This place is more like a village than a hotel – that means you get a big choice of restaurants, bars and pools.
This place is modelled on a traditional Canarian village. The reception area is a full-scale replica of one of the island’s oldest churches, and there’s a central square where you’ll find an Italian restaurant.
You’re a few minutes’ stroll from Meloneras’s sand-and-shingle beach. And it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk to Meloneras’s paved promenade, which is lined with shops and restaurants.

Noisy neighbours but receptionist Ana to the rescue
Upon arrival we were very impressed with the friendly and professional greeting we received at reception - thanks to receptionist Ana. Our allocated room was good and all was well until the early hours of the morning when our neighbours in room 3211 returned making excessive noise disturbing our sleep. Maybe I should have confronted our neighbours but chose not to incase I over-stepped the mark. Next morning we spoke with reception and the excellent Ana found us an alternative room. Day 2 wasn't the best - packing, moving room then un-packing again - but following an afternoon nap catching up on lost sleep the remainder of our stay was very good. Overall this hotel has a lot to offer and we hope to return. Excessive noise must be a fairly regular problem for the hotel to deal with. My own view is that the offending party should be the ones to move not the innocent party. Maybe a "two strikes and out" policy might also curb unsocial behaviour?More
Perfect hotel. Not crowded by the pools. Booked a tennis lesson which was great. Spa was a bit expensive but really good. Nice surroundings. The italian restaurant at the hotel had a truffle pasta that was so good we had to go there twice during our one week stay. Ping pong table outside the room was really fun. Great service, nice drinks. They had many activities but we didn't get the activity schedule until the last day so we didn't know. Great evening entertainment by the band. We had a standard room that was ok, very clean. They seemed to have a cool bar in the middle floor but it was closed mostly.More

A great week at the Villa del Conde
Just finished an excellent week staying at the Lopesan Villa del Conde. All the staff we encountered were helpful and very friendly - I'd read with some concern some of the comments on here about service being poor but that isn't something we experienced at all. The place is very cleverly designed with gardens, pools and differently styled blocks so it doesn't really feel like you're staying in a very large hotel. We didn't eat in the restaurants, at apart from breakfasts (which were excellent we thought), although we would have liked to have eaten in the a la carte restaurant, there was no vegetarian main course on the menu so we didn't bother. The rooms are very large (bathrooms too with bath, separate shower and two basins). we had a sea view room in block F - although it would have more accurately been described as a side sea view. If you want to be near the sea you should specify blocks F or G when booking. It also means your farthest from the entertainment, which can be quite noisy although it doesn't go on late. Our only (minor) gripe was that the sound insulation in the rooms wasn't great - you could plainly hear people moving around, flushing toilets etc. Thankfully we had quiet neighbours mostly. All in all a really nice hotel, with good staff that I'd recommend. We would go back here. More
very good but a few niggles!
We stayed at this hotel from 9-19 March. It is a large hotel with accomodation spread across the site in different blocks. Our room was vaery spacious with a lounge area attached to the bedroom, an en suite and a separate dressing room and a balcony overlooking one of the pools and the sea - all very good. The food was excellent with a comprehensive buffet and a cooking area where you could get meat and fish freshly cooked.Drink prices were very reasonable. Evening entertainment was also very good with a range of acts fron music to acrobats to magic. There were however some niggles not expected of a 5 star hotel and on arrival we were told the following: 1. If we wanted to use the safe in our room it would cost 2.5 euro per night - we paid for this.. 2. If wanted to have wi fi in our room it would cost 3 euro per night - we declined this. Howeve, it was free in the main reception area.- but was an absolute nightmare to log into and we had to have help on every occasion we used it. 3. The pillows on our bed were fine but if we wanted to change to an anti allergonic or 5 other pillow types, it would cost between 6 - 12 euro per night. We kept our original pillows. 4. Wine in the restaurant was reasonable priced but if you did not finish your bottle, you had to take it away with you and could not bring it back on the next night. 5. Finally, the staff were all very helpful but few spoke english and very few spoke good english. Having said all that we would go back again but I hope the hotel management will note our comments and take action.More
This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The food was really good in the buffet restaurants and the other Restaurant which we went to was like Michel starred. The hotel room was good, very spacious, large bed, settee for relaxing. Outside was a small sitting area. Overall I could not fault this hotel. Staff all very helpful. Reception area beautiful. More
