Hotel and location good
Rooms were spacious and clean. If you prefer a quieter pool, go to the one over by the suites (most adults went there as the pool is deeper). Entertainment quite good. Let down slightly by buffet restaurant in the evenings. At the griddle it became a bit of a free for all waiting for fresh food to be cooked. Waiting staff struggled to clear the tables quickly making it difficult to find a clean table at times. However there was a good variety of food and plenty of it. Five minute walk to Yumbo Centre which is lively and entertaining. Shuttle bus goes to the beach throughout the day which was handy.More
average 4 star hotel
reception we arrived mid afternoon, two ladies on reception booked us in,all inclusive band and Superior room.they did not seem to speak very good english, but found out later they where not normal reception staff. rooms. all rooms in main hotel are considered superior rooms,to me they look like normal 4 star hotel rooms, there is a decent balcony although not very private, there is a fold away clothes drier two chairs and two foot stools, are room was on the 6th floor overlooking the pool, sun most of the day.the air conditioning was the fan only as far as i could make out, there are no draws of any kind for cothes, only shelves in wardrobe and side of bed.there was tea making facility's in room.beds where reasonably comfortable.safe cost 30 euros for 7 days with 12 euros deposit.the bathroom has hair dryer single wash basin and walk in rain shower, with a rearly difficult contol system, but that might be me. restaurants food in main restaurant is quite good, lots of choice, not always hot,but thats normal in most all inclusive buffys .it has a nice outside area.wine and beer is self service and ok.the downside is it gets very busy with both blocks of buildings using the same restaurant.there is a alacart restaurant which you can use one time per week, this is next to pool near apartment block we found this very good and should not be missed. bars and swimming pools. the smaller pool is near hotel and is a walk in pool, good for children and people who are not strong swimmers, sunbeds where plentiful and had no problem.pool bar has a.i. area for food and drinks including help your self beer wine and amazingly spirits.second bigger pool is near apartment block, this pool has steps down but beware it is the deep end once off the steps you cant touch the bottom, the shallow end is about 4ft deep.however if you are a good swimmer the best pool for you.the halowa bar has same facility's as the other bar.plenty of sun beds. hotel position. long walk to beach 25 mins 10 mins to yumbo centre hotel run shuttle bus to beach throughout the day.More
Short break in Gran Canaria
My sister and myself had s short break in Gran Canaria. The hotel was good, but not excellent. The cleanliness was fair, not excellent, the food was average, but the utter chaos in the restaurant was so bad it stopped us eating there. More

Great hotel but sad restaurant.
The service is this hotel is almost 5 stars. The only thing getting it down is the restaurant food and service. The reception team are fantastic as is the bar staff. The pool and VIP area are great. I would return again but only on a self catering basis. More
