out of bed early as you may struggle to find your perfect spot- ours was right by the pool - towels are provided free but if you wish to change them during your stay you do have to pay (think its a couple of euros) umbrellas are provided free of charge. Food is excellent and is always fresh and of good quality with a good choice to suit even the fussiest of eaters, in fact there is so much choice you sometimes struggle to find the appetite to fit it all in! If I could find one complaint, it would be the wifi, we paid for the extra wifi (couple of euros per day) but still found some areas of the hotel difficult to get decent signal, but its not a massive problem for me as nice to go on holiday and just relax, otherwise this hotel is excellent in every way, and suits couples of any age and also young families as it is a very safe and peaceful place to stay, no rowdy gangs or hen or stag parties here!More
Great entertainment and excellent service. The facilities are superb and the decor is absolutely fantastic. The gardens and the area were the live entertainment is held is magnificent. It was worth every penny and will recommend to friends. I Will definitely be returning.More
Not for us
If you going as a couple this may not be the place for you.We stayed for two weeks and have never been anywhere with so many screaming little ones.We went to the 8.30 dinner and they were still everywhere.Breakfast was worse... plus the arrangement of the fresh cooking stations should be looked at ( as a previous reviewer detailed )as it can be total chaos. The last four nights we gave up and just had salad...never had a freshly cooked egg in the time there. There are good points..The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable with the best air-con we've experienced for a while. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are great to look at but we found this was at the cost of places to sunbathe and there was the usual booking going on...to be fair we saw letters placed on reserved beds but this seemed only before 10am. This seems to be an hotel that will be popular with young families but just not for us.More
My wife and myself love this hotel and are due to go back again in early July for the sixth year running. Reading through recent reviews, I was struck by one regarding the swimming pools and the fact that babies in nappies were seen regularly in the pools. We have also even this in our previous visits and would urge the hotel to disallow this practice from the main pools. Similarly , we tend to spend a lot of time around the Ladon pool area. This pool is supposed to be free of lilos or other inflatables and with no ball games allowed. I lost count of how many times these rules were totally ignored and the duty lifeguards did nothing to enforce them. Please, hotel management, do something about this. This small problem did nothing to change our views on this fabulous hotel and we look forward to our visit in a couple of weeks time.More
