This place is more like a village than a hotel – that means you get a big choice of restaurants, bars and pools.
This place is modelled on a traditional Canarian village. The reception area is a full-scale replica of one of the island’s oldest churches, and there’s a central square where you’ll find an Italian restaurant.
You’re a few minutes’ stroll from Meloneras’s sand-and-shingle beach. And it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk to Meloneras’s paved promenade, which is lined with shops and restaurants.

La Vida Lopesan
This was our first time at such a large hotel and what appears to be a purpose built resort. Bravo on both counts. While hubby arranged to play golf (he's retired) I could laze around the pool (I'm still working). Big choice of lounging areas all with their own different ambience. The gardens deserve a mention too because we were serenaded by black birds, sparrows and spotted a coloured specimen which we eventually realised was a woodpecker. The planting was lovely and seemed to be tended daily. The food was really very good and there was something to suit everybody. The service was excellent, professional with a smile in all areas. We were breakfast only but did eat in the hotel a couple of times. I'd booked a sea view room but mistook the European first floor for the one above the ground, which it isn't. Still, I could see the sea and the room was extremely well placed. The dressing rooms are a great idea that I've only encountered once before. I can forgive the Wifi as I don't spend much time on line when I'm on holiday. The safe is a bit mean but seemingly company policy BUT what spoiled it a bit was the non-existent sound proofing. We only had folks on one side and above but everything could be heard and the folks upstairs seemed to move their furniture rather a lot which, during the day, isn't actually a cause for complaint.More
We visit this hotel usually twice a year and always have a lovely relaxing holiday. The Hotel is very well run with friendly staff and the food is excellent. We particularly enjoy sitting in the La Plaza square for drinks in the evening and sitting around in the morning after our leisurely breakfast.More

Return visit good as the first
It is very rare we return to hotels for holidays as we tend to find they do not live up to expectations and memories. On our return visit everything was as good as the first visit we the added benefit of a new restaurant and improved courtyard area for evening drinks or relaxing in the day. Rooms nice and spacious no frills but what they say on the tin. Buffet with varied food each evening and first class staff who are extremely helpful and keen to assist guests in every way possible. Lots of facilities and activities if you want that or if not great quiet pool where you can do nothing for a week or so. One minor request to the management is please invest in some cushions for the sun beds and we will be back for another visitMore

We chose Villa del Conde because we wanted a bit of luxury after a tough few months at the beginning of the year. I found a great deal with Jet2 holidays, as an Indulgent Escape package, which included private transfers, priority security, extra luggage allowance, free drinks on plane, and a free leather document wallet and luggage tags. I booked a standard double with Seaview, but upon checking in, we were told we were being given a free upgrade as all standard doubles with Seaview were taken. So we had a penthouse deluxe double with sea views. It was amazing! I've attached pictures. I loved the terrace with sunbeds, and the bed was massive and so comfy! Couldn't fault it. The hotel was so beautiful, so many places to sunbathe, swim and chill. We loved the salt water lagoon and spent everyday there. No need to reserve sunbeds, there's loads. The service was fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you. I found if you were friendly and polite, they responded the same. Shame some of our European cousins don't know how to be polite. Food wise, caters more for other nationalities, but always found something. Drinks slightly expensive but is a 5 star hotel. Location wise I think it's ideal, only a nice 10 minute stroll along the promenade to the shops and bars, and bus station if you wish to explore. All in all, a fabulous holiday which we enjoyed immensely.More
Great hotel, ideally located !
Second visit for us at Villa del Conde in Maspalomas. I gave a 4 stars because it is what this hotel deserve in my opinions. Very good on a lot of points but some must be improve in order to be a real 5 stars hotel. Reading the comment of other customer and you will have the "picture" of this Lopesan hotel. Even if in every comment, the hotel respond saying that they will transfer to management and that our opinion will be taken in consideration, they don't do anything about it. There is really no consideration for the customer except for their money of course. Having to pay for the Wifi (bad quality), for the safe (which is anyway installed in the room), 2 euros to play pool at the bar, no possibility to make yourself a coffee in the room,... So many ridiculous attitude that are tiring. The hotel himself is beautiful with an impressive reception hall, a wonderful "plaza" where the restaurants are installed. This hotel very well organized with several pools (some heated, some not, some with sea water, silence pool, pool for kids, one with gravel...). The breakfast is generous, with a lot of choice ( fruits are defrost ) and the opening hour are wide. With the half board, you have access to two different place for the dinner. Both are buffets with always a choice of starters, sea food, fish, meat, pasta, vegetables, cheese and desert. Quality is very high, you can eat pretty much everything ! The waiters are friendly and helpful for most of them. One tried to stop my wife from bringing her tea from breakfast to the room ! We had to explain him who was the customer. Avoid the restaurant for the lunch next to the swimming pool. Doesn't meet any standard really. Bad food quality, no taste, they make you 1,5⬠for a piece of bread and waiter tired and not very welcoming. The standard room are bigger than expected. They have a nice bathroom with a bath, separated shower, two sinks and a toilet. A big closet, a large bed and a terrace. The very bad point is, as every one complaining, the acoustic isolation. If your neighbor talk, move a chair, go to toilet,... you heard it. For the rest, amazing view, great location, nice weather !More
